Dear Sally,
I hate my class because I feel like teachers teach us things that we would never use in the real world. It seems to complication and will be quickly forgotten once we leave high school. It’s hard for me to care about something that I’ll never need. What should I do?
Love, Unmotivated
Dear Unmotivated,
Even though it seems like what you learn may be useless, most skills build up logic and critical thinking skills. Thinking and problem solving are used every day in almost every work field. Also, if ...

Oh my gosh! Did you see that new episode of “The Best Thing I ever Ate” last night? Man that crispy golden brown corn-dog that they showed looked sooooo delicious. And that one soft moist velvet cake they showed, ohhhhh, it looked yummy.
There are so many shows on TV now that one could watch either great, lame, funny or serious shows, many genres to pick out of. You decide what you want to watch. Me personally, I prefer the comedy channel, fox, Cartoon Network and, of course, the food channel. ...

Due to budget cuts, students may now receive the weighted grade for their AP classes even if they do not take the AP test. Previously the schools covered the costs of the test and students were required to complete the test to receive the weighted credit. A negative to this is the cost of the tests. For students who receive free or reduced lunch it is a pretty costly $57.00. For students who do not receive aid it is a whopping $82.00.
Although this seems like a huge amount of ...

The Ligers and Tigons!!!

The liger is a cat born from the breeding of a male lion and a female tiger. This combo produces an offspring with more lion like features than if the reverse pairing had occured. That would produce a more tiger like creature known as a tigon. Both are members of genus Panthera. There is no scientific name assigned to this animal because of its human assisted breeding.

A liger looks like a giant lion with faded stripes but like thier tiger ancestors, ligers like swimming. This goes against the nature of a lion ...

Honey Badgers

These are some of the baddest little furry bros on the block. A honey badger is a weasel dog like animal that lives in southwest Asia. They can grow up to 11 in. and way up to 35 lbs. But don’t underestimate this small animal.Pound for pound this is one of the toughest land animals to date. Don’t believe me? Well can you fight off a Jaguar with your bare hand? First of all if you can fight a Jaguar then you deserve a Nobel Peace Prize or something ...

Every year on February 14th , people come together exchanging cards, cute stuffed animals, chocolate, and other gifts on this love filled holiday. But have you ever wondered why? Who could have possibly come up with this day dedicated to hearts, love, and all this mush?
There are a few theories of the “true history” of valentines day. One of the legends includes a man, Saint Valentine, who appears to be sympathetic, heroic, and romantic. One of the legends contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third ...
