What inspired the title of your project ("Beauty & The Beat")?

The story is funny I was at Reckless Records browsing through some music a month before I was done with my mixtape and I seen this CD from like 2005 from a group called "Edan" the title of their album was actually "Beauty and The Beat" I just loved the title so much I felt like it well suited me and my music especially since I spent most of the winter with just me and random beats.

Only 4 The Real praised your "Tatted Up (Remix)". How important is it

to receive a positive critical reception for your work?

Its very important that you receive good feedback on your music especially when it comes to your first project, people tend to give your music one listen and if they don't like it they may never press that play button again. I'm still a beginning artist but I plan on growing more and more artistically with every project I do.

Do you have any videos from B&TB in the works?

Yes, I am definitely doing videos for this project, videos make your music come to life. I plan on doing at least two or three, everything's pretty much in the works.

When did you know that singing was the career path

you wanted to pursue?

I knew it was the path I wanted to take mostly because there was never anything else I really wanted to do, Ive been saying I wanted to be a singer since I was like 4. Then I got into songwriting so that just pushed me pursue it even more.

What do you think of the current Chicago music scene?

The Chicago music is scene seems to be in a good place right now, artist are finally getting recognition over here,this was almost unheard of a few years ago.

What is one thing people would be surprised to find out about you?

People would be surprised to know I'm actually a huge hip-hop head. You could find me at a Nas or Ghostface concert screaming the lyrics at the top of my lungs, I'll give some of these dudes competition when it comes to hip-hop knowledge lol.
