The swimming sure was fine on this sunny day.

The Lake Champlain Byway didn't turn out to be the fun we were looking for- two lane scenic road is good for the cycling enthusiast but not so family/kid friendly, so the pool it was.

Moments before Keira runs shin deep into the river. She runs in about 2 feet from shore, stops, looks down and says, "Uh oh, wet."

The trail goes from the center of Farmington to Collinsville. If you've never done it before, highly recommend it. One way is just over 10 miles and there are plenty of stops along the way, including mini golf and ice cream! We'll make that stop next time.

As I sit here and work on Keira's blog, Keira is methodically and obsessively placing rocks from our floor plant planter up underneath Baby Lilly's blouse, who Keira has laid out on the sofa end table like some sort of surgical set up. Now she is banging on the lamp shade on the end table and watching how the shadows cast from the lamp dance across the wall.... I could sit and watch her play for hours, she is so cute.
By the way, the times of these posts are off. Have to figure out that setting.

Mommy's and Daddy's 3rd Anniversary

May 2, 2012 we all celebrated mommy's and daddy's 3rd wedding anniversary at the new Buffalo Wild Wings in Manchester, CT. This place is great! Over 40 beers on tap, good food (although a bit on the salty side), and so much noise that temper tantrums with full-on screaming at the top of one's lungs is barely noticed. We'll be certain to visit BWWs again.

Vocab explosion!

Keira is really upping her vocabulary, some of her most recent comments include: "Mommy, I'm coming!" "Milk!" "Cereal!" "I'm stuck!" "Strawberry" "I did it!" and "I love you." She can also name all the animals in her animal book, including elephant, zebra, fish, and monkey. She regularly belts out the alphabet and claps at the end of the song. She also attempts "Twinkle twinkle little star," " Row row row your boat," "Rockabye baby," and Daddy's favorite "Little skiier Foo-Foo." "Splish splash" is also a favorite for bathtime, but Mommy doesn't know all the words, so we sing an abbreviated version! She can pretty much repeat any word we say, but it's so much more fun when she comes up with something on her own!

Doesn't love the helmet

Not too psyched to be wearing the helmet. Maybe it's because the bike trailer sits her up too straight and the back of the helmet keeps her head from resting back. We need to try something else for longer bike rides: either the piggy-back seat or fabricate a recline position in the bike trailer.

Keira says "please!"

We've started this blog so family and friends can follow Keira's latest developments. She is growing and changing so quickly, wish we did this years ago.
Over the past two or three weeks we've been teaching Keira that the "magic word" is "please!" Well today at dinner she wanted an olive from my salad so I asked, "what's the magic word?" And with a big smile she said "PLEASE!!!"...actually it was more like, "PEASE!!!"
