I still get plenty of emails on a daily basis asking me what I am doing, and how I am making money. Answer is same 'ol, same 'ol, however I am keeping things on the down low for now.

I do this for a few reasons, I just want a little "quiet time" before going back and hustling in front of the masses, and because I am rebuilding. There are/have been a lot of business and personal challenges that I have to overcome/overcame before moving on ward.

Yes, I still sell on eBay, yes I still make the majority of my money via the internet. No, I will not give out my ebay usernames. I'll share what I am comfortable with, everything else I am going to keep personal.

Anyway, I want to ask you guys a question..

What are you doing to make money? How are things going with your business? I hope good...

2008 year end wrap up

Just wanted to do a picture blog
style 2008 wrap up of some of the things I got to do this past year...

I got to go to the WSOP, and got hooked up with the VIP seats

Had a fun couple of days at "parks"wedding - such a beautiful wedding, awesome couple!

I grew up with this cat, and we have a lot of memories together!

Went back to vegas to get my poker on

Went to the Bowl game the day before Christmas with the bros/cousins. Hawaii ended up losing BIG TIME. That sucked, but overall it was cool. Also trying to mess around with some camera effects.

scored a really nice tv... a 42" Panasonic plasma off the list of craig, retail $1200... I got it for $400!

This is a few days before Christmas,it was nice and warm! Obama was staying right down the street from our house. His house is 100 yards from where I am standing in the pic above. I tried to go and visit him, but his secret service guys wouldn't let me get close.

A cool side story, I talked to the guy that took the picture of Obama with his shirt off (you know the one with obama sporting his six pack). Anyway, it was just cool to learn the behind the scenes of how the entrepreneurs aka paparazos work. He said the photo of
Obama could fetch as much as six figures depending on how many media outlets
decide to buy it. I'm leaving out a lot, but it was a very interesting conversation.

Helped my bro throw a party, pulled in a couple hundred people. It's cool to take my online marketing skills and apply them to offline marketing. I actually did use a lot of online resources to promote the event.

This is my sisters dog, his name is Bubba. He is the coolest dog in the world. He's just taking in the views and soaking in the sun from our living room window.

Side note: If you want to attract every girl on the beach like metal to a magnet, take this guy with you!

The real secret to making money, is finding a simple method of making money, and then sharing that method with others.

Allow me to explain it in 3 simple steps.

Step 1
Figure out a way to make $100.

Step 2
Put a short report together showing others how you made that $100.

Step 3
Sell it for $5.

Think about it, would you pay $5 to learn how to make $100?

If you sell that $5 report to 10,000 people, you have $50,000!

There it is, that's the real secret....

Black Friday - Puts money in my pocket!

I have always had a thing for finding good deals, and then flipping them for a profit. I don't know what it is, but I get a rush out of it. I also enjoy garage sale hunting, looking for those hidden gems.

I think I got hooked when my dad found a moped for me. He found it at a garage sale, and gave it to me for my birthday! He got it for $75! I ended up using it for a few months then flipping it for $450.

Anyway, I got my hands on a few good deals this black Friday. I should make a nice return on my investment! :) I got up pretty early ~3am! Thats worth at least a few hundy.

Off to get my poker on...

I have received a few comments over the past few months questioning my existence. Yes, I'm still here :)

I have been occupied with a few offline ventures, hence the lack of blogging. I still keep up with the customer service of all of my online businesses, I just haven't been blogging. I am flattered that people actually want to know what's going on in my life via my blog. I get a decent daily visitor count according to my stats, so perhaps I should blog more.

I hope you guys are doing good. Our economy is in shambles, and right now can be a financially trying time. That is why it is more important than ever to come up with CREATIVE ways to make money.

Now more than ever, you MUST have MULTIPLE streams of income. Relying on one source of income is not reliable.

Whether it be downloading one of my products to make money, or taking out a pen and paper, and brainstorming ways to make money. Do something. The key is to take action.

If you really want to make money, the most basic strategy is to find a problem (perhaps one you have yourself), and then find the answer to that problem. Then, you "sell" the answer to others. If you have a problem, there is a likelihood that thousands, maybe even millions, have that same problem.

Put your brain to work! As Napoleon Hill says, "What the mind of man can conceive and believe, It can achieve." Truer words have never been said.

I watched this video in its entirety, and it has definitely given me a new perspective on life. It was a breath of fresh air, something that I needed.

Introducing... Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon. He is dying from pancreatic cancer, he was given 3 months to live. This was his last lecture. It's 76 minutes long (you can skip through some of the virtual reality stuff), but don't sleep on it. He drops golden nugget, after golden nugget, of solid information on how we can fulfill our dreams.

Really is some life changing stuff. Enjoy...

what happens in vegas... and the VIP site

What's up guys and girls, Kekoa here. This past week, we spent a few days in Vegas, it was an amazing time! We got so much in, in just the three days spent there. We got to see Stephen Marley (Bob Marley's son) play at the Hard Rock, easily one of the best reggae shows I have been too, and I have been to many. To top that off we went to UFC 84 (Ultimate Fighting Championship). There, we saw some of the best fighters in the world compete for the victory. The main event was between, BJ Penn (from Hawaii!) and Sean Sherk, BJ knocked out Sherk at the end of the 3rd round! All in all it was a good show! To end our weekend we hit up the pool, lets just say, what happens in vegas, stays in vegas :) (and I'm not talking about what I did, just what I saw ;) The whole vibe of Vegas this past weekend was just solid.

While in Vegas, I was thinking about how fortunate I am to have an internet business. A business that I can literally operate from anywhere in the world (as long as I have a computer and internet connection). I then started thinking about all of the people that I have had the opportunity of working with, also all of the folks that have bought my ebooks (over 20,000 of you guys!), or have done 1 on 1 consulting with me.

I thought to myself, "I am sure they would all want to make money on the net like I am." So I figured that I would start an exclusive, members only site, where I will litterally hand over my secrets of making bank on the net. I will give you all of my ebay selling secrets, and also show you a number of fun, and creative ways of making money! If that wasn't enough, all of the members of my site will get all of my ebooks for FREE, all past ebooks, and ALL future ebooks! It doesn't stop there... you will receive 24/7 access to me, and ALL of my how to guides (that you can resell for profit!).

Kekoa updates you!

I have been away from the computer for a pretty long time now. Don't get me wrong, I still check my emails, and do customer service stuff, but that has been extent of it. I wanted to refocus my ideas, and sometimes taking a step back helps make that possible.

I have also taken some time off to try some other ventures, and they have been quite successful. Something to the tune of $1000 a day. I am not going to tell you what I am doing, because what I am doing is not for everyone.

Anyway, I have been working on other non-ebay projects as of late, some have been more successful than others, but as a whole things are coming along great.

I have received more than a few JV requests in the past few weeks, and I respectfully decline all of them because I want to focus my efforts on my projects, thank you for understanding. I am truly flattered by your interest in wanting to work with me.

Let's see... oh yeah, some people are wondering what I am going to do with the new policies on ebay, just keep an eye on my ebay stuff in the next week or two, I should have some stuff up.

Also there are some other things going around about the ebay pulse, don't believe the hype, haters will hate, it is what it is.

Kekoa64.com bought out by eBay Inc.

HONOLULU, HI (PR Newswire) - EBAY INC. based in San Jose, Calif., has acquired Kekoa64.com and eBay user id Kekoa64. "Kekoa64 - Internet Entrepreneur, eBay PowerSeller" (http://www.kekoa64.com).

Starting May 1st, eBay, and its affiliates, will use the site as a promotional tool. "We are excited at the amazing opportunity to work with Kekoa" says Dennis Breckford, Senior VP of Marketing at eBay, "we look forward to seeing how his ideas can take us to the next level".

The company plans on a complete redesign of the site and blog. eBay also plans to keep his existing product line, as well as develop new products with him. Kekoa will remain the creative force behind the products and promotions, however, eBay will incorporate their own products in to the marketing mix.

"When eBay first contacted me about the opportunity, I thought it was a hoax, one of those phishing emails" says Kekoa Chung, 24, Kailua, HI. "The funny thing is, I was actually suspended (from eBay) at the time, and I thought it was a bit ironic that they wanted to buy me out. When I learned that it was infact true, I called Dennis and jumped on the idea."

eBay Inc. plans on acquiring more PowerSellers like Kekoa to promote it's website to more targeted niches. "This is the first of many more acquisitions to come" says Breckford.

Breckford will not discuss the amount Kekoa64.com was purchased for, but says that he will "not have to work another day in his life".

Joy defies the laws of economics in that it's not something that we have less of when we give it away. Joy is something that grows greater for the giver as it is given. The more you give, the more you have.

Guess who's back on eBay? Yours truly!

It took 35 days, but who's counting?

Anyway the entire ordeal is OVER, thank goodness. I owe a HUGE thanks to my new friends at the eBay Trust and Safety department. Although it took longer than expected, with a little persistence, actually, with A LOT of persistence, we got it squared away. I told the few folks that I got to know over the course of the month, that if they ever came to Hawaii, I would personally take them surfing.

Anyways, theres a lesson to be learned in all of this. I was getting a lot of emails from you guys saying that you were in the same situation, and with each email that I read, my hope was fading. But, if you know anything about me, if I want something bad enough, I will keep trying until I get it.

That's exactly what happened in this situation, I LITERALLY got about 35 "NOs", seriously. I was told that I would not be able to get my account back up, because I was linked to an account that I had no clue of. It was super frustrating, and after about the 25th "NO" I was about to give up.

Then... something kicked in, and I started to think, "nothing is impossible". There HAS to be away for me to get back on, and guess what, I was right. There is a solution to every problem, finding that solution may take a while, in my case 35 days, but the solution is there.

My advice to you in business, in life, in all things, never give up, don't EVER take "NO" for an answer. It's so cliche, but seriously, if at first you don't succeed, TRY and TRY again. :)

Sometimes I think we are given these problems to make us better, faster, and stronger. I know for a fact that this mini vacation from eBay has made me a lot stronger. Sometimes you have to experience pain, in order to experience joy.

Anyways, that was my motivational speech for the week.

Big news in the world of selling digital goods on eBay

Today I was flooded with emails from many eBay entrepreneurs regarding the new policy change that eBay will be implementing on the 31st of March. As many of you may or may not know, eBay is no longer allowing digital goods for sale using the auction style, fixed format, or store listings. You must use the ad format.

Here's my take on the situation...

This new policy will kill the small guy and all the sellers who sell the garbage ebooks. All of the penny ebooks will disappear, you will not see any amateurs selling ebooks any more. The competition will decrease, and that means the sellers who can effectively use the ad format will profit in a big way.

Because there will be no more ebooks sold through eBay, but outside of it, ebook sellers will have to have their own websites, and their own automated delivery systems. The eBay digital delivery system will no longer be operating.

All of the sellers that have 100s of ebooks for sale on ebay will no longer be able to afford to list all those ebooks anymore, it is just not financially feasible or sound.

Positives of the new policy

- less competition
- it will clean up the ebook categories, no more cheap junk
- only the strong will survive
- no more final value fees
- no more negative feedback

Negatives of the new policy

- those who only sell ebooks will lose PowerSeller status
- those who have store listings will have to remove them
- no more positive feedback

This is no doubt a big change to the structure of eBay's digital goods department, this will affect many people. The key is to be creative and think outside the box!

I already have a few ideas of what I am going to do.

With out going into details, here's a hint... Its not what you think, but it is...

Be creative, think outside the box, and you will prevail!

Latest update on the ebay suspension

Okay, so here's the situation...

They say that in order for me to get my account back up, I need to have the other account, that I am supposedly "linked" to unsuspended. All I am thinking right now is, "if there's a will there's a way". It may sound impossible to the average person, but it's possible.

As for sales, they are still going strong, and now I don't have any eBay fees to pay :). I've been working on some other projects and I'll let you know about them in a little bit.

As an entrepreneur, I always have ideas for making money. This break from eBay is giving me that time to work on other ideas. Personally, I love eBay, and I know this is just one big misunderstanding, when its all worked out, I will go back and dominate the eBook market.

No struggle, no progress! Think about that one...

What happened to my eBay account?

I have had a number of emails from people wondering what happened to my eBay account.

To put it simply, I have been suspended. My account was suspended because eBay says that I am linked to another suspended account. They gave me the name of the user id, and I have absolutely NO CLUE to who that person is. I have never and will never associate myself with other suspended users.

I can GUARANTEE you that this was just one BIG MISTAKE on eBay's part. I am working it out with them, and plan on being back up shortly.

Busy, busy, busy!

I haven't quite had the time to write any real meaningful blogs, yet... I have been ultra busy with my business. This is definately a good problem to have, I'm not at all complaining, just letting you all know, yeah all 5 of you that read my blog. LOL! Just kidding, more like 9! :)

But I guarantee once I do have more time, you will be coming to this blog everyday! Why you ask? Because you will be getting a taste of what it is like to be a Hawaiian Internet Entrepreneur.

I will share with you my thoughts of, business, Hawaii, eBay, and personal life stuff. Perhaps even give away some of my, tips and tricks to making money. Think of it as CNBC, mixed with MTV, and the Travel Channel. Can it get any better? You will have to tune in too see.
