The complex housing site is underlain by a backfilled canal which was formerly a branch of the Grand Union leading into the barracks.The presence of organic material rendered the site unsuitable for vibro techniques yet Redrow stil wanted a displacement solution. Pre cast piles, driven into the underlying stiff clays, were the right solution to avoid spoil removal despite the main London to Glasgow rail line being only 15-20m away.

Working in Joint Venture with Bauer secant walling is being installed as part of the completely rebuilt Tottenham Court Road tube station.

This is in preparation for the major interchange with Crossrail. Works have been underway in front of Centre Point for some 9 months and now this work can be seen by way of a time lapse video. This highly complex project in which "D" shaped piles together with plunged columns are being formed has been widely reported in the press but is now made to look very simple in Transport for London's video!

By employing a one stop approach two Keller companies and Geofirma working together gave ASDA a flying start on their new store in Cheltenham.

The former Dowty works on the west side of Cheltenham is the site of a major new store being built by Isg Pearce.The site was previously remediated after closure of the Dowty works and consisted of a veneer of soft reworked clays underlain by stiff Lias Clays.With works due to commence in February Keller were asked to look at solutions for the store foundations.

Keller’s piling and Ground Improvement techniques have been used on some of the country’s major sporting venues and leisure centres. At the main athletics stadium in Stratford Driven Cast In Situ Piling was a winning solution which overcame the twin problems of obstructions and the risk of downward migration of leachate. At the nearby basketball centre a vibro solution was ideal for a demountable structure which in turn avoided piles having to be broken out during the legacy phase.
