Phi Group have been awarded the contract for a Permacrib retaining wall at new Tesco Store in Drayton, Norfolk

R G Carter Projects Ltd have awarded the contract to Phi Group for the Design, Supply & Installation of it's Permacrib Timber Crib Retaining Wall system at a new Tesco store at Drayton, Norfolk. The site is just down the road from their Head Office and work are due to commence next month. Keep checking back for updates.

Phi Group have commenced on site at a Sainsburys Distribution Centre in Exeter

Working for Buckingham Group Contracting Limited, Phi Group are currently on site at Project Dixie, close to Exeter Airport. The Sainsburys Distribution Centre is split into two levels with a large Permacrib Timber Crib retaining wall supporting the car park at the upper level. With retained heights of up to 6.25m, temporary earth works and model size were both an issue. Through continued discussion with the contractor, Phi Group were able to offer the most cost effective and buildable solution.

Iain Goodridge, Operations Manager for Southern Region celebrated 20 years of service in April this year. Derek Mulenga, Senior Estimator, was not far behind, celebrating his 20 years in May. They have both been with Phi Group since the start and have seen the company continue to go from strength to strength during their time.read more

Dynamic Compaction and Driven Cast In Situ Piling comes to a New Morrisons in Devon

On a former landfill site which infills a valley on the outskirts of Teignmouth Keller are busy treating the car park before the imminent arrival of Driven Cast In Situ (DCIS) piling plant. The valley is infilled by between 3m and 15m of loose and locally organic landfill which,without treatment, would have otherwise caused undue settlement beneath the car park. Extreme care had to be taken due the presence of a nearby sports centre and nursery and jointly with ISG Pearce controls were put in place to monitor vibrations and prevent flying debris.

Project Cactus, Tesco Distribution Centre, Reading

Phi Group are currently on site providing the complete Design, Supply & Installation package for Vinci Construction on a new Tesco Distribution Centre just off the M4 in Reading.
Phi Group are using their Permacrib BBA Certified timber crib retaining solution to reatain the site boundary that runs adjacent to the M4. There will be two Permacrib walls constructed, with a total length of 300m and a face area of 870m2.read more
