GOD SEES YOUR PAIN

There is not one tear shed that He doesn’t see.

Not one hurt or pain that doesn’t go unnoticed.

Not one violent act that hasn’t been recorded.

God Himself says that He will wipe away every tear.

He will not send someone to wipe your tears

… He will wipe away every tear Himself.

He says that there will be no more mourning, no more sorrow and no more pain. He says He will make everything brand new. God is devastated by the abuse done to you. He is not only devastated by it, but feels the pain you’ve felt.

There is a Greek word, “splagchnizomai” that is used in conjunction with the compassion of Jesus. Whenever Jesus was going to heal someone, this word is used.

The best way to describe this word would be Jesus actually enters into the pain someone is suffering. His love is so deep that He actually experiences the same identical pain or emotion we feel.

He was so deeply moved with compassion that their pain is His pain, and through that deep level of compassion He is able to heal.

This is what Jesus is doing with you this very moment. As He sees your tears and witnesses the abuse done to you – it is equivalent to the abuser abusing Jesus. He feels your pain fully, and He is devastated by it.

No one can ever really understand the pain we feel, even someone who has endured the same abuse – but the Almighty God does. He sees your hurts, your pain, the sorrow and He says, He is coming and He will take it away.

Did you ever cry out to God begging, pleading, wishing He’d help, intervene? Have you ever cried out to Him saying “Where are you God? Why are you allowing this? Don’t you see what is happening? They are hurting me and my children, they are destroying me and I see no way out, I am all alone and there is no one to help me.”

I felt God didn’t hear me. I felt very alone. But God does see the pain and abuse and loneliness we feel; and He promises that by no means will He let the guilty go unpunished. There is no wrong done by an unrepentant sinner that will be erased.

Everyone who has wronged you will be held accountable for all that has been done to you.

This promise book has been created to introduce you to my God, the God of Justice and the God of Protection. As a former victim of monstrous domestic violence, I never believed God protected me.

I knew His word, I knew that He protects – just not me. It seemed like justice was on the side of my abusers, they “won” in court; they were not held accountable for the severe abuse suffered, for the crime they committed, and for the years of pain my children and I suffered even long after we left him.

I looked at all my horrible past and asked God, “If you loved me then why did they win and get by with it?” But what I discovered was that God will judge all people according to what they have done.

Regardless of the circumstances, regardless of the pressure, regardless of the delays, don't let the devil stop your progress.

You know God has spoken to you, His word has resounded in your mind over and over. You dream about it, you think about it, you long for it... but every time you try to move forward something thwarts your progress.

That thwarting is the devil. The devil knows if he lets up on you, you will do powerful things for the Kingdom of God.

1 Thessalonians 2:18 is a powerful reminder of Satan stopping Paul from visiting the Thessalonians. It says, Yes, we wanted to come to you. I, Paul, tried more than once to come, but Satan stopped us (ESV).
Do you feel you are unable to make progress on your plans? Did you know that Satan will do whatever it takes to stop you from moving forward?

But, as Paul, we need to continue to fight through without giving up. What amazes me about Paul is he doesn't whine and cry or gives up, he presses through. He doesn't resign himself to defeat, he looks for another way to succeed.

When God gives us a dream, He gives us everything we need to succeed - even when it doesn't look like we will succeed.

Like Paul, let's decide to not give up, let's choose to be determined to move forward every day.
The Word tells us to walk by faith not by site. It's not easy. Not easy at all. When we see our life spiraling down, our money running out, not having a job, marriage failing, kids making poor choices, it's hard to stay focused on the dream.

That is why we say to the devil: NO! You will not win, I AM more than a conquer. I may not see God's plan but I am digging my heels and I WILL NOT give up!

If the devil is blocking you from moving forward, ask the Holy Spirit to show you another route! He not only wants you to get you where you need to go but He wants you to succeed more than you do!
Don't give up, you're worth it!

Lord Jesus, I am praying to you for peace of mind, healing of my thoughts, and hope for my future. Lord, come now; give me strength for this day. Give me strength to say no to the devil and yes to you. Show me how to be more than a conquer as Your word say. Show me how to serve and love you as I should. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Winning the Battle of the Mind: Overcoming the Defeating Thoughts Once and for All

Are you ready to win the battle in your mind? Do you think winning the battle in the mind is impossible? Did you know that just saying "No" out loud can break the troubling thoughts once and for all? Before you begin to understand how to have power over your situations with the "Power of No" statements, take some time to ask yourself these questions:

What are some of the issues you are facing now?
How have you been handling them?
Has it worked?
Are you ready to try something different?
Are you willing to invest in yourself?
Are you willing to try this concept out for one week?

You Have Been Given the Power to Make Choices

Every minute of the day is full of choices? We choose what we eat, we choose what to do, and we choose what to think. We actually choose to think or dwell on a thought. Whether you choose to think about the thought or choose to stop the thought, it is still a choice. We have a choice to whether the thought will stay in our mind or not.

If we allow the thoughts to continually roll around in our mind and the longer we think about them, the bigger they get.

Winning the battle in the mind is easier than you think.

For example, some time ago I was at the mall and I saw a dear friend. I yelled across the way to get her attention, I called her by name and waved profusely. Many people were staring at me so I know, or at least thought I knew, she had to of seen me. It looked like she looked right at me, but she turned away. That bothered me all day.

I thought about it, talked to a few of my friends about it and even woke up in the middle of the night thinking about it. As days progressed, I started thinking, boy what did I do wrong? The longer I thought about it the madder I got. It ended up being such a mess in my mind, I became furious about it.

Finally, I went up to her (mad of course) and asked her what I did wrong. She looked baffled. I ignored her innocence because of an entire scenario I created in my mind.

To make a long story short, she was at the mall that day with the optometrist. He took her glasses to fix them, she couldn't see me and she has some hearing impairment. Sadly, I spent over a week mulling around a progressive thought that was very far from the truth.

If I would have given her the benefit of the doubt, thought the best of her, and called her that evening to see if everything was okay, I wouldn't have lost an entire week thinking the worst about her!

Every day, we have this war going on in our mind, thoughts can bring defeat, depression, sadness, and anger or we can use the "Power of No" technique and our thoughts will give us joy, peace, contentment, and hope.

What are some of the negative thoughts or reactions and emotions that bring you down?

Here are a few to get you thinking: anger, depression, poor choices, isolation, giving up, hopelessness, defeat, fear, stress, not doing what you need to do, procrastinate,

What is the ultimate outcome of these? We hurt ourselves with guilt, shame and remorse. We hurt our family, our friends and our self. We deserve to live better than that.

The bible says life and death are in the power of the tongue. Whatever we say will either bring life or death to a situation. Therefore we need to stand on the word of God, stand on His promises and speak those out rather than our feelings or the circumstances we are facing.

As believers, God has given us authority to overthrow the plans of the enemy. But we have to know how to use it. There is a difference of having authority and using authority. Winning the battle in the mind is understanding the power and authority God has given you.

Take a look at: Luke 10:19: And I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. And nothing by any means will injure you.

He has given you authority. But it is up to us to use it and choose to believe the word of God MORE THAN our feelings and circumstances.

So, since God has given us authority over the plans of the devil, how do you walk in the authority?

We need to speak the God's word rather than speaking about our circumstances - Just like Jesus did in Matthew 4:1-11. Please take a moment and look it up and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you, encourage you and empower you with power to walk in the authority God has given you.

We need to speak the word instead of saying what we think or feel.

We need to say I will never give up, God is on my side, He loves me and He is helping me.

1 Peter 5:10b says Christ Jesus Himself will complete and make you what you ought to be, established and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you. Winning the battle in the mind is as easy as speaking these statements out when you are having a bombardment of thoughts in your mind.

When you feel defeated, you say, "No, it is written: I am more than a conquer."
When you are depressed, you say, "No, Satan you come only to steal, kill and destroy, But Jesus came that I might have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance to the full until it overflows."
When you are down, you say, "No, Jesus is the Lifter of my Soul."
When you are feeling guilty, you say, "No, because no there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
When you are hurting you say, "No, Jesus has come to heal my broken heart and bind up my wounds."
When you feel stupid, you say, "No I have the mind of Christ."
When you are sick, you say, "No by His stripes I am healed."

God has given us His Word to defeat anything and everything. His mighty power is in us to conquer these troubling thoughts.

You no longer have to suffer with bouts of depression, sadness, overwhelming circumstances anymore because the word of God heals, uplifts, and changes our negative thoughts once and for all.

My Favorite Scriptures from Genesis

These are scriptures that have given me comfort over the years. They give me hope and show me how much God loves me and how he will not let the abuser get by with any abuse.

Genesis 4:6-10: Then the Lord said to Cain, why are you angry? If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door, and it’s desire is for you, but you must master it… And He Said, “the voice of your brother’s blood is crying out to Me from the ground.

Genesis 15:1: Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you. Your reward will be very great.

Genesis 21:17-18: And God heard the lad crying; and the angle of God called to Hagar from heaven, … Do not fear, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.

Genesis 21:22: God is with you in all that you do.

Genesis 41:52: God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.
