Well everybody it's that time of the year again, the dreaded exam time. This is the time where students have a bitter-sweet taste in their mouths, because on one hand we are almost out for the summer and on the other hand we have these "cumulative exams".I hope everyone does a great job on all of their exams and achieve those grades they have been working so hard for all semester. This is also the time when we bid farewell to all of our graduating seniors, and I pray that everyone succeeds in their professional careers.
One good thing for me to look forward to is that I will be studying abroad this summer in Germany with the USCA school of Nursing. I am really excited and will be leaving in about two weeks. Well, I hope everyone has a great summer, and I will see you next semester, so until then everyone stay safe and stay out of trouble.

Ladies and Gentlemen...Boys and Girls...Children of ALL of Ages...the end of the semester is about a month away and I CAN NOT wait. Everything is beginning to speed up because the semester is almost over, so that means getting these last few test out of the way, completing these last minute projects, writing these papers, and getting ready for these dreadful exams. Everyone seems to be on edge just a little bit more around this time of year because it means that we are about to get a 4 month break (some of us anyway) from the worries of school. However I fall into the catergory of students that dont get the entire 4 month break, because I will be taking a few summer school classes during Maymester and Summer I. But it won't be all bad, because one of those classes is a study abroad program where I will be leaving to go to the beautiful country of Germany for 2 weeks, and this is something that I am really looking forward to. We will be experiencing many of the things that make Germany so unique such as visiting cities such as Munich and Sternberg. We will also have the chance to visit a few tourist attractions such as castles and the concentration camps that Adolf Hitler used during his time in Germany. Hopefully I will have a great time and I will try to take plenty of pictures and post them on my blogs...so until next time everyone be safe and stay out of trouble.

Ladies and Gentlemen, how have you been? Its been a long time since I have talked to you guys but I am happy to be able to communicate with you once again. Things have been moving pretty fast within the last 4 weeks for me. I have been doing a lot of studying and have been transitioning into a new job as a Mental Health Technician at Aiken Regional Hospitals psychiatric facility (Aurora Pavilion). I decided to take on this new venture for a couple of different reasons; the first of which being that this job helps to indulge myself further into my major, and to allow me to activily apply what I have been learning in the classroom to what I will be doing upon graduation. Another reason that I accepted this position is because we are in a struggling economy and this job simply pays more (LOL). But all in all everything has been going very well for me, and as a matter of fact I am in the middle of studying for a test right now. Remember leave me you comments because I love reading them and knowing what you guys and girls have to say. So, until next time yall be safe and stay out trouble.

Hey everybody, what's been going on? I first want to extend to you an apology for my absence over the past few months, and though I can not use school and work as an excuse that mostly all I have had time for. So I want to make this promise that I will TRY to blog at least twice a month so that I can stay in touch with everyone. But now that classes are over and I am done for the semester I am able to relax and just chill with my family. I have taken a few days off of work and now I am able to just live trouble free. As far as the semester went I am proud to let everyone know that I am continuing my collegiate career in nursing and I earned two B's and a B+ on my last grade report. Im proud of my grades but I also know there is always room for improvement. But I really dont have that much to report right now but I just want everyone to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and safe New Years. Until next time, say out of trouble and I'll catch up with you next time.

Hey everybody, and thanks for tuning in for the next installment of Ken's life, Im just playin but it is good to be back and Im glad to know that everyone is doing well. But its good to be back in good 'ol South Carolina after a long fall break in New Orleans, LA. This past fall break a campus organization called IMPACT took a group of about 50 USCA students to New Orleans to assist in the rebuilding of the city. We partnered with Habitat for Humanity to help build houses for the families that suffered in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and I must say that building a house was a lot tougher than I thought it would be. Not only did we have to build the house for the homeowners, but we also had to ensure that the house were "hurricane proof." This took a lot of work and was a very tedious task. Building the houses was not always all work and no play, yet I found it interesting to operate the tools that construcion workers use; such as skill saws, nail guns, etc. My particular group also found enough time during our break to build a "slip and slide" so we could relax and cool down from the heat. We had a great time building the new residences and I enjoyed everyone that went.

Students also had the oppurtunity to take a tour of the most affected areas of New Orleans, including the Lower Ninth Ward where the levies actually failed. We all noticed that there was some improvement in the area, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done and there are still a good number of families who are still without a place to call home. While touring this particular area of New Orleans, I dont believe there wasnt a single heart that was not touched by how much devestation swept throught the city and how much work still needs to be done. This was actually my second time visiting the city, I first went my Sophomore year, approximately 14 months after the historic hurricane, and even then my heart bleed for the individuals and families who lost their homes and lives in the wake of Katrina. I encourage everyone to look within yourself and find the time to donate your time or money to help the individuals who are still suffering. But, leaving you with that thought, I have to get ready to go because I have a little studying to do, but until next time everyone be safe and stay out of trouble.

Hey everybody, and thanks for tuning in to the next installment of Ken's life...lol, but I hoping everyone has had a safe and productive last couple of weeks and that everything is going well. As for me, everything is going great, I have been making some good grades in all of my nursing classes and I am really having fun in all of my clinicals. Though this semester is already starting to get a little tough, I am having a lot fun learning some new and different things. Before my Maternity clinicals actually started I thought that I would not get as many exciting experiences as my female classmates, because some when are a little apprehensive when they have a male nurse, but I am happy to report that I have been learning a lot and having fun in the process. I have gotten to see some cool surgeries and have even given a few injections here and there. My Adult Health clinicals are fun too, but it can sometimes be depressing to see your patient on bedrest and he or she requires total care (Bathing, feeding, cleaning stools, etc.) but I have been learning a lot there as well.

Though I love being in Aiken (I REALLY DO) I feel like I need a break. I want to go home and chill with my family, and see my little brother play football (#23 best Corner in SC) one friday night, but I also know I have got a lot of work to do and my family knows that I am taken care of. But thats all I have for now everybody, so until next time ya'll stay safe and stay out trouble.

Well folks, we are back at it again and school is in full swing. The returning students are coming back to changed USCA with renovation of our SAC (Student Activities Center) and the freshmen are the first to live in our new residential building Pacer Crossings. The SAC has many new things that help to enhance our college experience and with the expansion of our campus bookstore, the students are able to take advantage of an aray of different items. So I guess many of you would like to know how im doing in the nursing school, well everything is coming along great. I am taking two clinical classes this semester, Maternity and Med Surge I, which require me to travel to University Hospital and the Medical College of Georgia, both located in Augusta, GA. These classes are great and help to give me experience in the field of nursing.

Hopefully this semester will bring about alot of new and different oppurtunities, not only with the University and with classes in general, but with my fraternity and all of the many other organizations that I am involved in. Well folks thats all I have time for today...because of course I have to go study, but until next time, yall stay safe and stay out of trouble.

Well Diary Readers its that time of the year again that EVERY college student looks forward to is SPRING BREAK. Its time for that much needed break after those dreaded midterms, a time to get away from those professors, and a chance to get away from those crazy roommates (sorry Jamie, TJ, and RIco). Most students will be going out and doing some extravagant things, but as for me I will be going home for a while and relaxing with my family, because I havent had a chance to do that in a long time. Im going to catch up on a little sleep, and just let all my stress be relieved. But even though I get a week off, I still have to look forward to a test and two papers that are due once I get back. So as I have asked of you before, just continue to pray for me so I can make it through another semester.

As far as school is concerned, everything is going extremely well. Im doing great in all of my classes and im continuing to grow as a student nurse. So hopefully U will be able to make the Dean's List this semester, and to keep my LIFE Scholarship for another year. But thats all I have for now people, so until next time yall be safe and stay out of trouble.

Well well well diary readers, it has been quite a while since i have last talked to you. I just want to say sorry, its not the fact that I was neglecting you, its just that I have been a little busy with school and work for the last couple of weeks. There has been some interesting things that have happened to me since the last time we met, so lets get down to it. Recently USCA had their first annual Dance Marathon, which is a partnership with MCG to raise money for the children there, and in the weeks leading up to this noble event there was a pageant entitled the Mr & Ms. Dance Marathon Pageant, and in an effort to raise more money for the children I entered the pageant....but there was a catch....the men had to dress like women and then women had to dress like men....lets just say to make a long story short, yours truly now holds the title of Ms. Dance Marathon (remember it was for the kids...lol).

Well to continue, I have another little surprise for you...I was in another pageant (a real one) put on by the lovely ladies of Phi Mu Fraternity entitled the Mr. USCA pageant...thats right you might have already guessed but yours truly is the current Mr. USCA 2008...applause, applause...lol. Thats just a little of whats going on with me, but as always its time for me to get back to this school work, and make these grades so until next time yall be safe and stay out of trouble.

So that means buying these expensive books and studying for these classes. However I am happy to be back in Aiken, so that I am able to see some of my friends and to get this Spring semester over with, because Im looking forward to the summer...lol. I am still working hard to keep up the good grades and to stay in the USCA nursing program, its getting hard, but its not impossible so I am asking everyone to continue to pray for me and everyone here at USCA as we go through another semester.

Along with a new semester and new classes, we also have more meetings and events that I have to help organize. My fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. will be sponsoring a Male Etiquette Seminar on January 31, 2007, and we will be having an interest meeting for contestants for our upcoming Miss Kappa Alpha Psi pageant. This is just a small portion of the events that we are helping to bring to campus this year, we also have events coming from Pacer Union Board and Aiken Unplugged, so please be on the look out for all of these events.

But I hope everyone has a happy semester, and be on the look out for my next blog entry, so until then people yall be safe and stay out of trouble. test

Im doing pretty well in 3 of my classes I just have one class that Im kind of worried about, but I know that through God all things are possible. Im just trying to study as much as can, and attempting to adapt some of things that I have learned in the classroom to everyday life so that I can get a better understanding of the material, but besides all of that everything is going great. Only one week stands between me and my much needed break. I plan to sit around and enjoy my family and be lazy for a couple of weeks, and I will not, and I repeat, I will not be thinking about school during this time...lol.

Hopefully I will be able to write back before Christmas so that I can wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, but in case I dont get a chance to do so, I would like to take this time to wish everyone a happy holidays, and to tell you to take advantage of the time with your family....kause I know I will. Hey everybody, its the day after Thanksgiving and I am stuffed, and I think I gained an extra 10 pounds, but its ok i guess I can stand to gain a couple of pounds...lol. Besides that I hope that everyone had a great break and enjoyed that time with their family and friends, I know I certainly did, It feels great just to be able to come home and relax and be able to talk to your family and have a good time with them. Sitting around the table laughing and joking with one another, and remembering some of the things my brothers and I used to do when we were younger. Its kind of fun to look back and remember much fun you used to have as a kid, and to look and see how you have grown into the person you are today.

It felt great to have my Mom, Dad, and two brothers with me for Thanksgiving, and I am thankful for having such a supportive family, and having a family that cares. But I really enjoyed my break so far, but I know when Monday hits, then classes start again and I have to get back to work, but I would love to hear how ya'lls break went...so shoot me a comment or hit me up with an email, but until next time ya'll be safe and stay out of trouble.

Greetings everyone...I would like to take this time to send a big kongratulations to the newest brothers of the Nu Nu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (Kent James, Marcus Billie, Myke Gibbs, Aaron Doctor, and Theo Oates). So if you see these boys walking across the yard tell them congratulations on making it into "Kappa Land."

I would also like to take this time to thank everyone for coming out to the PSI-lent Treatment, and supporting those oh so pretty boys of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and also showing support as we put on the whole production of Kappa Week. We have many more things plan with the addition of our new brothers, so everyone look out for bigger and better things, because as you know....no one can do like the NUPES can.

But in other news Thanksgiving Break is almost here, so that means I can finally get a break from all of this work, so I cango home and get some of that good home cooking. (um huh). So if I dont write back before the holiday gets here I would like to take this time to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and be sure to save me a plate...lol....until next everybody, yall be safe and stay out of trouble.

Ladies and Gentlemen, how is everybody doing? Ive been a little busy lately dealing with this Nursing School and trying to get everything together for this upcoming Kappa Week. My brothers and have a week full of events all of it leading up to our Main Event the "PSI-lent Treatment." We are asking that everyone come out and support us and get involved with all of the events that we have planned for this week. Last Monday I had my first flag football where i scored the first touchdown of the season (applause)....but after the game and for a couple of days afterwards I was pretty sore because Im really out of shape and them boys had me running from endzone to endzone.

Overall everything has been going great, and I am continuing to do great in all of my classes, just ready for thanksgiving break so i can go home and all of that good food my parents is going to cook. I can just imagine the chitterlings, turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoe pies.....i need stop before i chew throught this computer. But I really do need a much deserved break so that I can recooperate. I just ask that everyone continue to pray for me as the end of the semester draws closer, and I begin to complete my first semester in the Nursing Program here at USCA, but until next time kind people ya'll be safe and stay out of trouble....
