Healing took longer than I thought it would. And while I have been working my way back up, generally walking a mile a day, it’s nowhere near what I used to do because I would still get little–or bigger–pains while walking. A mile was my safe zone…until yesterday when I walked 2.1 miles in Texas. (Here with hubs while he works.)

I tell you what, it felt marvelous! The past few days I hadn’t been really having any of the random pains that I’d been having so I decided it was time to expand the walk. And the beauty of walking early in the morning (out of necessity in the middle of summer in Texas) is you get to see some pretty incredible sunrises. Loving it!

I brought a stash of supplies with me to Texas and was very much inspired to create a page about all this in my ‘anything goes’ journal. This is the first physical page I’ve made since before my surgery. So yesterday was a really big day for me and it felt great! :)

Hi there crafty friends! Jessica here today to share a sweet little layout featuring the new Captions and Summer Season stamps. My husband took this photograph of this sweet little Robin last fall and I knew it would pair so nicely with these beautiful stamps.

I used a label at the top to add my title, “Picture Perfect” from the Captions set. Then I added a subtitle from the Summer Season set. They paired so nicely together. I love stamping a title and subtitle in complementary colors like I did here. I had to add some generational stamping below my photo on the right side using the “Current Favorites” stamp from the Captions set. I wanted it to say, “Current Favorite”, so I just didn’t ink the “s” on favorites.

My days of having my daughter home with us full time are fading quite quickly and I guess that has made me wish for the early days a lot. Our summer days have been so chill this year that we haven’t really done any traveling so it was fun to make this reflective page on all of the good times we have had over the years in Lake Tahoe.

I knew I wanted the bold sun and summer stamp from the Summer Season set to be the focal point of one of my pages so once I had that element worked out and stamped I could figure out how much space I had left. Luckily I had room to make a grid around it to hold ten photos and picked some of my favorites from over the years.

I knew the Captions stamps would be great for a title so I figured out my spacing and sat down to write my story. I wasn’t sure how I wanted to decorate the spread, if at all but I did notice the topo map washi sitting on my desk so I ended up modifying my text block and shifting it so I had some room to lay down a strip of that. It was just enough accent while allowing the stamping to take center stage. I really loved the stamps this month!

Until then, we’ll still enjoy our summer nights, pool days, barbecues and all the things that summer brings. And with that, here’s some new stamps to help you capture those moments. We’ve got Captions, Summer Season, and a special limited rerelease of Thick+Thin and Better Together.

I just had this urge to have some big and lovely titles, with some subtitles and even some baby titles. :) Lots of different life-style subjects.

And finally we have Better Together (above) and Thick+Thin (below). This is a special one-time rerelease of these two rockin’ alphabets. Or rather, I guess technically it’s a total four alphabets. ;) But not only do you have three style choices within the one alphabet, but both sets work together as well which opens up a whole beautiful way to add words to your pages! After every book I take a screenshot of the cover so I can remember that I read and then finished it that day. I’ve seen lots of ways that people document these stories of stories using such photos, but I think this one from Jessica Upton wins them all. This is so darling!

I crafty friends! Jessica here to share with you a new to me project, that I’ve been having so much fun with. I started a daily journal in a B6 notebook and have been loving documenting everyday life in it.

For this particular day, I wanted to document that I listened to an audiobook. I used Kerri’s new A Normal Day to add some sentiments, which were perfect for my page along with the “Note” rectangle which made a nice border for my photo. I also used both the Greenery and Growing Wild sets to add some leafy bits. I really love how this little page turned out. xx, Jessica

Our routines have for sure slowed down here now that it is summer. The most active person in our house seems to be the dog right now. She’s obsessed with being outside and guarding her yard so when I saw the big bold title on the A Normal Day set I knew what story to tell.

Our days really are spent catering to this little ball of fluff. I had a good time adding in little accents from the At A Glance set. I particularly loved the little words on that set. Of course I had to add in the definition stamp because I love that little bit of hand drawn work on that one. Having just that little bit of whimsy keeps the layout from looking too austere.

I added my story inside which allowed me to play with a few more stamps. I really wanted to use one of the grids but I opted not to fill it with text, I filled it with deco instead and I think it looks great. It totally works as a landing spot for whatever you want to put in it.

With each new month comes brand new stamps…and even some surprise classic stamps on occasion. ;) The two new ones, At A Glance and A Normal Day, will both be staples in your documenting wardrobe. As for the classics? They are classics and fan faves for a reason. Therefore, we are doing a one-time rerelease of Jordan Upper, Jordan Lower and Jordan SM. There is a limited stock amount on these gems and so when they are gone, they are gone.

At A Glance is perfect for using as a base for layering and all sorts of things. And using it with Growing Wild is perfection!

A Normal Day has so many wonderful phrases for the everyday moments of your life. It, too, looks good with Growing Wild. ;)
