I just had a quick question. I’m kind of stuck; if the brain is so powerful and able to heal cancer and what not, then why do we need to take cleanses and such? I know that I’m not powerful enough to do that right now; however, in theory, isn’t that correct…?

I tried joining your email club, but I don’t get emails from you. I must have did something wrong. I also donated $100 to your cause. Raw milk sickened scores, even with oversight, report finds

Even under the best circumstances, unpasteurized milk can make people sick, a new report concludes.

In one of the biggest outbreaks of campylobacter bacteria seen nationally in recent years, raw milk from a Pennsylvania dairy farm sickened 148 people in four states in January 2012, according to the report. Most campylobacter outbreaks involve a dozen or fewer people.

The report, which details what happened during the outbreak, said the dairy that sold the milk had a permit for selling unpasteurized milk, and had passed all inspections. The farm was among the largest sellers of unpasteurized milk in the state.

The dairy also tested its own milk for E. coli bacteria more often than was required. The vast majority of the sick people drank the milk before its “best by” date.

The only deficiencies that investigators found were that a mechanical milk bottle capper was broken, so employees had capped the bottles by hand, and that the water used to clean equipment was cooler than recommended (110 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, instead of 160 to 170 degrees F).

But these issues were “minimal,” and this campylobacter outbreak demonstrates “the ongoing hazards of unpasteurized dairy products,” according to the report authors from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state health departments. The findings were detailed online April 26 in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases.

“Raw milk is riskier than most foods,” said Douglas Powell, a professor of food safety at Kansas State University. While certainly a larger number of people get sick yearly from eating tainted tomatoes or lettuce, there are many more consumers of those foods than consumers of raw milk, he said.

Bacteria commonly found in the digestive tracts of farm animals, including campylobacter and E. coli O157, can easily find their way into milk as it is pumped and bottled on a farm, Powell said.

“Fecal matter just ends up in the milk — it’s not like you can see it,” he said. “No inspectors can see it — this isn’t CSI, where the bacteria just magically line up.”

Nearly a third of those sickened in the outbreak were children, the report said. Children, along with pregnant women and people with compromised immune systems, are at high risk of complications from campylobacter infections.

Powell said he advises that raw milk not be given to children. “As adults, you’re free to choose,” he said. “But don’t give it to your kids.”

The people sickened in the outbreak ranged in age from 2 to 74, the report said. Typically, campylobacter infections cause diarrhea, abdominal pain and fever that last about a week, and most people get better on their own. In the outbreak, 10 people were hospitalized.

The dairy immediately suspended unpasteurized milk sales when it was informed of the outbreak.

The researchers recommended that state ofﬁcials consider more regulation of unpasteurized milk, such as monthly pathogen testing.

However, consumers can never be certain that unpasteurized milk is free of pathogens, even it is certified and from a dairy that seems to be functioning well, the report said.

“The only way to prevent unpasteurized milk–associated disease outbreaks is for consumers to refrain from consuming unpasteurized milk,” the researchers wrote in their report.

The number of dairies with permits to sell unpasteurized dairy products in Pennsylvania grew from 26 in 2002 to 153 in 2013, according to the report. The increase was driven by consumer demand and the higher prices that unpasteurized milk producers can get for their products, the report said.

Now, it has been like this all year and it’s starting to piss me off! Can’t you please get some tech-support guys or girls to take care of the problems. Especially the ladder as it is crucial.

I’ve Contributed to the fund twice last year and all was well. I’m happy and loving the books and cd’s. Now I want to start giving the books to friends and relatives.

Oh yeah, btw just thought I’d share what happened to me within a week after donating 150 $ I found a 1000 Danish Kroner bill in the back of my cab. Thats roughly the equivalent of the 150 $ I spent. Furthermore I had the distinct feeling that what I found was a direct response from the universe to my contribution!

I totally disagree with some points of this…………as a teacher and as a parent. My children were taught cursive towards the end of kindergarten and full on in grade 1. Now, they can not remember how to write in print at all and one of them is so mixed up that when he writes words they are a combination of both cursive and print letters all because he was pushed into writing cursive right after learning to write in print. Children need to learn to master one before the other and I believe that writing in print should come first then cursive which should not be taught until 3rd grade. However, I am willing to consider the idea of learning to write in cursive first then print………..has there been any proven research done on this that I could look into? This concept intrigues me.

I have hiatal hernia too/ Start with blend of carrot/clery/apple juice with whey protein try for one week. Then add cabbage juice to blend. Try gluten free bread, pasta, and lactaid milk. This worked for me until GERD caused erosion of my esophagus, then hernia repair was necessary.

I do not agree with your statement that Tofu is wreaking havoc on our body. I visited Mercola site and noticed that he is comparing fermented and non-fermented soy products, and concluding tofu is unhealthy because it belongs to the latter. As a person from Japan where soy products — fermented or non-fermented are consumed in daily basis, I do have empirical knowledge about this wonderful protein source. Indeed most soy bean-derived food source such as miso, shoyu, tempe, whatever are fermented but that does not discount tofu’s nutritional value as non-fat protein source, as opposed to animal source protein. In Japan soy beans are called “meat in the field” due to its protein content. I hesitate to say this but Mr Mercola is quite mislead on this. Tofu is made by boiling soy beans and mashed and mixed with a coagulant called “nigari”, a very simple process that does not require fermentation. I don’t see any fault in this process in terms of its effects upon human body. At least this is how tofu is traditionally made. Of course today genetically modified soy is so prevalent, I must wonder if manufacturing method of tofu is somehow different and more detrimental to human health here than in Japan or other Asian countries. At least I feel this GMO thing is what is giving bad name to good old tofu. Please remember many American foods are grossly contaminated with chemical additions and else for commercial gain of the manufacturers. I regret even tofu may not be safe here, but that is not tofu’s fault.

Showing the plan today somewhere in Ontario, the wife of the person that listened to Your Wish Is Your Command was sitting in her warm home with a coat on. As a result of the medication she has taken for years for her heart problem, she in turn developed a kidney problem, and is on dialysis now as a result of all these drugs. Mr. Trudeau, I would like to know if you can check out Dr. Gray’s weightloss program which seems to have very good long term results but I have not had the opportunity to ask for and/or review any actual patient files. I did however, watch his 10 min video and his system was very familiar with some of the protocols listed in your book. I did ask Dr. Gray about Dr. Simeons Protocol and he did state that his system was based on that protocol except that he was unable to use the hCG due to the FDA clampdown. He did state that his weightloss program was not as quick as Dr. Simeons (though still more rapid than anything else) and had a data sheet comparing his system with major national brands and like your book stated why the national brands (Jenny Craig, NutraSystem, etc) failed and his succeeded. He was very gracious in answering my questions and did not put down the hCG method or Dr. Simeons. I would feel better if you looked into his method and talked w/Dr. Gray and gave it your seal of approval or reasons why you don’t think it is good to follow. I used Stevia for over 10 years with NO problems. I started using Truvia 2 years ago, 2 packets daily because I was under the impression it was Stevia. I eat extremely clean, mostly organic. While using Truvia and no other change to my diet, I gained 10 pounds the first year and 25 pounds the second year – yes that’s 25 pounds in one year!!!! And that while eating kale and sprouts and organic! I have been baffled by the weight gain and nothing I have tried to lose weight – that always works for me – has worked. Furthermore my shape has become distorted. I have gained several inches in my hips, thighs and stomach. I have NEVER had a fat stomach or back fat in my life until Truvia. I thought the weight gain was my age (early 40′s) or stress related but I never made the connection to Truvia ’til I started researching Truvia side effects. I have also had severe insomnia for those two years as well as debilitating back and neck pain.

Today is only the first day I quit Truvia so I will get back to you with updates. I’m sure it affects people differently based on their biochemistry, but as for me, there is nothing True or Pure about Truvia. It appears to work along with cortisol to block fat burning hormones so basically I have been in constant fat-storing mode for two years.

Please warn your readers and listeners that Truvia is potentially toxic. I would bet there are many others out there who have gained a lot more weight than I have and not connected it to Truvia.

Dear Kevin,

Thank you for telling the truth. I am 44 years old with a 12-year history of complications from Multiple Sclerosis. I truly believe that the MS was caused by all the toxins I have voluntarily ingested most of my life. All my doctors keep prescribing pharmaceutical prescription drugs instead of treating the cause. No more- I am taking my life back! I hereby declare that I WILL reverse the MS and all the subcomplications by removing the toxins from my body to the best of my ability and improving my immune system through proper nutrition (naturally). In fact, for almost one month now, I already started what is viewed as a “radical” healthy living regimen by getting more sunlight and exercize, completely avoiding all/most refined and processed foods, eating as many greens and nutrient-dense (raw) foods, avoiding meat and dairy 99% (making sure to watch my B12 levels), carefully watching my calories (not to little, not too much), avoiding stress (& drama) as best as I can, and reasearching every day to learn more. I have already noticed a slight improvement in my health. Currently, I am studying about ionized and distilled water, looking into an air purifier, trying to figure out about the electro-magnetic field problem around me, and studying how I can combine raw-foodism with vegan-ism. It is a struggle to figure out what the best foods are for me that will provide me enough calories per day; but I will figure it out. I realize that I have A LOT more to learn in order to reverse the MS. But guess what? I want to live to 120 years old. I want to see, I want to walk more, I want NOT to have my brain experience trigeminal neuralgia, I want NOT to have neurogenic bladder, I want to breath without pain, and I want to feel energized and healthy 1000%. I have been lied to by the food and drug companies (as we all have been lied to) and I am ANGRY that “they” TRIED to kill me because of “their” greed. I have empirical evidence from years of labs and radiologies of the MS and the subcomplications. As my health improves, I will be certain to have these improvements medically documented as well. I have stopped all my prescribed medications of my own free will~knowing full well that it is the right thing to do for me. I get a weekly podcast and Kevin talks about daily radio shows but I cannot find or access them? I click on the ON AIR link on the home page which takes me to the streaming player but nothing?

Is there a certain time of day or are these shows recorded?

Thank you Kevin for validating our initial thoughts about body scanners. As of 1 December 2012, they have introduced body scanners to all Australian international airports. People will be selected at ‘random’ to go through them, and if you refuse to go through, you will be denied boarding for 24 hours. I still can’t work out why Australia has taken a ‘no opt-out’ policy, but it seems to have gone through without too much attention from the media…surprise surprise.

I am not American and I’ve never been in USA until now.
I do not claim to know what is going on in your country, so please forgive me if I misinterpret your situation.

I have been listening to your podcast and there is one thing that troubles me.
I find some of the information very useful and I thank you for that.

The thing I do not understand is this fight you have with your corrupt government. I care for you Kevin, you inspired me, but now I fear you are slipping into the dark side, and that you are beating yourself with your own mind.

You were saying once that: what we resist, persists. Governments are corrupt since the beginning of the world. Instead of fighting them, shouldn’t we educate them? Aren’t they people, like us?

Same thing goes for the elite society who lives out of our work, like parasites. How skilled can they be in using the Law of Attraction, if they keep a mentality of scarcity, of “not enough” for everybody?

I will go a little off topic, and I may sound naive to ask: why are we still not looking to expand our habitat in the Universe? Of curse, I don’t know how, but maybe a second world would be a promising step forward for Humanity.

I just moved to Prague from Houston,Tx. I know vaccines are very harmful especially to babies and children. This might seem like a stupid question. My daughter is almost 3 months old. I have to get my newborns vacccines done I like it or not. In Czech she gets her shots when she is 3 months old. She gets all the shots in 1 shot. Should I get the shots done in Germany because I’m almost sure they don’t put them all in 1 shot. Which one is not going to be so harmful?

10 Good question Anth. Consider this statement written about a great man who once walked this Earth “He came in love, and he lived in love, and he died for love that we might live and love forever.”

In Kevin’s request can be found more than a mere plea for mere earthly monetary support. He is asking for someone to be willing to pick up the banner and carry the standard high onward. Ahahaha. Man I started laughing when listening to the latter part of this podcast (had to open it up in my iPhone podcast app, as the last time I tried to Download the Kevin Tredeau Radio app from iTunes, it said it wasn’t available in the US—Though it is today, I see.)

Yes, Kevin, you inspired me and made me laugh telling us to get off our butts and get out of the house and start a business, work hard. I love a good daily dose of mentoring messaging like that. I was energized by all the jobs and busy and industrious work you spoke of in this podcast that you did as a youngster. It’s energizing to start trying to think in longer terms, and of putting away seed money, not to be touched, but re-invested and re-invested and set apart to grow, not to be spent. I loved hearing that and thinking of how I’ll begin to do this systematically, even starting off small, always putting away and setting aside a percentage.

Hi Kevin, I was just wondering if you are familiar with Sally Fallon’s work. She has a legal defense fund as well for small farmers. She is another resource my mother and I use for information about food. We love all of her recipes. I say this because her book, “Nourishing Traditions” looks at diets from other countries. Her work is based off of Dr Price’s work that you may or may not be familiar with. He looked at the teeth of people like the Irish, Swiss, Eskimos, Africans and more to conduct studies from them. The groups that became civilized had deformities in their teeth and the ones that at raw, canned, and other fermented foods had absolutely no health problems. On this show you mention that one person recommends one diet of another, I like to use Sally’s recipes because through her research she looks at the genetics and history of all civilizations and why one diet in Egypt for example may produce different results than if I ate it being that I grew up in the United States.

Just interesting to note! I know not one person is correct.

Wendy, I’m not a doctor & this is not to be interpreted as medical advise, and it’s just my opinion, I would do this…for heart health I’d look into taking daily Vitamin C (some people use I.V. Vitamin C therapy), CoQ10, daily Magnesium, Arginine, and Omega-3 fats. If there is normal to high blood pressure I would try eating a little raw garlic, or a turmeric pill daily, but if there is low blood pressure I wouldn’t do that. No fried foods. Avoid antibacterial soaps. If possible, try walking, whatever is comfortable & easy. Having company instead of being alone is good for the heart too. I believe oatmeal everyday lowers cholesterol, and I believe grapefruit lowers cholesterol as well. Too low cholesterol can also be bad, but she may need to lower hers. I’ve heard the IV vitamin C therapy can help clear the blockages, but I’m always weary of IV’s. Look for a natural doctor or an integrative doctor, they often have alternatives to big pharm drugs. I hope that helps some!

I read the amicus brief in the case and haven’t seen the original files, but one wonders about whether any issues were raised about “Seller’s Puff”, which is the right of a seller to use opinions, exaggerations, and testimonials to sell a product or service. There are a number of old cases affirming the legal use of seller’s puff to describe products.

It seems more than obvious that saying a diet program is “easy” would fall into the “Seller’s Puff” category because the word “easy” is never an objective measure of anything but is a subjective opinion of the seller.

That FTC employees disagree with the “easy” description should be sufficient to demonstrate that the word “easy” is a matter of opinion, not a statement of fact and what is easy for most citizens may not be so easy for fat federal officials. One might even classify the term “easy” as a testimonial by the author describing his personal experience, entirely lawful and permitted under the 1st Amendment.

The 8th Amendment prohibits excessive fines and penalties, so was that issue raised at any point in the proceedings? If all appeals have been exhausted, could a federal lawsuit be filed against the FTC to enjoin enforcement of the federal judgment because the fine is excessive?
