Hitting the horizon

2012-03-17T12:04:00.000-07:00

Ya know, sometimes we underestimate how beautiful our world really is. We think of it as this big, dark, scary place that we're all alone in. But the truth is, we're not. God's up there, watching us, and I know sometimes we get caught up in our own world and don't realize it, but he's there.

~Sorry no real message in this post, I kinda just decided to post in the moment :)

Temporary & Permanent hair color review :)

2011-11-17T15:36:00.000-08:00

Don't forget to vote on the polls to the left for our bloggers choice!!! :)

ok so i tried some temporary hair color today, i found this at the dollar tree, and thought i give you guys and interview on this!!

<<<< this is the color i used.

Pros: awesome color! easy application.

Cons: after color was dry, I found it to look a little chunky. I took my brush/comb and tried to brush it out,

but I realized that the color had tangled my hair.

so overall, yes I like the color, no I would not buy it again.

click read more to see the permanent hair color review! :)

Fushia Flash

This is a brand of hair color specifically for people with dark hair! <3 it!

Pros: Beautifullll color!!!!! for no bleach, lasts quite long. great instructions booklet. lightens hair.

Cons: costs a little bit more than splat hair color/other brands. not too many colors in this brand.

would I buy this again? one word: YES!!!

Now if you are going to use this on LIGHT HAIR, then just realize results with this color will turn light pink. Their red, will probably turn pink. So use with caution and experiment!!!

:) :) :)

music update/artist update

2011-05-05T15:11:00.000-07:00

hay ya'll in case you haven't noticed, katy perry and her song california girls.

i don't like this song, why? well let's explain with the lyrics. (not whole song lyrics)

Sippin' gin 'n' juice, -gin

Laying underneath the palm trees!
The boys, break their necks,
try'na creep a little sneak peek, -boys rying to sneak a peek at them...real nice(btw sarcasm

)

at us!

You could travel the world,
But nothin' comes close,
To the golden coast!
Once you party with u-us, -partying
you'll be fallin' in love!
Oh oh oh ohhhhhhh!

California girls, we're unforgettable,
Daisy dukes, bikinis on top! -bikinis inappropriate
Sunkissed skin,
So hot we'll melt your popsicle!
Oh oh oh ohhhhhhh!

California girls, we're undeniable,
Fine, fresh, fierce,
We got it on lock!
West coast represent, now put your hands up!
Oh oh oh ohhhhhhh!

Sex, on the beach, -this is the worst verse in the whole song, considering thier talking about sex, and she speaks it right out!
We don't mind sand in our stilettos!
We fre-e-eak in my Jeep,
Snoop Doggy Dogg on the stereo

thats not the whole song but whatev, it's enough to show you this song is not of christ.

im not saying secular music is bad, im just saying, a lot of it is.

become wowed!

2011-04-26T16:46:00.000-07:00

this is a video a friend of mine posted on her google buzz, and i just could not believe what i was hearing! this girl-one girl-decided she wanted to make a difference!

Listen to the words!

listen to her words i say! LISTEN!!!

lets just see where this post takes us...

2011-04-13T17:44:00.000-07:00

ok, im gonna post about the seven deadly sins.

never heard of them?

well then you better sit tight, cuz this is a long ride....

The seven deadly sins

Pride is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.

Envy is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation.

Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.

Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.

Anger is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.

Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.

Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work

now, i will pick this post up later, for i am very tired, and don't feel like typing much right now.

holes:book review

2011-04-09T12:28:00.000-07:00

ok, i thought it was time for a book review!

Holes

tis book is about:

stanley yelnats "steals" a pair of famous clyde livingstens shoes

he gets sent off to a camp for boys

who have gotten in trouble.

there, he digs holes all day from 4:30 in the morning to late at night.

why are they digging holes and what are they looking for?

read the book to find out!

what am i saying about this book?:this book is wonderful, and really keeps readers on edge.

just a random psot :)

2011-04-02T13:54:00.000-07:00

i have to go to church in a bit, so i can't chat long.

but, today i had ballet recital practice from 8:15-10:30, so i am extremely tired!

i've been reading some photography magazines,

and romance novels.

i haven't listened to any music recently, so i have no new videos :(

BUT! i do happen to have a random video of a budgie (kind of bird)

talking!

selena hit rock bottom...(in my opinion)

2011-03-18T17:41:00.000-07:00

NOTICE: just to let you all know, this post is all my opinion...

have you guys heard her song "Rock God"?

well, just to let you know, i don't approve!

why not?

well, heres the lyrics, just read in between the lines!

i let ya know when i see smthing wrong in da song! :)

Preacher man walked into the club and he said he said -i personally don't like how it's worded here, plus clubs aren't the best places in the world.

"Hey girl, can't you walk a mile and not stray?"
Father I'm torn and I'm selling my soul to the -selling her soul?
Rhythm, the beat and the bass cause I can't
Confess my rock and roll ways
Cause I'm so possessed with the music
The music he plays - the music HE plays

I can't stop my feet from dancin' to the sound of his drum
(Oh no) I fell in love with my rock god
I can't keep my hips from swayin' to his sweet melody
You see I fell in love my rock, rock god

Preacher man took my hand and looked in my eyes
He said "Hey girl, can't you live your life right?" -she's obviously not doing someting right, and in this song it's coming from the eyes of a christian.
"Father things aren't always so black and white -black and white? shes saying that to a preacher! (aren't preachers supposed to be respected?) our lives can still have a color even if we are christians!
Don't cast the first stone cause I'm not alone" -not alone, so she's probably with a boy based on the other lyrics
And its not like I'm hurting anyone (whoo)
But I can't confess my rock, my rock and roll ways

I can't stop my feet from dancin' to the sound of his drum
(Oh no) I fell in love with a rock god
I can't keep my hips from swayin' to his sweet melody
You see I fell in love my rock, rock god

I can't stop my feet from dancin' to the sound of his drum
(Oh no) I fell in love with my rock god

and im going to stop there.

if you couldn't figure out what the message was...

heres a hint: when she says music she dosen't really mean the kind of music

that you sing to.

i honestly don't care WHO wrote it, she still sang it. if she were a true christian, and/or a pure celebrity,

then she would of taken a stand against the song, cuz she still had the choice to sing it or not.

i am honestly not judging her, as it may appear.

i am simply stating, that as christians, we must moniter what we listen to, no matter who it's by, and who wrote it.
