<p><strong>Monday _ January 30,2012</strong></p>
<p>You may have recently received an email from Facebook indicating that an app running within your KIT Social community will require an upgrade to JavascriptSDK by February 1, 2012.</p>
<p>The following is an excerpt from Facebook&#8217;s recent alert e-mail;</p>
<p>We currently detect that your app is using the old JavaScript SDK (FeatureLoader.js). This library will no longer work for authentication on February 1st, 2012 since it does not support OAuth 2.0. In May, we announced that all apps on Facebook need to support OAuth 2.0 by October 1st, 2011. Please upgrade to the new JavaScript SDK by February 1st, 2012 to avoid any disruption of service to your app.</p>

<p>In order to ensure that your app will continue to work on Facebook after their upcoming update, there are some minor edits that need to be made to your KIT Social Community and Facebook Fan Page:</p>
<p>•    Our engineering team is planning some modifications to the KIT Social Platform that will accommodate this upgrade to JavascriptSDK. These modifications are scheduled to go live today (Monday, January 30th).  Please keep an eye on the notification section of our site in order to see when these changes have been made -<a href="http://www.kickapps.com/category/updates"> http://www.kickapps.com/category/updates</a>/<br />
•    We also require that affected customers make a few simple modifications to the GPT (Global Page Template) within your community.  A member of our team is available to assist you in making these changes: Please respond to this email directly for assistance.<br />

<p>3:30pm EST &#8211; 1/24/2012</p>
<p>A release is planned for the early morning hours on 1/25 to address some changes that Mozilla has made in Firefox version 9.0.</p>
<p>Specifically, these changes were recently impacting the ability for Webmasters/ Admins and Editors to categorize and/or re categorize media items from within the control panel.</p>
<p>This release will correct this concern.</p>

<p>In our continuing effort to improve our hosting platform we will be performing a migration of services over the next few weeks from our current infrastructure to an upgraded infrastructure.  In the first step of this process a network configuration change will be required that should have no impact to your applications.  This change is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 11/1/2011 between the times of 9pm and midnight EST.  After this change is made we will begin migrating applications one at a time. We will reach out to you with specific timing on the move of your application as we progress through the migrations.</p>
