KSB // HOW IT CAME ABOUT

About 2 months ago I sold my Mac Pro Tower (2008) and Macbook Pro (2008) in order to raise $3,000 dollars for a new computer. A friend convinced me to build a Hackintosh since he had done it before. After a month of research I learned enough about computers to give it a solid attempt. These links below help a lot and I based my build around the X9DAI Supermicro MoBo featured in these links //
1.) 128GB RAM and 16 cores / 32 threads X9DAI
2.) The Ultimate Xeon Hackintosh Server

It is an easy build. Thanks to tonymacx86.blogspot.com and my goth buddy. This was my first build of a pc ever. The only complication we had was that I installed a non-mac friendly firewire 800 PCI card. This PCI card actually kept the hack from working. When my friend saw it in there he pulled it out and it booted right up!!

I am still waiting for my 120 GB SSD to come in the mail but for now its running like a champ.
All in all its a really reliable computer and I know everything about it, inside and out!

“There are certain moments created by artists where it becomes apparent that they have completed a period and are ready to shift up a gear; challenging themselves, challenging audiences and challenging the body of work that they have already produced. Filmmaker Max Hattler produced in 2010 a piece called Spin. This Busby Berkeley-style dance routine played out by plastic toy soldiers seemed to instigate a slight change in working practice, and he presents his latest work, open now, at Tenderpixel. This new installation of three moving image works is entitled (appropriately enough) SHIFT. Commissioned between Animate Projects and Channel 4, the work is the latest in a series of co-productions between the two organisations, in a strand called Random Acts, bringing the work of film and video artists to terrestrial broadcast television. SHIFT is a very strong work. The three minute animation exhibits influences as disparate as modernist abstraction to industrialisation and German Expressionism. The effect is jarring, and in the Tenderpixel basement a fitting mausoleum for sci-fi exploits played out under factory-esque, conveyor-belt conditions. Hattler’s work has always been exuberant and anticipatory; SHIFT presents an abstract apocalypse, hearkening back to the fears of the modern age. It’s beautiful, and it’s scary, and it’s utterly engrossing.”

“Welcome little one! We shall call you SHE” is what we felt like saying after giving birth to the OFFF Barcelona 2012 Main Titles. It has literally been like going through labour, albeit a labour of love. We feel very excited and extremely privileged to be able to present this project. Brosmind created an incredible double-feature comic and plastic masks with the face of the characters that were handed out at the festival. The two projects are intimately connected and bear witness of a great collaborative effort. Big hugs Bros!

We were asked to do the TV spot and posters for MTVs new, much anticipated, mobile app MTV Under The Thumb. After teaming up with the creative guys at MTV we had this crazy script in our hands. The main idea was to make you the star of some iconic MTV shows for a brief moment. Ambitions were high considering the tight deadline. That didn’t stop us! We went to Brazil over New Year’s, had some long days of shooting with help from the fantastic team at Santa, flew back home and stitched it all together over some hectic days (and nights). The Swedish toy manufacturer BRIO once again asked us to help promote their toys. This time the product line-up was a bit more tech-oriented and we wanted to use this technical aspect to both inspire and entertain.
So we took the best bits from Hollywood and put together a high speed chase, mid-air slow motion effects and some spaceships, and mashed it with the colorful, playful nature of the wooden toys. Hope you like it!”
