Bjork – Mutual Core

I’ve always been a big fan of Bjork, her videos and her music.
She’s back with a new video called “Mutual Core”
The video was directed by Andrew Thomas Huang who also directed a video called “Solipsist” last year

I think this is one of the most creative videos i’ve seen in a while and i really like what they did with colours and animation here. Enjoy!.

Life in a day – Film

Life in a day was a project by Ridley Scott back in 2010.
They asked millions of people to record a little video on the 24 july,2010.
They received 4500 hours of video from 192 countries.
The film shows how was life on july 24 2010 a bit like a time capsule to show what it was like to live in that day.
It was made in collaboration with LG and Youtube and now it’s available for free.
It’s full of beautiful images from everywhere and all kinds of messages from people all over the world.

I know this came out a while ago but i still think it’s worth watching.

Cupidon – Animation

Simon Bau, Clementine Choplain, Marie Ecarlat, Benoit Huguet and Julien Soulage directed this cute animated short film named “Cupidon” while finishing their studies at the ESMA Montpellier school in 2012.

The film shows the story of a bored cupid with a mission, but something goes wrong!

The original soundtrack is really good and it was made by Damien Deshayes.
They really made a great job with backgrounds and characters on this animation, i really like this!

Curiosity killed the cat

As most of you know the curiosity rover landed in mars a couple of months ago. Rok Predin made this cute little video to celebrate that and i really liked it!

Paris in motion – Mayeul Akpovi

Paris is one of my favorites cities in the world and Mayeul Akpovi, a talented photographer, made this beautiful timelapse video showing the beauty of the monuments in Paris and the amazing fireworks in the Eiffel tower.

She’s electric – Santiago & Mauricio

Santiago & Mauricio are some amazing mexican directors living in New York that work with some great brands (dior, vogue, covergirl, juicy couture, etc)

They made few days ago a video for Nowness called “She’s electric” where they feature canadian model Alana Zimmer.
The inspiration to create this retro style came from things they knew back in the 80’s, atari video games, japanese animation and more.

Perrier – The drop

I was watching the tv when i saw this ad in french television and i decided to share it with you all.
It’s the new campaign for Perrier, a very famous french brand of sparkling water and it’s called “the drop”.

The ad shows us a world where everything is melting and a heroine is sent to the sun with a bottle of perrier to save the world.

Perrier made some great ads in the past, this one is really nicely done too.
The agency behind this is Ogilvy France and i have to say i like how the story is told.
Images are beautiful, the ship, the costumes, the music are good.
This is surely one of the most beautiful ads i’ve seen in a while in french tv… well enough said, just watch it :)

The girl and the fox

Base 14 made this cute short film called “The girl and the fox”.
Directed by Tyler J. Kupferer, this short film tells the story of a little girl Ilona who goes in the woods tracking a fox after the discovering of the bodies of several dead animals in her farm.

This beautifully animated film has already been featured at some festivals and won some of them : Student Academy Awards (Nominee Animation), Annie Awards (Nominee Best Short Subject), ASIFA-East Awards (Excellence in Design), College Television Awards (2nd Place Animation, Geena Davis Award for Focus on Gender Equality), Palm Springs International ShortFest (Official Selection), etc
