Amon Amarth have shared an official video for their new single “Upphaf.” A press release shared more insight into the acoustic track:

Reimagined for the gathering space of a longhouse hearth, the song features hypnotic melodies and mesmerising quires. Accept have recruited Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Matthias Jabs (Scorpions), Rex Brown (Pantera), and Jason Bowld (Bullet For My Valentine) for a new version of “Balls To The Wall.” The single will appear on Accept’s 50th anniversary album, “Teutonic Titans 1976–2026,” which will be available on September 4. Wolf Hoffmann said the following:

“Rob is the Metal God. I don’t need to say any more about him. Once we knew that he would do it, it was an obvious choice to give him ‘Balls to the Wall’ because it’s the best fit imaginable! I played all the rhythm guitars. Matthias Jabs from Scorpions played the solo, which is very cool and a huge honor, and it’s Rex Brown on bass and Jason Bowld on drums. So that’s a really cool package.”

Abigail Williams have entered the studio to track their new album. The group said the following about that:

“Recording has begun on our 7th full-length album. Drums are done, once again handled by Mike Heller, and the rest of the work is now underway at Ken’s home studio. We began before our European tour, which was a great success, and after a couple of weeks to recover, the work has resumed in earnest. Thanks to Fortress Fest UK and Zappenduster for having us, and to our support bands in Ireland and Shagor across mainland Europe. No shortcuts are being taken; the goal is to match the intensity of our last two albums, and push it further. Another update will follow once recording is complete and we move into mixing. Release is set for early next year.”

Chat Pile have shared an official video for their new song “PEN I S SMALL.” That track will appear on their new album, “Who Loves The Sun,” which will be out on September 4. Bassist Stin said the following:

“[It’s] the heaviest Chat Pile song to date. The song and title refer to a stretch of time when Raygun was working as a maintenance man at one of the local shopping malls here in OKC. He screamed himself into a pretty brutal headache tracking this one if I remember correctly”

DevilDriver have premiered a new video for their new single “Strike And Kill.” That song serves as the title track of the group's new album, “Strike And Kill,” which will be available on July 10. Frontman Dez Fafara commented:

Corrosion Of Conformity have shared an official video for their song “Baad Man.” That track is taken from the group's latest album “Good God / Baad Man.” Vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan commented:

Left To Die, the Death tribute band featuring Terry Butler (Obituary, ex-Death), Rick Rozz (ex-Death), Matt Harvey (Gruesome, Exhumed), and Gus Rios (Gruesome), are streaming a cover of Mantas’ “Legion Of Doom.” That track will appear on the group's new album, “Initium Mortis,” which will be available on July 17. Butler commented:

“‘Legion Of Doom‘ is heavy as hell. One of the best and earliest knuckle-dragging riffs out there. So heavy in fact, that Death brought the main riff brought back out of retirement for the song ‘Spiritual Healing!’”

Carl Severson has announced the return of Ferret Music. BORE and Wounded Touch have already signed to the resurrected label. Vinyl reissues from Remembering Never, Torn Apart, Old Wounds, and Racetraitor are planned as well.

‘I started Ferret as a way to be more a part of hardcore. My friends all had talent and were in a band (Endeavor, Ferret 01) and I wanted to do more than carry things to contribute to what they were doing. For the vast majority of its initial existence I worked with my friends, worked with bands we loved listening to and it was just honestly an adventure. From Cult Classic to Hot Damn! to A Great Artist to Versions and so on, the music that Carl, Rick and everyone else curated over the years became intertwined with our musical DNA. So to get to be a part of the Ferret family, let alone to get to be here for the revival is nothing short of the honor of a lifetime. Looking forward to this next chapter of our band and to get to do it Ferret Style.’

‘Any time someone has asked us ‘who would your ideal label be to sign to,’ we always would include Ferret to not only be smartasses, but out of legitimate sincerity as they were always the holy grail label of our youth. Most of our childhoods were shaped by the Ferret catalogue, so we’d have been championing this return out of sheer excitement regardless. But to instead get to be directly involved as boots on the ground for the return of Ferret and count ourselves among the pantheon of genre defining records released under that name is a validation that can’t be bought, traded or diminished. Founded by Carl Severson, vocalist of NORA, Ferret Music established itself as a key player in the underground metal and hardcore scenes early on, signing and releasing records by the likes of Converge, Disembodied, Killswitch Engage, ZAO, and Every Time I Die, to be followed by Poison the Well, In Flames, The Devil Wears Prada, and more. To mark a triumphant return, Ferret Music is launching a series of vinyl releases that revisit key titles from its catalog while beginning to fold in select releases from Good Fight Music, marking a broader evolution of the label’s catalog moving forward.

Among the first wave are two landmark Ferret Music titles, the first being Remembering Never’s ‘God Save Us,’ available on vinyl for the first time with its original artwork and an additional track, arriving in celebration of the album’s 20th anniversary and honoring the legacy of Peter ‘Mean Pete’ Kowalsky. It will be followed by Torn Apart’s ‘The Fifty-Ninth Session’ EP, originally only available on CD, newly remixed and remastered by guitarist Drew Lamond and pressed to vinyl for the first time as a one-sided 12 inch.

Also included are two releases originally issued via Good Fight Music, marking the beginning of select titles transitioning into the Ferret Music catalog.

Old Wounds’ ‘Suffering Spirit’ returns as a special anniversary pressing, bringing the long sold-out release back into circulation and reaffirming its place as one of the most vital releases in modern metallic hardcore, capturing the band’s evolution into a darker, more haunting sound. Rounding out the releases, Racetraitor’s ‘Creation and the Timeless Order of Things’ arrives with vocal additions from various figures across the scene (Dennis Lyxzén of Refused, Tim Kinsella of Joan of Arc/Cap’n Jazz, Stan Liszewaki of Terminal Nation, Sanket Lama of Chepang), as the band reemerges for a run of live dates this summer.”

Disfiguring The Goddess have shared an official video for their new song “Kiss The Dice.” That track will appear on their new album, “Bloom,” which will be available on July 31. Cameron “Big Chocolate” Argon said the following about the single:

“‘Kiss the Dice’ was actually the last song I wrote for the album, and it became a way to pull together a lot of the different directions and influences that shaped this record. Lyrically, it is about an all-nighter in Reno, Nevada, with a bit of Lady Luck woven into it.

On the surface, the song can feel confident and fun, but underneath that there is something sadder and more lost. It carries the feeling of knowing your truth while still being intoxicated by the sin-driven atmosphere of a city like Reno. Musically, it moves back and forth between gut-punching, pit-driven guitar sections and a simpler, more open chorus.

The drums stay bouncy and punchy throughout, and there is a subtle dance-oriented thread running through the song until the very end, where some of the buried melodic emotion finally comes to life through the synth arrangements.”

Distant have debuted a music video for “All Will Be (N)one” featuring Suffocation’s Ricky Myers. That track will appear on their new album, “Into Despair,” which will be available on November 6. The band said the following about the single:

“‘All Will Be (N)One‘ is a bleak, atmospheric track that explores humanity’s fear of death and the inevitability of time’s collapse. Blending crushing riffs with relentless rhythms, the song builds a sense of slow-burning dread before erupting into moments of raw confrontation. Lyrically, it shifts the perspective from resistance to acceptance. The feature from Ricky Myers of Suffocation adds an extra layer of intensity and authority, reinforcing the track’s central message: that everything fades, and all will be (n)one.”

“Driven by raw honesty and pure emotion, ‘Into Despair’ is an album born from personal battles and lived experiences. Kamelot have debuted a music video for “Ashen World” featuring Ignacia Fernández (Decessus). That track is from the group's new album, “Dark Asylum,” which will be out on August 28. Guitarist Thomas Youngblood commented:

“‘Ashen World’ captures that moment of standing at the crossroads between darkness and hope, where the journey forward begins. It’s classic Kamelot at its core, while opening new doors into the world of ‘Dark Asylum.’”

Singer Tommy Karevik added:
