Master Boot Record have shared a new track called “Plug And Play.” That track will appear on their new album, “Computer Metal,” which will be out on October 30. Vittorio D’Amore commented:

“Every Master Boot Record album ships with one melodic anthem. ‘Plug And Play’ is the purest build of that code: no drivers, no setup, it just runs and its melodies will stick in your memory. The video for ‘Plug and Play’ is not just a music video: it is the trailer of ‘No Trace Back,’ a racing game we are developing at Theta Division Games, the team behind VirtuaVerse. Elder0010 codes it in Unity, I write the music, and we shape the concept and game design together. It is a racer in pure vector graphics, in the line of the early arcade classics like ‘Star Hawk,’ ‘Tempest,’ and ‘Cosmic Chasm’: fast, high framerate, set in a virtual world where you compete for the prestige of your house. The free demo already runs on several mechanics, and the full version will go further, adding narrative and strategy elements and VR support. Computer metal has always come with code attached: crypto puzzles, ARGs, a whole server, a video game. This time the code is a racer. The demo is free at thetadivision.com.”

We Came As Romans have recruited Headwreck for an updated version of “where did you go?.” That take on the track is from their “ALL IS BEAUTIFUL… BECAUSE WE’RE DOOMED: CIRCULARITY” release, which will be out on November 6. Vocalist Dave Stephens said the following:

“We became friends with Headwreck while touring together in Australia, and we’ve been fans of their music for a while now. What we appreciate about them is their approach to making music and the sense of fun that comes through in everything they do. There’s a great personality to their sound and the way they carry themselves both on and off stage, which made them a perfect fit for ‘where did you go.’ We were excited to hear their take on the song and give them room to bring that part of themselves to it.”

Enter Shikari have officially released their “Live From The Golden Age” session. Vocalist Rou Reynolds said the following about that:

“In typical Enter Shikari fashion, we didn’t want to just do a standard ‘live in the studio session.’ So we broke into an abandoned manor in the middle of nowhere, and painstakingly placed digital screens over the windows in an attempt to present the tracks in different environments despite the limits of the space.”

breakkaway have shared an official video for their new song “I know.” The track, which features Softcult, will appear on the band's new EP, “It all feels the same from afar,” which will be out on November 13. Jessica Li commented on the single:

“Softcult is a band I’ve been listening to for a couple of years now, and when we finished ‘I know,’ I immediately thought of them and how the dreamy, ethereal quality of their voices would add so much to the song. When we heard them on the track, we felt that ‘I know’ had finally clicked into place. Their intricately arranged harmonies added so much texture and truly made the song feel like a layered dialogue between two people who were both feeling and suffering deeply, creating a much more complex dynamic than that of just one person hurting on their own.”

The band also commented on the EP:

“[The EP centers on the] grief of outgrowing things that once defined you while still yearning for them. It represents how, with enough time and distance, both the good and bad moments of coming of age come to be viewed with a certain detached romanticism."

Case Fadell added:

“It’s a love letter to the past few years of our lives. We’ve all changed so much since we started, and this EP reflects that evolution in a way that is singular to us and this time period. We pushed ourselves to create something greater than the sum of its parts, and I’m so proud of this body of work. We’re so happy to announce and soon share this with the world.”

“It all feels the same from afar” Track Listing:

01. “Portrait set on fire”
02. “Backseat”
03. “I know” (feat. Softcult)
04. “Montauk”
05. “Immortal”
06. “Run away with me”
07. “Older”

Extol are streaming a new track called “Merciless Hunger.” That song will be featured on their new album, “Aura Of Decay,” which will be available on November 6. Vocalist Peter Espevoll said the following:

“It is a warning against those who seek to usurp the beliefs of others, cloaking their hunger for power in a language of love, truth, and sacred justice.”

Motörhead have debuted a remixed version of their song “Built For Speed.” The updated track is taken from the 40th anniversary edition of “Orgasmatron,” which will be released on November 6.

Kingdom Of Giants have shared a visualizer for their new song “10 Cent Martyr.” That track is from their new album, “Usurper,” which will be out on November 13. Vocalist Dana Willax said the following:

“This track for us was a way to branch out from the classic metalcore style riffs and try something that feels fresh once you get deeper into the album. I got to experiment with a lot of vocal tones on this song and I really enjoy how big the contrast is between JT and I on this track.”

Satanic Planet, who are composed of Justin Pearson (Dead Cross, The Locust, etc.), Dave Lombardo (Dead Cross, ex-Slayer, etc.), Luke Henshaw (Planet B, etc.), and The Satanic Temple co-founder Lucien Greaves, have debuted an official video/short film for their new song “Antichrist.” That track will appear on the group's new album, “Dead Deities, ” which will be out on October 30.

Midnight are streaming “Violence On Violence” from their “Satanic Attack Live!” album. You can check that out below. The live effort, which was recorded during May 2026 shows at Knucklehead in Los Angeles, CA, will be out on November 6. Athenar said the following:

“No ‘unleashed in the studio’ or ‘unalive!’ here. All the popcorn tempos, forgotten lyrics, and shit notes are there for your taste buds to savor. I would love to hear what kind of live album Steely Dan would record while wearing masks, leather, spikes, bullets, and chains in a 1000degree smokey club full of rabid maniacs throwing beer on your wah-wah pedal, knocking microphones into your teeth, clawing at your crotch, headbanging into your headstock, and generally doing what they should be doing at a Midnight concert! I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Staind have shared an official video for their new single “Ghosts.” Guitarist Mike Mushok said the following about that:

“We went down to Nashville for a writing trip with Erik [Ron]. We had gotten together, and I came up with the riff on the spot. From there, Erik and I put the track together in just one day and finished it up. Aaron [Lewis] listened to it a little later and did this really great vocal over it. ‘Ghosts’ ended up being a very dynamic song.”

Frontman Aaron Lewis added:

“It seemed like everybody had gravitated towards ‘Ghosts.’ It’s a little different, and it surprised all of us. It’s got some heavy elements, but it’s certainly melodic too. It’s definitely Staind.”

A Perfect Circle have shared an official video for their single “Starless.” The footage was captured during the group's sold out London show back in June.

The Used's March 29 orchestral show at the Sydney Opera House is set to receive a theatrical release this month. The film, which is titled “A Mid Summer Night’s Symphony,” will be screening at the Landmark Nuart Theatre in Los Angeles, California on October 28. A Q&A is also planned.

The Interrupters have shared an official video for their new single “Warrior Spirit.” Vocalist Aimee Interrupter commented:

“Everyone is usually fighting some kind of battle that no one else can see but within each of us lies a warrior spirit that begs us to find our own fearlessness.”

Guitarist Kevin Bivona added:

“This was a super fun collaboration with so many musicians we admire. We created this song with Tim Armstrong, Jesse Michaels, Travis Barker, and Brett Gurewitz. It was a big dance party in the studio every time this track played. It’s got that ska upbeat but we’re also tipping our hat to our favorite early 80s new wave bands.”

Starkill have shared an official video for their new single “Death On Display.” That track will appear on the group's new album, “Hanging Up My Halo,” which will be out on January 22. Frontman Parker Jameson said the following:

“We actually pulled a Dethklok where we wrote an entire record, trashed it, and started over. It was one of those moments where we sat down, put our heads in our hands, and ultimately decided it wasn’t the right direction. With this new cycle, we wanted to take everything people expect from Starkill – the blisteringly fast dual-guitar work, symphonic arrangements, and impactful choruses – and strip away any clutter to hit harder than ever. October 9th is just the first taste setting the stage for January 22nd.”

Drummer Spencer Weidner added:

“There’s been a gap in the melodic death metal scene for years, and we’re back to plant our flag in it. We’ve been sitting on some of this material for the better part of a decade, writing and rewriting until every track can stand on its own. To that end, ‘Death On Display’ is absolutely brutal—I wanted to write something melodic and thrashy, but with the symphonic flare you’d find in an ‘Elden Ring’ or ‘Legend of Zelda’ boss fight. I think it’s safe to say we’ve walked away with something metal fans will seriously appreciate.”

Employed To Serve have recruited Andreas Bjulver (Cabal) for a new single titled “Absolute Onslaught.” Frontwoman Justine Jones said the following about that song:

“This track is a straight up rager, purely designed to get that circle pit moving on our upcoming run with Cabal. When we first discussed collaborating with our Danish friends, I knew immediately that this was the track we should get Andreas on, and he absolutely crushed it!”

Orbit Culture have recruited Tina Guo for a new take on “The Path I Walk.” You can find a video for that track below. The single appears on the newly released deluxe edition of “Death Above Life.” The band said the following:

“We’ve always been a bit uneasy about bringing someone else into our music, but Tina Guo was the exception. Ever since we saw her perform in Stockholm in 2017, we’d joked about working with her one day. When the label suggested a guest for ‘The Path I Walk,’ we threw her name out, fully expecting nothing to come of it. Then our A&R, Mike Gitter, simply said, ‘I know her.’

We initially worked out her parts in MIDI using her own sample library, but hearing her actual performance was something else entirely. The emotion she brought completely changed the song and took it further than we’d imagined.

What stayed with us just as much was how kind and down to earth she was throughout the whole process. For someone with her talent and experience, there was no ego at all. We’re incredibly proud to have her on this song, and grateful that an idea we’d joked about for years actually happened.”
