Hello and welcome Spring! Jaclyn and Tim wee married in April at the sweet Hargis wedding Chapel. This beautiful place is complete with a  lake, and beautiful grounds for a wedding. The Hargis museum was a perfect complement for a reception. Jaclyn and Tim met in the Chapel for their first look and then we proceeded outside for the perfect Bride/Groom session on the property. What a sweet couple and some beautiful photos. Soon after the bridal party joined in for some formals and funny photos. The masks were just the right touch! After their wedding, complete with music composed by Tim, we proceeded to the bell tower to ring the bell to signify marital bliss. What a great day for a great couple! Congrats and Best Wishes!

Hargis Wedding Chapel- Truly a hidden gem in the woods of central Alabama. Adam and I had the pleasure of working with Megan and Jordan in April. The weather was a perfect spring day. Megan looked radiant in her gown as she met Jordan for their first glance in the wedding chapel. We always know how sweet the first look can be when the groom tears up while seeing his beloved for the first time. What sweet memories. We proceeded outside to finish the mini bride/groom session by the lake. So many wonderful outside places to take photos! After their ceremony, the reception continued down the road at Camp Kanawahala . Perfect place overlooking the lake. After some fine dining  and dancing, the sweet couple made their sparkler getaway via Vintage Ford! What a treat ! Such a nice couple and best wishes to the Mr and Mrs.

Tannehill State Park is our new favorite place to shoot engagement photos! What a great suggestion Nicole gave for their sweet engagement session including two sweet puppies: Todd and Otis. Adam and I had a great time exploring new areas to shoot for this session. We started by Halls Grist Mill, which has some rustic areas as well as beautiful falls in the back ground. Then walked to Tapawingo Bridge and walked into the area where the trade days are held and played a bit in the creek.  A sweet afternoon of time well spent. Look forward to this couples June wedding!

It’s always a pleasure to photograph the local young ladies involved in scholarship programs. Adam and I had the great pleasure of meeting the contestants for this years Distinguished Young Women of St. Clair  County. Everyone was super sweet and they all deserve to be winners. Adam and I had the great pleasure of meeting Jessica and Kyle for their engagement session last fall. at the Kymulga Grist Mill. Now the Big day has come and gone and what a great remembrance. Even though the forecast predicted rain, these two did not let it rain on their parade. The facility at LincPoint really gives a neat atmosphere for a wedding. The classrooms showed a array of student artwork which added interesting backdrops to some photos. Jessica and Kyle had their first glance at the ceremony site of Linc Point. She looked radiant in her gown, the beading around the straps and front was the perfect touch. After their meeting, we ventured outside for some nice photos in the courtyard, where a few bushes were starting to show a few colorful buds. What a sweet couple! We enjoyed capturing some great memories! Congrats and best wishes!

It’s always exciting to explore something new and check out new places to shoot engagement sessions. When Chad suggested looking into the old buildings at Fort McClellan,  we knew that would be a great adventure. Once we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to see a variety of different places, from and old  elevated rail road track to rustic ruins of the old military base. The contamination of brick work to old windows, run down doors added the perfect combo for an urban shoot. Overall a beautiful day to have some photo sun with such a nice couple!

Wow! One of our most unique weddings to date! Laura and Jackson hoped that mother nature wouldn’t send rain, but they never expected SNOW. This couple is the bravest to date when it comes to fighting the weather for some photos. The Oaks in Centreville was a perfect location for this March wedding. Laura was definietly a princess on her wedding day. As she was getting ready in the bridal suite, she read a beautiful letter that Jackson had written for her. Yes it made everyone tear up. These two opted for a more traditional first look as Laura entered walked down the isle for the first time in the wedding chapel. After finishing photos in the chapel and on the property of The Oaks, their reception continued in the Colosseum and barn on the property, where they shared their first dance.  Best wishes and Congrats!!

2013 started  as great year for us as we found out that we were published in Alabama wedding magazine as a featured Real Wedding representing The Rosewood in Pinson. This wedding venue is always a wonderful place for weddings. The house itself is superb, but the best thing is that the Rosewood  will take care of all the details so that brides don’t need to worry about a thing!

Adam and I had the great pleasure of working with Nicole and Chris in February. Yes it was sunny, but a cold chilly day! These two were troopers along with their bridal party for outside photos as well as some inside shots. Love the converse shoes! Yes the groom himself was a superhero complete with socks to commemorate the day! They opted for a traditional look as Nicole walked down the isle and yes this was perfect for them, to see Chris’s emotion as she approached him!

We finished the photos and then proceeded to the reception in the Ballroom. After the reception festivities, we decided to have some sparkler fun and capture a few light painting photos- Yes writing Love backwards can be tricky, but worked out well the first time around! Nicole and Chris had their royal sparkler exit and left in style in their limo! Thanks for allowing us to capture some sweet photos!

Yes, it’s been a busy 2013 for us. While a cold March brought us small snow showers  to yesterday’s wedding, the end of January reminded me of how unpredictable the weather can be. What a beautiful day for Tammy and Andy. They were married a few weeks ago at St. Marks the Evangelistic Catholic Church. What a beautiful place! Tammy looked radiant in her gown as she met Andy for their first glance in the courtyard area of the church. The sanctuary itself is a very beautiful backdrop for formal photos. After their ceremony, the Parish Hall next door served and a perfect reception venue complete with a wonderful array of Greek foods, and the traditional Italian wedding cookies. The best part was the dancing, traditional serenade by one of their guests and special dance from one of the flower girls! Congrats to this sweet couple and best wishes!

One of the best things about living in Alabama is you never know what the weather is gonna be like. Well, this past January, we had a pleasant surprise of spring like weather for Kari and Doug’s wedding day in Northport. Kari looked radiant in her gown with simple bodice but had such a beautiful skirt- almost a reminder of flower petals flowing around. These two decided to keep traditional and not see one another before the ceremony. They decided to set  up a non traditional first look and reach around to hold hands , while still unable to see one another. This, we must admit, was the highlight of the day. The best man stepped in to play the role of the bride and as Doug reached around, he definitely started to pour our his heart! Of course, Ms Kari was there all along trying her best not to laugh! Along with the rest of us! Anyway, after the joke was over, Kari stepped on in and this was one of the best non traditional first looks we have had! What a treat to be able to share this moment. Definitely the highlight of this wedding. Congrats !
