One of the best ways to get active for residents in Kansas City is to workout with other locals. There are plenty of bike paths in and around Kansas City where you can take the opportunity to ride and get some exercise.

For a good stretch-out without committing to a full day ride, check out the Trolley Track Trail, a 4.5 mile trail paved with crushed limestone and running along the former track bed of what was once the area streetcar. The trail runs adjacent to the commercial district and incorporates limited lighting for riding at night.

Hit the trails in Kansas City!

If you are looking for a longer ride or need to get away from your Kansas City apartment for a bit longer, you can take the time to visit Riverfront Heritage Trail. It’s a 10-mile stretch through the historic district of town, which gives you the opportunity to view the historical sites in town from up close.

Riley likes to be up high, like on top of a bookshelf or cat condo, but his trademark behavior is he loves to sleep in a bathroom sink. When Riley wants something, and chooses to meow at you about it, he throws his head back for emphasis while issuing a single meow.
