WHAT IS NTLDR?
NTLDR is short for NT loader – a program loaded from the hard drive boot sector that displays the Microsoft Windows NT startup menu and helps Microsoft Windows NT load.

Why ntldr error?

This problem may occur if the basic input/output system (BIOS) on your computer is outdated, or if one or more of the following Windows boot files are missing or damaged:

Ntldr
Ntdetect.com
Boot.ini

How to Fix ntldr missing file?

Step1:Use the Windows OS Setup disks to restart the computer, or use the Windows  CD-ROM to restart the computer.

Note: At BOIS select first boot device “Boot from CD”

At the Welcome to Setup screen, press R to repair the Windows installation.

Press C to repair the Windows installation by using the Recovery Console.

Type the number that corresponds to the Windows installation that you want to repair, and then press ENTER

For example, type 1, and then press ENTER.

Type the Administrator password, and then press ENTER.

• Type the following commands:

copy X:\i386\ntldr c:\
copy X:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\

Note X means CD ROM Drive Name – replace x with your CD ROM drive letter

If you are prompted to overwrite the file, type y, and then press ENTER.

NOTE: In these commands, there is a space between the ntldr and c:\, and between ntdetect.com and c:\.

Short Cut Method

Since we had access to another computer, we copied the NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM which was available from the recovery CD which comes with Windows CD. We placed both files to Main Drive which was corrupted. Then Re-started the Computer.

IF you expert in booting from Live CD Eg: Hiren Boot CD, then you can copy the files through usb. Place 2 files at windows OS path : C:\
