Hot Summer's Day

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Sun, 14 Jun 2015 17:28:00 -0400

Walking around the hospital and decided to take a break and enjoy the breeze. Beautiful blue skies with puffy white clouds and toasty-hot sunshine. Lovely Sunday afternoon. Probably better on the boat but that didn't work out today. Meh.

Back to work tomorrow with a trip to LA on business. Love getting out to visit clients. Don't love cramming a week of work into two days. Thank goodness for gogo inflight Internet so I can be productive in the air.

Congratulations to Warren (cousin) and Chantelle on their wedding this weekend. Looks like the family had a great time together celebrating.

Australia Day 2015

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Mon, 26 Jan 2015 17:04:00 -0500

Spent it in a variety of airports across the US trying to get to Little Rock, Arkansas for a client meeting.

Might have to tune into Baby Animals radio.

A reminder.

Work. Schmurk. Family and friends are what it's all about. Sometimes it takes a little nudge to remind me where my priorities should be.

Mad dash...

Time to work out and guzzle some beroccca-infused Fiji-wannabe water. And then cry in the corner about how much effort it takes for 41-year olds to burn off a single, freakin' calorie. Wahhhhhh.

Wowza. That was a lot of walking today. And I'm nowhere near finished seeing everything. Saw some amazing technology in play today, along with smart use of celebrity endorsements.

One observation: no plinko, spin the wheel, mini golf, magicians, jugglers or other shenanigans and very few freebies. Just a few instances of scantily clad gals dancing around with headphones on (cliche).

Products are the showcase and attention grabbers. Showing them in action, in new applications, and letting people get their hands on and try it for themselves.

More tomorrow.

Bad Tradeoff

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Mon, 22 Sep 2014 23:30:00 -0400

Today I shaved ten minutes off my commute home as a result of being in the office until 9pm. #poorchoices

On the upside, I successfully consumed most of a bag of red, white and blue twizzlers.

Yum.
Took the day off work and spent it being fiscally responsible by meeting with Anna Barton to plan for retirement and then taking a walking culinary tour of downtown Cincinnati.
Heading home through crazy traffic and received a call from Ethan to inform us that he was elected to student council today. Proud... and a little guilty that I didn't know today was Election Day and that I had no clue Ethan planned to run or what he planned to say in his speech. Urgh.

I remember Kyle's prep with his handwritten index cards and all the practice... These kids are so different from each other!

Nashville: Gaylord Opryland Hotel

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Sun, 10 Aug 2014 12:20:00 -0400

Visiting for a client conference and on my way across the complex I managed to lose direction and get myself lost (not a surprise to those who know me well).

These fish caught my eye and the constant sound of running water was almost hypnotic.

I'm surprised they don't have a bunch of hammocks hanging around this place--it'd be the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon (if in fact that was on your agenda).

Exclusive: baby boy makes waffles on his own for first time ever, from scratch.

He had the idea

He read the recipe and follows it

He improvised when discovering there was no milk in the fridge

He'd better clean up the mess he's making!

When there's no one home, I love to...
