Valassis / RedPlum Coupon Inserts Disappearing!!

So lately, beginning on February 1st, 2009, the RedPlum coupon inserts in Sunday newspapers have begun to disappear. Valassis, the company that prints the weekly RedPlum insert has stopped including their coupon inserts in certain newspapers across the country.

Therefore, if you live in certain areas of the country you will no longer (i.e. never again) receive the RedPlum insert in your Sunday newspaper.

I am not in one of the areas affected by this decision, but I am saddened, frustrated, & upset for those who are! Additionally, this decision may be eventually be expanded to ALL newspapers!

We (all Americans) have to express to Valassis what a bad idea it is to remove coupon inserts from Sunday newspapers! Coupon inserts feed individuals & their families, keep newspaper companies afloat, help charities stay alive via donations, support clinics who receive donations as well, etc.

Kmart Double are back AGAIN?! Yippie!

Are they back? We all love those doubles and this would be the 4th time in 3 months!

Reportedly, Kmart doubles should be taking place this coming Sunday (tomorrow)!

That is January 4th - 9th! The rules have changed this time though, you are only allowed to use 25 coupons per transaction, as opposed to the 75 per transaction that we have been able to use for the past 3 sales. Anyway, make sure you check your ads in tomorrow's newspaper, because this sale is supposed to be for ALL Kmart stores!

Well, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and were able to pass the time with great people that you enjoy spending time with! I sure did, but before it got too late, I made a trip to my 24-hour CVS store! I used most of my ECBs to buy the Pedi-Paws pet nail file AND I lost a NINE DOLLAR ECB!! Yikes! Yikes! Yikes! I had a spill on my newspaper pile so I put them all in the trash (my inserts and ads were already removed, whew!), BUT I didn't realize that I still had an ECB near the pile! :-(

But oh well, I am saddened, but what can you do, but REBUILD! And this week at CVS I did! Yippie!

The totals this week were too crazy to make any sense. To summarize, I made 3 visits to CVS in one day and visited 2 different stores. At the end of it all since I bought the Pedi-Paws for my doggie I ended up with $9 in ECBs, but it was worth it because my doggie needed it.

Kmart Double Coupon Days! - 2 more dates! - November & December!

Kmart is doing there double coupons sale again, but this sale is not as well advertised as they have done previously. Here is the scoop!

There will be two sales in the upcoming weeks:

1. November 12-16 - ALL Super Kmart stores will be participating in this sale.

2. November 30 - December 6 - ALL Kmart stores will be participating.

The deals at Walgreens this week at first did not seem to interesting, but with the help of some great coupons, Register Rewards, and strategy this week turned out to be an exciting one!

I ended up getting 17 items for $0.57 cents!
