BKSA Kite Landboarding, Round 1

The first round of the British freestyle landboarding and kitebuggy championship held at High House Farm in Barling over the weekend of the 11th and 12th May 2013. British Kitesports Association tour competition comprised of intense seven minute heats where riders go head to head in a series of knock out rounds.

Twenty foot jumps, spins, inverts, grinds and board offs amongst the ramps and rails of one of Britain’s premier kitesports venues all form part of the action as riders push each other to go harder, higher and further with ever more technical tricks.

2012/13 kiteboarding season of a Polish rider, Przemyslaw Wojcik was spent in Sunshine Coast, Eastern Australia. This short clip shot by Glen Bowden was shot a year after Przemyslaws bad shoulder reconstruction surgery.

It was a hard year and hard time for this rider who wasn’t able to train for a long time. A year after he is back on track spending all day kitesurfing and wakeboarding.

Here is a short documentary of an epic journey by theCrathorne Clan. Polly Crathorne and her sisters did a coast-to-coast trip across South America following the footsteps of their great grandfather.

100 years ago he arrived by steamer in Argentina and made the epic journey travelling by train, foot and horse and cart over the Andes to Chile. POlly and her family was trying to follow in his footsteps, kitesurfing anywhere we could along the way. So how did this epic kite trip from the Atlantic to the Pacific go? 4560 km driven. 4753 m climbed.

More nights under canvas than in beds. More days kiting than not.
