I also need to refactor my code and clean it up a bit.

My app will be a facts based app similar to 6500 Awesome Facts.

There are quite a few sites on the internet where you can post your website for sale. In my ebook and video guide, Pimp My Flip - How To Create A WordPress Blog You Can Flip For Quick Cash, I cover 3 of the main sites most people use. These three sites are not the only sites used to post websites for sale. There are many others such as WebsiteBroker.com.

WebsiteBroker.com has been online since 1997. It’s a nice looking site with an inviting user interface. The site has a very fast and easy sign-up process. You can sign-up for an account and list your site in less than 5 minutes.

The site has 2 types of listings: the premiere listing and the standard listing.

The standard listing has the following features

Post your site for sale for 90 days

$9.95 fee

Standard listings appear below the premiere

The premiere listing has the following features:

Post your site for 90 days

$29.95 fee

appears at the top of the category

appears 30 times more than standard listings

Includes a picture of the site

What are the benefits of posting your site for sale on WebsiteBroker.com? For starters you get your site exposed to thousands of potential buyers who visit the site looking for deals. You are not required to pay any commissions to WebsiteBroker.com. You’re allowed to edit your listing any time you like including changing the price. Potential buyers will contact you directly via email.

You can list your website for sale in one of 28 categories. You’ll have access to an account control panel where you can see your websites and domains for sale, your watchlist, messages, saved searches, and profile.

WebsiteBroker.com looks like a buy and sell website directory that you may want to add to your list of sites for selling websites.

If you’d like more in-depth tips on buying and selling websites check out my ebook Pimp My Flip.

For those considering outsourcing in their online business, the goal is to create a more profitable company while streamlining the owner’s work. Taking the time to avoid common outsourcing mistakes will make the process go much smoother and avoid the feeling that you are spinning your wheels and getting nowhere. Or to quote Nicole Dean of www.OutsourceWeekly.com “You must plan your outsourcing wisely. Otherwise, you’re simply throwing money into the wind.”

As with any part of business, outsourcing has its good and bad points, however if you are aware of the potential problems before hand, you increase your chances of an enjoyable experience.

Here are 5 potential outsourcing mistakes every online business owner should be aware of, in order to avoid making them.

1. Not Knowing Who You Are Dealing With
Most business owners who outsource will tell you the biggest benefit of doing so is the fact that their assistants work remotely. The number one problem when it comes to outsourcing, though, is not thoroughly checking out the contractor or company who will be performing the work. Keep in mind that sometimes this independence can work in the opposite direction if not taken seriously. Make it a point to carefully interview the people you are considering working with before assigning a task or project to them. The person or company should be someone you can trust to represent your business.

2. Non-Communication between Owner & Assistant
Whether you are outsourcing tech support, writing, web design or something else, there is a great deal of effort needed in order to keep the lines of communication open. If you allow your workers to do work for you without communicating your goals and what it is that you need, you will find that they your work will not be done as you’d hoped. Assistants are not mind-readers and do need guidance. Take some time to make sure that you and the people you outsource to understand your expectations. This is an important part of making sure that you get what you need.

3. Forgetting to Budget Wisely
In order for outsourcing to work properly, you’ll need to keep a good eye on what you are spending for the work being done. While some projects will require single payments to your assistant, others may involve recurring or retainer payments and you will more than likely have some type of contract or agreement that binds you. Some of your assistants may charge by the hour while others may invoice by project or expect payment based on a commission of some sort. Take the time to figure out how much money you can afford to spend on certain tasks and budget appropriately.

4. Under Utilizing Your Contractor & Their Resources
When you choose to outsource certain tasks, make certain you are using your assistant to their fullest capabilities and not just outsourcing for the sake of outsourcing or splitting up work between two assistants when it makes more sense to have one handle both jobs. Sometimes you can find freelancers who are willing to work on a recurring basis or who will complete larger projects at a reduced rate in order to get and keep your business. Don’t be afraid to ask potential contractors if they have room for more than just one or two jobs and don’t outsource something just to say that you’re on the outsourcing wagon.

5. Misunderstanding Your Role as the Outsourcer
As the one doing the outsourcing, you need to understand your role. In order for the relationship between business owner and assistant to flourish, you’ll want to keep the lines of communication not only open, but clear as well. Be detailed in what you expect from your help. Also keep in mind that you are probably not their only client and as much as you would love to have them all to yourself, that probably isn’t the case. Be respectful of their time and give feedback on their work. This will help them do a better job and respect your time in return.

Making yourself aware of possible problems that often occur in the outsourcing relationship now allows your business to grow by leaps and bounds. Don’t be afraid to start your outsourcing journey, especially that you are now better prepared to do so.

Because online business calls for a wide variety of skills and talents, no one person can or should tackle them all on their own. There are several tasks that can easily and, more importantly, beneficially be outsourced elsewhere. Here are just a few of them.

Writing

For many people, writing is not a strong point in their business. Therefore, putting well written, action provoking content on their website is a difficult task. However, this is NOT an area to be skimped upon when it comes to online business. The content on a website has a direct effect on search engine rankings. Copy that is neglected will show when it comes to a business’ bottom line. If you find it difficult to get the results you are looking for with your writing, consider outsourcing it to a qualified writer. You will find that there are a ton of freelancers who can help you get the content you want, to help generate sales from your visitors.

Recommendation: www.Shelancers.com/directory

Website Design

If you are running an online business, you need to put as much time and effort into your website as you would a brick and mortar store. Getting an attractive, easy to use website is not easy and you will find that there are many professional website designers who are looking to wow you with their expertise. This is something that is well-worth the money spent. You’ll be able to rest assured that your website design is attractive and easy to navigate, which is always a plus for turning visitors into buyers.

Recommendation: Site Build It

Search Engine Optimization

If you run an online business, you already know how important search engine traffic is to your success. In order to rank high for your keywords and phrases, hiring a search engine optimization expert or link-building service will help to put you on the map. Search engine optimization, when done correctly, will increase the traffic to your website and is an easy way to get your business name out there for the entire world to see.

Recommended Service:
http://easyplr.com/vana.htm - Sit back and let this service write blog posts on their network of blogs and link to your websites.

http://easyplr.com/kings.htm - This new service will create a youtube video about your website, submit your blog to RSS directories, and handle your social media for you, while you focus on other parts of your business.

Customer Support

For those who sell a product, whether it’s candles or ebooks, more than likely you will need customer support. Outsourcing is a great deal easier than putting together a full support staff, training them, and then getting them set up with equipment. When outsourcing customer support, you will be making the most out of your time and ensuring that your customers get the most out of their products.

Blogging

If you’ve been online for any amount of time, you already know that Web 2.0 and all that goes with it are important parts of your business. One way to add value to your business is to create a blog. You can easily find a qualified contractor to help you update the blog and provide ghostwritten blog posts for you. A great way to keep in touch with customers, clients and others interested in your business, outsourcing your blog tasks will keep you from overextending yourself.

Outsourcing is something that every business owner, whether large or small, can do to help make their business more successful. Put the work in the hands of the experts and you can focus on the things that you enjoy and come easier to you.

These are only a few of the many business activities that you can outsource. ?Check out www.OutsourceWeekly.com for a step-by-step guide to get started.

When you are in business for yourself, especially one that is conducted online, you’ll find there are a number of different things for you to learn about that can save you time and make you money. Outsourcing is by far one of the more exciting things to discover and put to use.

All too common is the business owner who feels they have to do everything themselves in order for things to go smoothly in their online venture. This couldn’t be farther from the truth! In case you’re curious about why so many online business owners are singing the praises of outsourcing, keep reading to see just five of the many benefits it can obtain.

More Value for Your Time

When you own an online business, one of the most important things to remember is how much your time is really worth. When you think about the dull or repetitive tasks that you are doing, you’ll find this work is not worth your high per hour price tag! When you outsource, you’ll pay someone else to take care of those responsibilities while you give attention to the more important, money-making projects.

Saving Resources

Think about everything that goes into the tasks that you would outsource. This will range from things like your time and space to costs such as Internet and software. After awhile all of these costs add up. For instance, graphics software can get quite expensive. If you are outsourcing an activity, you get more than just the task itself out of the way. You will also get someone who specializes in areas of your business that you may not know quite as well as or have no desire to learn. More than likely these people will already have the tools needed to complete their assignment. Depending on the project, this might save you money and learning time. This brings me to the next benefit of outsourcing.

Going to the Experts

The tasks you are outsourcing might not be ones that you have no desire to learn about, whether they are troubleshooting, manufacturing, taking orders, website design and maintenance, or something else. By handing the work over to an expert who enjoys and makes it their business to know these things, you’ll be able to take advantage of their knowledge in the area without having to learn it yourself. This in turn will give your customers or clients more than you could possibly give them yourself.

Expand

When you outsource, you will soon realize that you are in a great place when it comes to getting more involved with your business. You will be able to expand and provide everything your customers need. Outsourcing frees you up to try new things with your business, learn more and experience new aspects of your industry.

Accountability

When you outsource, you will have a contract with the person or company you are working with. By having someone else who is depending on work from you, you are more apt to stay ahead of the game by planning better and making sure that you’re tasks are getting completed as well.

When you first begin learning about and implementing outsourcing techniques within your business, you’ll find out those boring or repetitive tasks can easily be handed off to someone who enjoys doing them. This will allow you, as the business’ owner, to free up more time to concentrate on more important aspects of your business such as product creation, advertising, networking and other marketing practices.

These are the things that will help your business to grow even more profitable.

“I started my business so that I’d have freedom, but I’ve never felt more trapped….”

I come across a statement like that at least once a day on a forum post or in email. You start your internet business because of the freedom of being your own boss and working on your own schedule and then promptly sit on your hind-end for 12 hours/day EVERY DAY. No wonder you feel burnt out. And no wonder family and friends are feeling neglected when all you can think and talk about is your business.

Freedom sounds pretty miserable to me if it means freedom from fun and the ones that I love.

So, how do you break free?

Start by taking a good look at your business and getting your goals and priorities straight. Don’t worry, it’s not nearly as complicated as it sounds. I’ll walk you through it right now. Ready?

Grab a pen and a piece of paper or open your favorite word processor. Divide your page into four columns.

Now you’re ready to brainstorm. Write everything down as it comes to mind. Don’t overthink this. Just start writing.

First, figure out what is working. Whatever it is. It may be one of your websites, your ecourses, a joint venture, a certain marketing method. Where is the bulk of your money coming from, currently? (If none yet, where do you believe will be the place where the largest profits will come from?) Write those items in column #1 under: “Do More”.

Second, figure out what is not bringing in money. Is it hanging out on forums or posting classified ads to freebie sites? Is it endlessly checking your stats, or email? What are your daily time-suckers? Write those under column #2: “Do less”.

Third, figure out what could work better. Do you have upsells in place? Are your websites designed to bring you cash from every visitor? Make a list of ideas in column #3: “Improvements”. (If you don’t know yet, don’t worry. There are plenty of ways to improve your business as you learn and grow.)

Fourth, figure out what can be automated. Which tasks are repetitive and boring, albeit necessary? Many of those types of tasks can be automated with simple tools. For instance, if you’re submitting articles to directories by hand, there are tools and services to do that for you. Add these to column #4: “Automation”.

Now that you’re armed with your list, it’s time to get to work.

Look at your list in Column #1: “Do More”. Those are the tasks that you should focus your energies on. It’s a good idea to tackle one or two of the tasks on that list first thing in the morning – every morning. Believe me, it’s much more productive than checking out your favorite blogs or logging into twitter. And you’ll be amazed at how much you can get done quickly when your mind is fresh.

Look at your list in Column #2: “Do Less”. These activities should be forbidden until after you get your #1 list done, if you do them at all. For instance, hanging out on Twitter is fun, but do not do it until everything in column #1 is finished for the day.

Now, go back to Column #1, 3, and 4. Your “Do More”, “Improvements”, and “Automation” lists.

Look at all of the items that are on those three lists. Now, circle each task that you …

• Can’t Do
• Don’t Have Time to Do
• Don’t Want To Do

Those are the tasks that you’ll outsource.

Freedom means a lot of things. It means freedom to do the things that you want to do. However, it also means freedom to NOT do things that you really dislike doing.

For me, it’s graphics. I have outsourced all of my graphics since 2001. I don’t have the time, patience or inclination to learn how to make my own graphics. I have more important things to do, like write this article and then go on a bike ride with my son. Perhaps when I get back from my bike ride, my graphics will be waiting for me in my inbox.

Now, that’s freedom to me.

Want to outsource but don’t know where to start? Nicole Dean and Jimmy D. Brown invite you to http://www.OutsourceWeekly.com where you’ll learn how you can get free time (and earn more money) while others run your business for you.

By Jimmy D. Brown, http://PLRSO.com

Content is king. It gets to wear the crown. And sit on
the throne. And rule the world. When it comes to
establishing credibility, gaining trust and producing
sales, content is royalty.

While I would never suggest abandoning the concept of
delivering high quality content to your subscribers, there
is another type of list composed of subscribers who couldn’t
care less about content.

“What is this type of list?” you ask.

- > The “announcement list”.

I’ve been teaching about the “announcement” list since
at least 2002 (on record at an event). And, yet, it’s a
widely untapped asset in most email marketing circles.

The main reason is: nobody’s teaching it. And so,
nobody knows anything about it, let alone how to effectively
create one of these lists.

So, we’re going to revisit it.

————————————-
What Is An “Announcement” List?
————————————-

DEFINED: An announcement list is a list whose sole purpose
is to “announce” (I.E. Inform, notify) when something new
is available for review, consumption or purchase.

In other words, it unapologetically says, “Hey, I just
released XYZ. Come check it out!”

Now, at first glance you may be thinking, “Who would join a
list that offers no content and only sales pitch?”

If you say it that way, it doesn’t sound too good to me
either! That’s why you don’t say it that way. Let’s take
a look at HOW to “say it”…

————————————-
How About An Example “Announcement” List?
————————————-

If you go to this site:
http://PLRSO.com
you’ll find a textbook example of this concept. PLRSO
stands for “Private Label Rights Special Offers” I
established this list for the sole purpose of informing
people anytime I have a new PLR offer available for them to buy.

That’s it.

I don’t send out ezine articles to them. No newsletters.
They don’t get blog posts. There aren’t any special reports.
No content of any kind. What they get, in essence, are
sales messages.

And there are already 2,822 subscribers, many of which
have already purchased some of the PLR special offers that
have been “announced” to the list.

Why does it work? Let me give you plenty of reasons…

1. I took something that was “in-demand” (PLR) and I allow
people to get a head-start on the world by knowing about
new releases FIRST by joining this list.

2. It’s not billed as an “announcement list”, but rather
a “Free PLR Club”. Big, big difference in perception.

3. It has it’s own domain name, further adding to the
perceived value and importance to those who join.

4. There is no requirement to buy once you join. Buy the
offers that you want, pass on the ones you don’t want.

5. A cost example is provided to show what you can
buy immediately, further illustrating the value of the
complimentary “membership”.

And here’s the big twist that makes this idea of creating
an “announcement” list a complete no-brainer…

I allow my affiliates to “give away” complimentary memberships
to the PLRSO club!

When someone they refer buys one of the offers, they earn
a commission. And I get other people to promote and build
my list for me. We all win.

So, you may be thinking…

————————————-
What Kind Of “Announcement” List can I Build?
————————————-

There are a wide variety of “announcement” lists that you
can build. Let’s briefly look at ten of them…

* PLR List. You can swipe my idea and create a list of
private label rights buyers.

* New Offers List. Build a list of people who love your
work and want to be notified any time you have a new
offer available.

* Pre-Launch List. Create buzz and anticipation for an
upcoming new product release by building a pre-launch
list several weeks (even months) in advance.

* Ezine Publishers List. Build a list of publishers who
want to know any time you have a new ezine article
that is available for reprint in their ezines.

* Bloggers List. Another idea is to allow bloggers who
are looking for ready-made content to post to their blogs.

* Industry News List. How about becoming the “go to”
guy or gal to share breaking news about your industry?

* Joint Venture List. Develop a list of partners and
affiliates who are ready to promote anytime you have a
new offer.

* Incentives List. Here’s a great idea - create a list of
people who you offer “incentives” to when they purchase
someone else’s new product through YOUR affiliate link.

* Freebie List. Regularly give away rebrandable content
(reports, articles, videos, etc.) to these subscribers
to earn commissions.

While all ten of these lists aren’t necessarily “buyers”
up front, they each can certainly lead to buyers and revenue
for you if you implement them.

Content is king. But let’s not forget that there are alot
of queens, princes, dukes and earls out there too.

I’ve always been impressed with those who can take overwhelming
things and handle them with ease and poise. It never seemed
to work that way for me, until I discovered the secret for
tackling those daunting tasks.

The secret is simple: make things simple!

With just about every major undertaking, things can be simplified
into a handful of “core” components. That makes them manageable.
Manageable fosters productivity simply because I can work on
something that seems accomplishable. And when productivity goes
up, desired results come.

I received the following question from one of my clients…

“If you have to pick, what would you say are the top 2 or 3
things we should concentrate on? I’ve heard the
domain/site(blog) are the most important, then others say
writing info products, others say lists. For short term and
long term investment, what is the most important things to
be working on?”

This client wants things simplified. And rightly so. He knows
the secret to success is getting things down into manageable
chunks.

So, what are these core practices for building an internet
business? There are three things - and three things only - that
you need to concentrate on with your business…

1. Offer Development.

You cannot make money online unless you have an OFFER. It’s that
simple. Unless there is some way for income to be generated, you
can’t get paid. End of discussion. Every business is founded
upon a revenue-generating offer. Now, this can either be your
own offer (small reports, ebooks, memberhip sites, coaching/consulting,
advertising, etc.) or something you promote as an affiliate and
earn revenue for referred sales.

2. List Marketing.

The fortune is in the list. You’ve heard it an untold number of
times in the past, right? Building and profiting from opt-in lists
should be a major priority on your schedule. You need to devote
yourself to attracting new subscribers and then getting all of
your subscribers to spend money with you … by purchasing your
OFFERS (see #1 above).

3. Traffic.

The third and final thing you need to concentrate on is “traffic”.
This includes both traffic GENERATION (getting visitors to a site)
and traffic CONVERSION (getting that traffic to buy). This includes
things like: starting an affiliate program, buying PPC ads,
participating in joint ventures, utilizing viral marketing tools,
raising your visitor value, tweaking your sales pages, etc.

With each of these categories, you have a variety of options to choose
from in directing your attention. It would be foolish for me to say
“grow your affiliate program” as your number # traffic activity since
I don’t know if you even have your own product to sell. That’s why I
don’t recommend specific activities, but rather three key categories
of business-building.

With each of these categories, find 2-3 activities to work on each
week and you should see results in a short amount of time.

I recommend you work on offer development every Monday, list marketing
every Tuesday, and traffic generation every Wednesday. If you just
spend a couple hours each of these days working on these core parts
of your business, sales should come.

In a nutshell -

-	Find an offer to promote.
-	Setup a list to promote the offer.
-	Drive traffic to the list opt-in page.

Keep it simple. Keep it successful.
