We could have so easily spent all day at the space center; but alas, we had to make our way on the drive back home. The kids loved the gigantic playland with squishy balls and squishy ball shooters.

The kids made all kinds of crafts at the Children’s Museum, which I wasn’t expecting… and even though we didn’t spend an awful long time at the beach, the kids still loved it.

It was so, so hot that day. We spent a lot of our time in the aquarium and checking out birds, like Dancing Toucan Sam.

The fun times weren’t just at the museums and parks. Our hotel had an indoor pool, and we went to a Luby’s for the first time. And sometimes, you make your own fun, right there in your hotel room.

The kids loved walking through the ranch and learning about family life in the 1800s. I think for both of them, their favorite part was watching the blacksmith work!
