When Peter moved to the Willamette Valley to work for Rolf Prima he was looking to make some new friends. So off he rode to the local running club where he met Lauren. Lauren and Peter live in Eugene, Oregon, the Running Capital of America. Together their love grew from the time spent at running club. We began the shoot along the river on the trails they frequently run. Later on we drove some amazing cycling routes out to King’s Estate Winery, with it’s hilltop setting, and panoramic views, it was quite stunning. On the shore of the Pacific, where the surf and tides collide, two families were united by the wedding of Jenn and Brian. This love story began as a friendship but became something more. At Surftides In the heart of Lincoln City, OR family and friends joined the couple along with their children in celebration. The love the bride and groom have for each other radiated around the room. Between Jenn’s two daughters and Brian’s four boys this was a big family right from the beginning. I do not think you will find a stronger couple, one whose love will forever buoy them through life. When the toasts were all said and done they were serenaded by Jenn’s youngest daughter. It was an amazing setting by the beach. The ceremony was held in the courtyard. In the reception hall Jenn’s step-mother had decorated with vintage furniture she collected and burlap table clothes she made herself. Starfish cupcakes for the kids, cake for all, a candy bar too, oh did I mention dinner? Sweet couple, sweet kids wonderful wedding!

{Erin + Jennwood} Wedding Private Residence Sunriver, OR | Bend, OR Wedding Photographer

Erin and Jenwood created a uniquely intimate setting for their wedding. They rented two large houses, one for the ceremony, and one for the party. Friends from both near and far helped in every way to bring all of the details together for this amazing couple. A close friend presided over the wedding making it both unique and memorable. Photographs of Erin and Jenwood, and family photos lined the shelves throughout the house. Jenwood’s degree from Oregon Health and Science University was prominently displayed with the signing book. An amazing dinner was prepared by close friends of the couple. Getting married is one of life’s great events. Changing homes, and starting new jobs are big events too. Erin and Jenwood arrived in Sunriver in a moving truck towing a trailer. They came to get married, and were leaving for a new home, and new jobs. They are off to Salt Lake City where Jenwood begins his surgical residency, and Erin begins a new job. Fantastic couple… wonderful wedding…honored for the opportunity to capture it.

On the first day of June Lena wed Sam at the Oregon Golf Club in West Linn, OR. Lena’s family was originally from the Ukraine. The families shared many traditions, and sang for the newlywed couple throughout the evening. The Pavilion was elegantly adorned with beautiful floral decorations. The dessert table was simply amazing. Desserts of every color, shape, and size, all handmade by the family, were absolutely delicious.

Lacey and Scott are a match made in heaven. For their special day they chose to have a sweet ceremony in Lacey’s Grandmother’s garden. A small intimate wedding for close family and friends in a very private setting. As the scent of lavender filled the air, and peonies in mason jars adorned the tables. The guests were treated to the acoustic guitarist Bill Keale who plays in an acoustic organic style with roots in Hawaiian music. Lacey and Scott posed for pictures with Lacey’s grandfather’s, and father’s cars, a 1931 Ford Model A roadster, and a 1942 Ford pickup truck. They are now both dyed–in–the–wool Oregon Duck’s fans after Scott converted Lacey. For their wedding portraiture Lacey and Scott chose Spark’s Lake up on the Cascade Lakes Highway. The lake provides a beautiful setting with the Three Sisters mountains as a backdrop. We wish Lacey and Scott a lifetime of amazing love and adventures together.

Lake Oswego HS graduates Michelle and Gabe chose the football stadium, and track where Gabe starred as a backdrop for their engagement shoot. Gabe is a professional football player with the Chicago Bears, and he is coming home to marry his high school sweetheart Michelle. Gabe flew in just to see Michelle for the weekend. Portland delivered a welcoming shower to Gabe that did not dampen their spirits one bit. But that shower did persist even though I brought an umbrella. We finished up along the lakeshore where ducklings were the entertainment. We looking forward to working with them again soon for the wedding in Lake Oswego, OR.

When Kimberly met Sarah and her mother…she felt as though she had known them for years! When I first met Sarah and David in Bend Oregon, snow covered the ground. It was fun to capture Sarah and David playing in the snow up near Mt. Bachelor. They had so much energy. So we took these two lawyers word for it when they told us the wedding would be amazing fun. Sarah and David’s family and friends knew how to celebrate that is for sure!!! It was literally non stop laughs all day long. The sunlit ceremony was perfect on the Homestead Lawn at Sunriver Resort. A beautiful reception was held in the Great Hall where hilarious tales were shared and a full night of dancing took place. We had a blast working with these two as well as all of their family and friends!
