It was a gorgeous day yesterday in Bend, OR…. perfect for an engagement photo shoot at Drake Park. These two are all laughs! We look forward to working with them again on their wedding this coming fall at Prong Horn Golf Club. It happens sometimes… lol priceless moment!A perfect way to end a photo shoot and start the evening with a romantic date!

Thirst is a powerful force. Something inside of Chris is always thirsty. Since we only had one more weekend off before our busy wedding season kicks in full gear, he really wanted to gets some more images captured that sparks his inner spirit! While he has made similar images, he thinks the next one will always be better. So in the dead of night Chris slipped out from under the warm blankets. Dressed in his finest synthetics and drove up to West Village at Mount Bachelor. Spring operations meant there would be no uphill restrictions on Monday and Tuesday. He left the car at 6300′ and made a beeline to Pine Marten Lodge at 7775′. After an hour he found himself taking a break sitting next to Bill Healy’s statue. Chris felt like he owned the place. He felt pretty strong too, 1475′ vertical in an hour. This left plenty of time to scout a great viewpoint for sunrise. The waxing gibbous moon of this years perigee provided ample light. The wind scoured icy slopes of the mounts upper reaches provided a taste of adventure. Chris and I hope you enjoy the images just as much as he enjoyed creating it.Earlier in the week we took a drive out to Pine Mountain Observatory so that Chris could capture the gorgeous sunset and the waxing gibbous moon that was in perigee. We want to extend a huge thank you to Heather and Jake for choosing us to capture their love story! It’s been so wonderful to travel to San Diego for their engagement photo shoot and again for their gorgeous wedding at Callaway Vineyard and Winery. It’s been incredibly wonderful to get to know them as well as their family and friends.

We started off the weekend with capturing a few fun images at Heather and Jake’s rehearsal dinner party at the beautiful Martin Johnson House in La Jolla, CA. Followed by a breathtaking wedding ceremony in Temecula, CA at the stunning Callaway Vineyard and winery.

A huge thank you to Stephanie and Roy for driving all the way from the Portland area to Central Oregon to have their engagement photos taken. It was an incredibly beautiful day at Eagle Crest resort perfect for an early evening engagement photo shoot. It was a lot of fun showing them the gorgeous rustic back drop of the surrounding areas of the resort as well as the majestic views of the South Cascade Mountains. We had a blast getting to know Stephanie and Roy and truly look forward to capturing their wedding at Vista Hills Vineyard in the Dundee Hills of Dayton, Oregon later this summer.Like what you see? Recently we were contacted by Creative Director of Central Oregon Magazine, Brian Page. Brian was preparing the Annual Wedding Photography Issue. In the process of researching images for this issue he stumbled upon one of our images from a stylized shoot we created. The editorial staff at the magazine thought the photograph depicted the quintessential high desert wedding. We were thrilled to discover that they chose one of our images for both the cover and the title page of the article. This publication offered us a great venue to display our work. We are very grateful for the recognition we received from the magazine. We also have a nice variety of commercial and wedding work throughout the magazine as well. Pick up your copy!

A huge thank you to Kim and Justin for driving all the way from Olympia, Washington to have their engagement photos taken in Central Oregon. Kim is also inspired by all things artistic and envisioned a slightly rustic and unique back drop for their engagement photos. We look forward to capturing Kim and Justin’s destination wedding in Central Oregon at the gorgeous Brasada Ranch Resort. The historical dairy farm barn in Sisters, OR seemed perfect for their style. We were grateful that the owner of the private property of which the barn sits on, allowed us to utilize such a majestic backdrop to capture their engagement photos. Here are just a few of my personal favorite from the engagement photo shoot.

Caitlin & Dan Engagement Photo Shoot Mt. Bachelor Bend, OR | Central Oregon Wedding Photographer

We started off Caitlin and Dan’s engagement photo shoot at Dutchman Flats near Mt. Bachelor. We could not have gotten more lucky with the weather and clear views of the Three Sister’s MT. Wilderness area…. then we finished off the shoot at Dillon Falls. We really look forward to capturing Caitlin and Dan’s gorgeous winter wedding at Sunriver Resort’s Great Hall in Central Oregon this coming December.
You would think it was Fall. We shot these at Dillon Falls on the way home.

Kristin & Pat Couples Shoot Nelson, NV | Las Vegas Wedding Photographer

I was contacted by Kristen with Vamp Designs http://www.wix.com/vampdesigns/vampdesigns a little over a year ago regarding our wedding album design. She is an incredibly talented artist, passionate about photography and an incredible graphic designer based out of Las Vegas, NV. We couldn’t resist colaborating with her and for a year now she has been designing all of our wedding albums and we could NOT be more pleased with the work that she produces.

After the past year of working together we finally made it happen to meet up… I shot a couples photo shoot for her and her awesome boyfriend. They took me out the this amazing location in Nelson, NV called Eldorado Canyon. It’s a fabulous location for photographers, in fact it’s a pretty famous spot for celebrities. Many films, videos, and celebrity photo shoots have taken place at this location. It’s a photographers dream if you are into the desert, western, vintage style… Lots of gorgeous cactus, raw landscape, old cars, buses, furniture, bikes, mining buildings, water towers, even an old plane crash site that Kevin Costner utilized for one of his movies.

I had a blast spending the afternoon with the two of them scoping out this cool place and capturing some fun shots for them!

It’s been a while since I have posted any images from my lovely husband when it comes to landscape photography. We recently took a road trip for spring break down the California coast. And these are some of my favorite shots that Chris took. The Redwood forest is so majestic! And I especially adore this the light house and sunset shot taken in Cresent City, CA. And lastly a recent rainbow that Chris captured very last minute off the roof of our house in Bend.
