@ultimatebuster let me introduce you to my friend, Windows 95.

Well, I was prepared for Apple to release something $800-1500. If you think about it, $500 is pretty good for that price, especially when you consider the touchscreen, battery, and the cost to design (which probably wasn't cheap)

I kind of agree with this article, except that Flash is an annoyance rather than something useful in 90% of all cases. A Flash blocker for iPad Safari were really nice, I love this extension on the Mac OS Safari (ClickToFlash, and Flash on the iPad would need some TouchToFlash). And a MacBook is in many ways better than a netbook. A large, quality LED screen, a multi-touch touchpad, an awesome OS, a DVD drive, and a keyboard of a reasonable size sure make the MacBook a winner for portable computing. (For smaller things, like checking Twitter, a netbook might be enough, just let's hope it runs something that's not Windows.)
I also see ultimatebuster's point about the specs, and I agree a lower-spec device should be cheaper. But an important point is also the definition of high and low specs. For the iPhone OS, a first-gen iPhone is the lowest spec device, and the iPad is the highest spec device. The iPhone Os runs perfectly on hardware, which would never be enough for Windows running equally fast and smooth.

First off i noticed a lot of "misinformation" in this posting.... im too tired right now to point out EVERY single detail that was either posted, at the time was correct or just simply mislead.

One thing i noticed that struck me right from the beginning is the fact that you say Windows 7 Hom Premium has no windows xp mode?????!! heres a quote from the above posting.

==== "There is also no XP mode in Home Premium, that means nothing to me, as I already have Windows XP virtualized perfectly in VirtualBox." =====

Thats completely WRONG windows home premium will most definitely function in windows xp mode seeing as i use this from time to time and also develop software i use it frequently when i have need to use my home premium computer.
