Zé Padeiro – Padaria & Pastelaria is located in the village of Monte Real that belongs to the union of parishes of Monte Real and Carvide. Monte Real is known both for the famous Monte Real baths and as a place of tourism attraction.

Besides the tourist attraction we can also find many business sectors including the bakery activity to which Zé Padeiro – Padaria & Pastelaria is dedicated with passion since 1982.

In addition to the logo design, a business slogan was also developed to support the collateral applications.

Demaria doçaria represents a traditional confectionery that came to reality by the hand and expertise of Ms. Maria Bravo. With more than 21 years of dedicated experience in the art of making traditional sweets the client was looking for a graphic solution that would be able to captivate the attention of the general consumer towards the product whilst differentiating it from all the competition.

The colors, the textures and the forms of the seasonal fruits are of straightforward memorization. Most of the fruits within the vast range of the food chain are of circular shape. Of round shape (if you prefer), are as well the small glass jars that Demaria doçaria uses for the packaging of products. From this perspective the idea of incorporating round forms on the structure of this client to project a distinguished identity started to take shape.

A multitude of hand sketches was done in order to reach the final structure among a set of creative solutions. Without forgetting the notion how people would experience and interpret the results from diverse cultural perspectives (frames of reference), it was necessary to create a graphic solution incorporating a specific form that would project the particular function related to the client’s core business.

The sequence of circular shapes used within the graphic structure obtained is straightly interrelated with the round forms of the majority of the seasonal fruits in use. From a different perspective the logo furthermore bears resemblance to a straight sequence of glass jars (disposition seen from above).

KKStructures official web presence was implemented back in 2006 and after six straight years online, the structural solution developed in Flash 8.0 was obsolete. It was fundamental and necessary to improve the official KKStructures website in terms of performance, design, features, and ease of operation.

As with everything in life, it’s not easy to come out with the best possible solution without sacrificing features or performance but with a very simplistic concept in mind the goal was achieved. The modern structure was meticulously considered and refined to project and proportionate the user a substantial visual experience. The languages implemented and in use at the core of the new solution include HTML5 on the structure, CSS3 on the visual features plus the latest versions of PHP on the functions and a hint or two of JavaScript on the plug-ins.

In the current solution there was no visual sacrifice for speed even if everything works remarkably fast no matter the OS in use. The vicissitudes of using Mac, PC or any other mobile OS, accessing online networks, were considered. Unless some users still dwell with outdated OS (ex: Win98) or outdated browsers (ex: IE6), the full experience shall be compatible with 99.9% of the browsers available. For the remaining 0.1% the recommendation is to get out of the box for crucial upgrade.

In terms of contents, the main idea behind the simplicity of it all was to originate the best interaction between the works on presentation along with the individual online experience. Without giving space for browsing frustration, there are simply no sections in this solution, just the essential regulars (about, FAQ and contact). Instead of creating a myriad of sectors and publishing very extensive articles, everything accessible invades directly into the optical senses. What easily extrapolates the saying that less is more, making the full experience not just useful but fun.

Malevolence is considered by the metal community in Portugal and abroad as a cult act. Producing and delivering some of the finest extreme progressive metal available since 1994, the band has released two official albums significantly acclaimed worldwide by the fans and the media.

KKStructures was commissioned to create their brand new identity design plus everything collateral, including the development of a vast array of goods generated for the purpose of supporting the release of their upcoming 3rd full length album Antithetical.

Considering the band has never been completely satisfied with the results of their identity representation in the past, this particular work represented a very ambitious task, from beginning to end, meaning it was necessary to come out with a very strong and impressive result.

During the development of their new identity having in mind the Malevolence representation at a worldwide level, KKStructures had to keep in mind the history and overall achievements of the band thus far, as well as their current musical status and everything possible just looking round the corner.

The brand new Malevolence identity (logo) is slick in perspective, ultra modern in representation and extremely bold in scope without detracting from the integrity of the music the band creates. The new structural accomplished design is perfectly articulated to project their past, their present and their future. A very rock-solid logo working flawlessly both in black and white and in reserve representation.

As the exclusive design studio (since the fall of 2011), responsible for creating everything related with the official merchandise of Malevolence, including the overall artwork direction for their upcoming album, there are quite a few collateral designs that will be under upload in the next weeks.
