Way Late Finish in Ravelympics 2010

…but hey, still pretty impressive. There are a million ends left to weave in, and once again I have to go on a button hunt, but the knitting is complete, and it’s oh so cute! I love, love the way the button holes are worked, integrated right into the i-cord band. Genius.

The only mod I made was to work stripes instead of the color work band on the arm.

Whisper Cardigan Update

I have received many e-mails from anxious knitters asking how to purchase the Whisper Cardigan pattern since the Spring 2009 issue of Interweave Knits is sold out. I am happy to announce that soon I will have an updated version of the original pattern for sale here on Knitbot and Ravelry! It will essentially be the same cardigan, with a few minor improvements. There will be a much wider range of sizes, including children’s sizes, and a schematic. Please keep checking back, I will have it up as soon as possible!

I know this is random in the midst of the Ravelympics. My progress is so slow on my project, it’s not worth posting about every day. I do think it will be done in time, though, so stay tuned!

Last night as I was rocking my boy I was thinking, I wish I had a magazine handy, but there is no end table to keep reading material on. So once he woke up I whipped up this chair pocket which I am so happy with! I love it when a vision becomes a reality.

Okay, people, I am going to give this a go!

I have my yarn all lined up. Pikkuveli calls for Cascade 220, which I am going to use for the MC and CC1. For CC2 I am going to double up some Fresco I am using for another secret project, because I love the orange that Suvi uses in the original so much, and that’s what I have on hand for orange yarn.

Here is my Ravelympics project from two years ago. I never wear it, not sure why. I actually really like it. I’ll wear it tonight!
