This weekend LGF and I had the honor for the 5th year in a row to be invited to SHOW 2013 : the graduation show of the Antwerp Fashion Academy.

And it felt as if David Flamée, the wonderful press honcho new it was a celebration as he assigned our seats smack dab in front of my all-time hero Walter Van Beirendonck.

Now as much as I enjoyed being there and celebrating these young students, I missed the chills I got the previous years, when seeing several bachelor students with tremendous promise. I saw far too many references to teachers’ and allumni collections (Manon and Niels, you are clearly not forgotten).

Having said that, KNOTORYUS favourites Minju Kim and Devon Halfnight Leflufy delivered and then some, and I thought Lise Eerens’ presentation was THE shit.

There will be six styles for men and four for women, all of which are variations on one silhouette.

The come in black, grey and white, with flashes of yellow adding a jolt of colour to some of them. The footwear is made from nylon, canvas, suede and leather.

The line will debut at Rick Owens’ upcoming menswear presentation, held on June 27 in Paris.

The shoes are due to hit stores in December and will cost between $400 and $500.

Imma have to start running. Ugh. BUT ALSO YAAAS!

DIIV is one of those bands most people don’t make a lot of fuss about, but I’m never disappointed when I hear new tracks drifting by. The YSL site has new music to score the new pics. Well worth checking out.

spent a day pretending to be drunk at a busy Brussels intersection. People YouTube’d and Instagram’d (Instagrammed?) the crap out of it and lots media picked up the story as a scandal. In fact, the lil’ rascal was filming his newest video for ‘Formidable’ with a bunch of carefully placed hidden cams. Shamefaced apologies from ‘respectable’ media ensued. Apart from being a statement about our obsession with stupid celebrity stories and negativity, the song itself is a powerful piece of storytelling, told from the point of view of someone who just broke up with the love of his life and is lashing out at passers-by. Millions of YouTube views in a matter of days, and deservedly so.
