AZeotropy is the annual technical fest organized by the Chemical Engineering Association of IIT Bombay. In 2007, workshops and guest lectures, along with an added flavor of technical competitions – all came under a unique canopy as ChEA Symposium reinvented itself as AZeotropy. 2) Life Cycle Assessment: A unique green concept which is largely used in the western industries for energy calculations but is yet to gain popularity in India. Team Azeotropy has taken it on itself to popularize the concept in the form of a Poster Presentation competition.

3) Virtual Stock Market: The event fuses the thrill of a virtual stock market with the knowledge and understanding of Chemical Engineering. In short the money may be virtual but the fun will be real.

4) Design Events: The design events ,“Prayog” will require the transfer of engineering skills from paper to action. The two events listed under “Prayog” are “Synergy” and “Xtraction” which will challenge the budding engineer within you to the fullest.

5) Industry Defined Problems: Get a taste of the real industry and actually help them solve their current problems. An opportunity to actually use your tool of knowledge to provide innovative solutions to real-life problems.

6) Paper and Poster Presentation: The opportunity to showcase your achievements and knowledge in the form of papers and posters.

7) Online Events: Online quizzes and other events to challenge your knowledge base.

Technology has no doubt generated utmost comfort and leisure for the human society. But at what cost? We are no strangers to global warming, pollution, deforestation and a multitude of other adverse effects. Unless technology is exercised with forbearance and wisdom, self annihilation is not that far away. As engineers, driven by our passion for newer, faster machines or software, we have taken very long to become conscious of this fact. But now that we have, in the true VJTI spirit we plan to take some steps to inhibit the damage and make technology work for lasting good.

Technovanza2010 will adhere to the theme “Taking Technology to Society”. Barring a few inventions that instantly become a fixture in most homes, technological advances remain largely recondite. Technovanza2010 will aim to bridge this crevasse by a host of projects like Domotique and Amphi Train to mention a few.

As part of our mission to bring technology closer to nature, VJTI will host, for the first time Nivritti, a conference that will see a three day interaction between delegations from eminent NGOs and industries with green proclivities. In addition, student delegates from prominent institutes will be invited to take part in the conference.

Another unique feature of Technovanza2010 is the Rubik’s Cube Mumbai Open in connection with the World Cube Association held for the first time ever in Mumbai which promises to be a treat for Rubik’s Cube enthusiasts all around Mumbai.

To robotics aficionados, budding entrepreneurs and anyone looking to hone their coding skills Technovanza2010 brings an assortment of new and all time popular events. Description: JIVE the annual techno-cultural-managerial festival of JIIT was founded by Jayprakash Sewa Sansthan under the patronage of Jayprakash Associates Ltd. As the name suggests, JIVE is all about exuberance, enthusiasm, and energy. This stimulating event is looked forward to throughout the year. Details: Symphony, is the annual inter collegiate cultural festival of K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering. Held at the beginning of February every year, Symphony attracts a crowd of 15,000 students from 150 colleges all over the city. Competitions at Symphony encompass a wide range of genres, including Music, Dramatics, Literary, Arts, Dance and Fine Arts.Every year, variety is introduced in the competitions, posing a challenge for the competitors, and providing a refreshing change for the audience. This festival has progressed by leaps and bounds over the years with 50 odd events being organized in just two days.

Pronites at Symphony perhaps steal the show with the festival boasting of a guest history like Bombay Vikings, Rahul Vaidya, Parikrama, Strings, Euphoria, Dj Suketu, Louis Banks and many more.

Symphony 2010 plans to venture into an even bigger arena,planning to pull in many more with the Laser show arranged for the first day. Our theme for this year is ' Emotions & Expressions '. Thus the talents of the students from myriad disciplines are manifested in the various events; each signifying an important dimension of human emotion and expression.
