The 3rd ASEF Young Leaders (#ASEFYLS3) is for those who strive to not only lead, but lead responsibly. The 4-day conference analyses leadership development through a tri-folded lens: self-leadership, team leadership and societal leadership.

Citizen of any of the 51 Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Partner countries

Students, entrepreneurs, academics and professionals - all between the ages of 18 and 30

The annual flower carnival at Villefranche-sur-Mer in France involves a naval battle like no other!

It is a naval battle with a difference, on the shores of the Mediterranean in southern France.

The ammunition is flowers - bunches of mimosa and carnations to be precise.

Thousands gathered in Villefranche-sur-Mer near Nice on Monday for the annual event dating back more than a century.

While locals in boats do the throwing, spectators do the catching. They rarely retaliate but love the floral fiesta.

These giant animals are basically made in Japan to celebrate fall harvest. In Northern Japan, rice season is celebrated during September-December. And, Wara Art Festival made these giant animals on the occasion.

Also, in Japan these rice straws were once used to make several goods like tatami mats. Most of these goods are now produced with plastic and wood. But, utilizing straw, students of Musashino Art University produced these sculptures of giant species in the fields of Niigata where Wara art festival is taking place since 2008.

British foreign secretary calls violence against Rohingya Muslims a 'stain' on Myanmar's reputation

The plight of Myanmar's Rohingya Muslims, which U.N. officials have described as ethnic cleansing, is getting early attention at the annual gathering of government leaders at the world body.

Britain on Monday presided over a meeting of several Western and Muslim-majority governments that are urging senior Myanmar officials to end the violence and allow humanitarian access.

More than 400,000 Rohingya have fled from Myanmar to Bangladesh in the past month amid a military crackdown triggered by insurgent attacks on security posts in late August.

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said the violence is a "stain" on Myanmar's reputation, and it's vital that Aung San Suu Kyi and her civilian government make clear the abuses "must stop."

The closed meeting was also attended by representatives of Bangladesh, Indonesia, Turkey, Australia, Canada, Sweden, Denmark and the United States.

INTERNATIONAL Suu Kyi rejects criticism over Rohingya, UN chief urges army pullback

NAYPYIDAW: Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi pledged Tuesday to hold rights violators to account over the Rohingya crisis but refused to blame Myanmar’s army, as the UN chief demanded an end to the military campaign and a better deal for the Muslim minority.

In an address timed to pre-empt censure at the UN General Assembly in New York — delivered entirely in English and aimed squarely at an international audience — she called for patience and understanding of the crisis which has driven some 421,000 Rohingya out of her mainly Buddhist country.

The Nobel peace laureate vowed to resettle some refugees but offered no solutions to halt what the UN calls army-led “ethnic cleansing” in Rakhine state, where soldiers are accused of burning Rohingya out of their their homes.

Amnesty International said Suu Kyi was “burying her head in the sand” over documented army abuses and claims of rape, murder and the systematic clearing of scores of villages.

At the General Assembly, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres joined the international outcry.

“The authorities in Myanmar must end the military operations and allow unhindered humanitarian access,” Guterres told the assembly’s opening. “They must also address the grievances of the Rohingya, whose status has been left unresolved for far too long.”

Every year more than two thousand students study in Hungarian in twenty-six countries of the world. Teachers teaching Hungarian language courses in foreign universities are launching their days in order to popularize Hungarian culture with their work.

– A Balassi Intézetben – jogelődei révén – hatvan éve folyik a magyar mint idegen nyelv oktatása, harmincöt éves a vendégoktatói hálózatunk, magyar intézeteink közül pedig a legrégebben alapított isztambuli éppen most lett százéves. - The Balassi Institute - through its predecessors - has been teaching Hungarian as a foreign language for sixty years, our network of visiting instructors is thirty-five years old, and the oldest of our Hungarian institutes is now centipede. There is a long tradition behind us, so we have to build it, "says Judit Hammerstein, Deputy State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs for Hungarian Foreign Institutions and International Relations.

De a gulyás, a pörkölt bevált. Nem a különbséget kell megmutatni, hanem a hasonlót, ami úgyis eltér valamilyen mértékben, vonta le a tanulságot a lektor, és legközelebb már arról beszélgetett a tanítványaival, hogy ők a rakott krumpliba padlizsánt is tesznek, mi viszont jó sok tejfölt.
– Vendégoktatóinkra úgy tekintünk, mint kiváló kulturális diplomatákra, akik helyismeretüknek köszönhetően különösen hangsúlyosan közvetítik értékeinket. Többen közülük olyan városban dolgoznak, ahol nemhogy magyar kulturális intézet, de külképviselet sincs, így ott vendégoktatóként ők képviselik hazánkat.
Ezeken a helyeken különösen nagy jelentősége van annak, hogy nemcsak a kötelező egyetemi órák megtartásával, hanem a magyar kultúra szélesebb értelemben vett bemutatásával, koncertek, kiállítások szervezésével is népszerűsítik az országot a nagyközönség előtt – mondja Hammerstein Judit. – Szeptemberben várhatóan lezárul a vendégoktatói hálózat szabályozása, amelynek eredményeként november 1-jétől új ösztöndíjazási rendszer lép életbe.
A 2019–2020-as tanévtől kezdődően 1,5 millió forintos keret áll majd minden vendégoktató rendelkezésére, de nem automatikusan, hiszen aki gyenge pályázatot nyújt be, előfordulhat, hogy egy fillért sem kap tervei megvalósítására, míg az, aki ambiciózus programmal áll elő, akár három-négymillió forintos programkerettel is rendelkezhet arra az évre.

I don't think I explained very well how money is actually made. The YouTube process is only for YouTube users who have AdSense ads on their YouTube videos and are already

making money with their YouTube videos. (Ironically, I am not

currently making money with my YouTube videos, so I can't make money this way right now.)It's basically claiming a permanent spot on a Facebook page that is normal an ad space.

Google AdSense Ads No Longer Allowed In IFRAME

Google AdSense updated their program policies to specifically mention you cannot place AdSense ads within IFRAMES.

AdSense code may not be altered, nor may the standard behavior, targeting or delivery of ads be manipulated in any way that is not explicitly permitted by Google. This includes but is not limited to the following: clicking Google ads may not result in a new browser window being launched, nor may Google ads be placed in an IFRAME.

Google AdSense Ads Still Allowing In IFRAME

DFP, (Double Click for Publishers) owned by Google is a Ad Server that lets publishers display ads from any ad network. A unique feature offered is the ability to enter the price you are getting from any 3rd party ad network and then let Google Adsense compete against that price, ads from Google Adsense will be displayed if when they can beat the price.

DFP tags are by default JavaScript, however Iframe tags are available by request.

So Google is still allowing adsense to be served through iframes. In fact DFP is opened to any web publisher and can be used for serving only adsense so if a publisher wants to serve Adsense with Iframe's just sign up for DFP and request Iframe tags.

Seems like another example of one paw of Google not knowing what the other paw is doing. Similar to the Google Search Team with their Panda update penalizing sites for Adsense placements which were placed at the recommendation of Google Adsense advisers.

Depending on how you use iframes, it may be okay. But you have to be careful. Just think about what Google wants. Above all, the ads displayed in the iframe should match the OVERALL content of your site. You shouldn't have a lot of content in another iframe that is irrelevant to the ads being displayed. The advertisers won't like that, and neither will Google.

Secondly, iframes can cause problems for search engine spiders. If you use iframes, make sure your site is search-engine friendly. Google won't like it if your site is not friendly to their spiders. Use a Lynx viewer (text-based viewer) to ensure that you know what the spiders see when they visit your site. With iframes, it won't generally be the same as what your visitors see, and you should take steps to ensure that it is the same.

Read Google's webmaster guidelines. They have detailed instructions there on the proper use of iframes. It is not recommended, unless you know what you're doing, but it's not banned either. I use iframes to serve my ads, as an alternative to AJAX-based methods, but I had to think hard about the above.

DoubleClick Rich Media iframe solution

Web browsers place restrictions on interactions between pages that reside on different domains. This is a security feature designed to prevent pages on one domain from reading data on another. The browser sees the content inside an iframe (the ad) as residing in a different domain from the surrounding page content.

When a website uses iframe ad tags, an iframe is created around the ad. For example, if www.mysite.com has an iframe ad tag that displays an ad from ad.doubleclick.net, the ad is restricted from accessing anything outside the enclosing iframe. This restriction prevents interstitial and expanding creatives from being served through iframe ad tags. However, there are cases, as with ads served by third parties, where publishers want to allow communication from the iframe environment to domains that they trust.

Using the iframe solution

To enable iframe access for DoubleClick Rich Media ads, a publisher must put a special file on their domain that acts as a bridge between the ad server domain and the publisher domain.

The Rich Media iframe solution doesn't work with nested iframe tags. If you try to serve a DoubleClick iframe tag into your site's iframe using the methods described in this article, you will experience errors.

Download the iframe solution file (DARTiframe.html).
Add the DARTIframe.html file to a /doubleclick folder at the root directory of the web service on your web servers. For example, if your website is www.example.com, put the DARTIframe.html file into www.example.com/doubleclick.
Place the iframe solution file on all domains and subdomains where the ad will serve.

This solution only works for ads served using DoubleClick Rich Media.

Holy month

For Muslims, Ramadan is the month in which the first verses of the Quran, Islam's holy book, were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad more than 1,400 years ago.

During Ramadan, Muslims abstain from eating, drinking, smoking and sex from dawn to sunset. This fasting is intended to bring the faithful closer to God and to remind them of the suffering of those less fortunate.

Ramadan's importance for Muslims

Ramadan is the most sacred month of the year for Muslims — the Prophet Mohammed reportedly said, "When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained."

Muslims believe it was during this month that God revealed the first verses of the Quran, Islam's sacred text, to Mohammed, on a night known as "The Night of Power" (or Laylat al-Qadr in Arabic).

Why do Muslims fast in Ramadan?

Fasting during Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam. There is also a verse in the Quran that prescribes fasting for all Muslims who are mature and healthy enough to fast for the full day. So, Muslims fast as an act of worship, a chance to get closer to God and a way to become more compassionate to those in need.

Fasting is also seen as a way to learn patience and break bad habits.

How does fasting work?

Fasting during Ramadan is one of the five pillars — or duties — of Islam, along with the testimony of faith, prayer, charitable giving, and making pilgrimage to Mecca. All Muslims are required to take part every year, though there are special dispensations for those who are ill, pregnant or nursing, menstruating, or traveling, and for young children and the elderly.

Are there differences between how Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims observe Ramadan?

For the most part, no. Both Sunni and Shia Muslims fast during Ramadan. But there are some minor differences — for instance, Sunnis break their daily fast at sunset, when the sun is no longer visible on the horizon (but there's still light in the sky), whereas Shia wait until the redness of the setting sun has completely vanished and the sky is totally dark.

Culture ShoX Youth Camp: Open Call for Applications!

Cyprus based non-govermental organisation TheatrEtc is implementing a summer youth camp in the Troodos mountains from the 28th July until the 6th August 2017. We are looking for young people between 18 to 25 years old to participate! Application forms are available through the link at the bottom of this call. But first, here’s a bit more information about this youth camp and its context.

What is Culture ShoX!?
Culture Shox! is the name of a project co-designed and implemented by two organisations, Cyprus based TheatrEtc and Danish organisation DSI Swinging Europe, under the E.U. founded ERASMUS+ KA1 Youth Mobility and Learning Program. The project evolves around the development of activities in Cyprus and Denmark that allow the contact between individuals from a variety of backgrounds in an effort to learn from one another, confront stereotypes and misinterpretations of their realities and build bridges of communication, understanding and acceptance. In the context of this project, the camp in the Troodos mountains is the first activity organised towards those goals, in an effort to build a connection between people arriving in Cyprus seeking a better life having fled their home countries and people who are based in their home countries through creative and artistic means and especially through theatre.

The camp will host a group of 28 young people that will consist of 14 individuals from Cyprus and Denmark and 14 individuals who have been displaced from their countries and are based in Cyprus seeking safety and asylum.

At camp, participants will be spending together 10 days exploring and expressing themselves creatively through various workshops and activities such as applied theatre workshops, music and dance workshops, mask making sessions, nature walks and others. All activities and workshops will run by skilled professionals either from the main facilitators’ team or by visiting artists and facilitators. Through the workshops and activities we will be looking at personal and collective stories and memories as well as ways we can visualise a common path as human beings. The camp will be concluded on the 10th day with a final piece of artistic work that the participants will choose to showcase to a wider audience.

Who can apply?
- Aged 18 to 25 years old.
- Interested or/and active in the arts (music, dance, theatre).
- Interested in getting to know individuals from other cultural backgrounds.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Available to take part in the entire camp (10 days).

When?
The arrival day of the camp is Friday 28th July and the departure day is Sunday 6th August 2017. Transportation will be organised upon arrangement with the selected participants.

Where?
The venue of the camp is in a beautiful area at Kampos village in the district of Nicosia (approx. 1,5 hours from Nicosia). The camp space will be the primary school of the village which is converted into a camp space during the summer months. The camp has two separated large rooms (one for men, one for women) with detached bathrooms and showers, a large workshop space, a professional kitchen area, dining area and a large outdoor space.

Does it cost anything?
All the expenses for the camp are covered by the organisers (accommodation, food, transportation, workshop materials).

The Young Peace-builders for Climate Action (YPCA) aims to strengthen the role of young people in promoting sustainable environmental development in peace-building and governance processes, enhance awareness and develop the potentials of young peace advocates as future leaders in community-based disaster risk reduction and management, climate change adaptation, and conflict prevention.

Eligibility Criteria

The Young Peacebuilders for Climate Action is seeking thirty (30) youth leaders from conflict-affected and/or disaster-prone communities across the Southeast Asia. They will be selected based on their leadership qualities and track record, including volunteer activities, educational background, and community service experiences, among others. We are looking for individuals who will be able to demonstrate their potential to make a difference for and address the challenges confronting their communities. All applicants for the accelerator program must:

Be between the ages of 18 and 25 at the time of the program;
Be able to demonstrate their commitment to peace-building, environmental protection, disaster management and/or social entrepreneurship;

Can I apply if I am not a resident of from conflict-affected or disaster-prone areas?

Applicants who reside in other places may still apply as long as their project ideas based on the application form have a potential to contribute in disaster-prone and conflict or post-conflict communities. However, those who live in such regions will be given priority in the selection process. Applicants from disadvantaged or underrepresented communities (e.g. belonging to an indigenous population) are definitely encouraged to apply!

My classes are still ongoing this July but I still want participate in the program. Will you organize another program?

Most of the program activities will happen on a weekend so we suggest that you check the academic requirements that you might miss on the remaining project dates and ask your professors if they will allow you to submit them before or after the program. We will also provide you with supporting letters and documents, in case you need them!

How much should I pay for flight, accommodation and food during the program?

3 Types of relationship attachment styles, Secure, Anxious or Avoidant.

Dear reader, are you an Anxious or Avoidant Dater? Recently I was at the Love Coaches Conference in Santa Monica. There were some amazing guest speakers who shared their insight for helping us help our clients find love.

I found the key note speaker Dr. Amir Levine of Attachment Theory to be particularly interesting.

If you aren’t familiar with Attachment Theory, basically there are 3 types of relationship attachment styles, Secure, Anxious or Avoidant.

Basically, people with Secure relationship attachment styles are comfortable with Intimacy and don’t think a lot about the relationship or worry about their partner’s ability to love them back.

People with the Anxious attachment style crave intimacy and closeness and have a lot of insecurities about where the relationship is going. They worry a lot about their partner’s behavior, spend time trying to interpret their partner’s behavior, worry that their partner will leave them and have a hard time letting go.

People with Avoidant attachment style feel uncomfortable when things get too close, value their independence and freedom more than relationship and don’t worry about their partner’s feelings or commitment to them. They can walk away from a relationship very easily and seem relatively unaffected by the break-up.

Some people have both Avoidant and Anxious relationship styles. This shows up as being very concerned about their partner’s commitment to them but then feel uncomfortable when things start to get too intimate.

Not surprisingly often anxious daters find themselves attracted to avoidant daters to create their own type of “balance”.

Unfortunately this rarely works because the avoidant dater will only INCREASE the anxious dater’s anxiety!!

If you have ever had trouble concentrating to the distraction of other things in your life or you worry about what your partner is doing or how he feels about you to the point where you lose sleep or don’t get things done, you are probably an anxious dater.

If you are an anxious dater, you may be mistaking this anxiety with love!

A relationship with an avoidant relationship style person will just result in you feeling even more insecure, on edge and anxious all the time. And you will become pre-occupied with the relationship and the person you’re dating to the detriment of other things in your life!

So if you’re an anxious dater are you doomed to feel insecure in relationship forever? Can you stop being “so needy” and start to relax? Are you destined for a lifetime of therapy to change this about yourself so you can have a happy, healthy fulfilling relationship?

The good news is NO!

And I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that Dr. Levine’s advice to anxious dater was the same advice I give my clients!

Dr. Levine’s advice is that instead of looking for a partner who you feel “drawn too” and for intense chemistry and physical attraction, instead look for a partner who has a secure relationship attachment style.

How do you do this?

Simply learn how to ask for you what you need. What is ironic is that while Anxious daters really need to learn to ask for what they need, they are the most scared to do it for fear of rejection or being left.

But here’s the truth:

A person with a secure attachment style won’t have a problem calling or texting you every day when he travels for business.

A person with a secure attachment style won’t mind if you ask him to make advance plans with you for the weekend.

A person with a secure attachment style won’t send you mixed messages by not contacting you for a week and then call you wanting to get together THAT NIGHT.

Yes, the uncertainty of dating can be an especially anxiety-provoking time even for peole with Secure attachment styles, and so for Anxious daters it can be especially difficult!

But if you get support and learn how date to have the happy, healthy fulfilling relationship you want, you only have to go through it once!!

Now what if you are an Avoidant relationship style?

Well for you, when things start to get serious you will feel uncomfortable.

You will start to look for things wrong with the person and find yourself losing interest in your partner.

You may become interested in someone else or create crisis in your life and find reasons to avoid the person you are becoming intimate with.

If you easily meet people to date, but rarely get in a relationship, you may have an avoidant dating style.

You would be best matched with another avoidant relationship style so you can give each other the space and freedom you need.

My ex-husband and his wife both have Avoidant relationship styles and they get along great!!

And she loves me because he and I are still friends and he can talk to me about things and she doesn’t have to deal with it! But because he’s Avoidant we only talk every few months!

When you know your relationship attachment style, you can find the right match for you so that you can have a relationship that meets your needs!

As you may know by now, when I first started dating I made a ton of dating mistakes! Well I’m going share my story of how I was dumped after the first date!

How I met a man who really liked me, pursued me and won me over and then after just one date called me to say “I just don’t want to waste your time….”

So here’s the low down of exactly what I did right and then my critical mistake that changed everything!!

So here we go…

One day out of the blue, a man I knew from a Meetup I was part of PM me on Facebook. I had seen him around but I did not give him much thought. He was ok looking but not the type I was used to and based on his Facebook page, I thought he was an unemployed handyman so I was just not interested in him.

For months, he kept pursuing me, liking and commenting on my posts, etc. We seemed to have common interests so finally, I decided what the heck and gave him my phone number.

Well as it turns out, he was an engineer, NOT unemployed and we did have a lot in common. We both loved animals, enjoyed the outdoors, he was spiritual and we had similar backgrounds.

So we began to talk on the phone and regularly exchanged flirty texts with fun pictures. I was having fun while getting to know him.

But after several weeks of texts and calling I began to wonder when was I ever going to meet this guy?

So when he text me again I made a joke about when was my handsome new friend who had been flirting with me for weeks was ever going to ask me out. And then I let him ask me out.

Finally, we had our first date and I was sooo disappointed. I did not like him!

In fact he bugged me!

We were walking around downtown, and he kept making me stand on the inside of the sidewalk. I had to keep changing sides over and over and moving my purse back and forth. I was so annoyed and I wanted the date to end SOON. I thought, where is the guy I have been talking to for weeks?

Plus during our date he was holding my hand the whole time, which also really annoyed me.

I made a decision to stop being critical of him and pay attention to how I felt. And I realized I was kind of attracted to him.

So I decided to show interest in him, practice flirting and focus on just having fun. I mean this one date, I didn’t have to marry the guy!!

The second I changed my perspective the whole date changed.

We sat down by a fountain and began to talk. Suddenly it was like our phone conversations again. We had tons of stuff to talk about and I began to really like him and feel really attracted to him.

It began to get late and he suggested we have dinner. He took me to sushi restaurant and we sat down to eat.

At this point, I began thinking about how I could really like this guy.

I even started thinking “Wow he may be the one”. Before I had been holding back because I wasn’t sure about him, but now I felt myself start to get excited.

And then temporary insanity took over!

Since in my mind he was now my boyfriend-to-be- I began to confide in him some personal issues I was experiencing in my life.

All of sudden he said “it is getting late we should be going”. He walked me to my car, kissed me on the cheek and gave me a warm hug. Later, he text me to make sure I got home ok.

I of course text him back some long text about being on the phone talking to a girlfriend about her break-up. Had so much fun looking forward to seeing him again.

Like I would have with my boyfriend- except this was our first date!!

The next day I did not hear from him.

I was a mess. What happened?

He was the one who was into me!! He pursued me. After all, I generously gave him a chance!

Not to mention I was way better looking than him-he was lucky to be with someone like me!!

Besides he texted me to see if I got home ok so he must CARE right??

Two days later he called me and said it was not going to work out because “I was all over the place” and he was ready to settle down.

What the heck happened?

We had a four-hour first date! He was affectionate, coffee turned into dinner, he text me that night? I thought the date was great.

What happened was, the second I decided I really liked him and thought he could be “The One,” I treated him differently. I changed the way I was acting!

Before that moment, he was the one who was really interested in me, he was the one pursuing me.

But the second I started to really like him, I began acting like we were already in a relationship ON OUR FIRST DATE!

I confided in him as if he was already my boyfriend. I opened up too much! And I became too eager!

When I was not interested in him, I held back a little more and that encouraged him to come forward.

John Gray of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus explains the first stage in dating is attraction. He says:

“When a man is attracted to a woman, he gets excited because he anticipates that he can make her happy. He wants the opportunity to pursue her. When a woman is too eager to please, a man doesn’t experience the distance he needs to pursue her. Without movement and the opportunity for more, a man can easily lose the interest necessary to move through all five stages of dating.”

And that’s how I made one of my own critical dating mistakes- Deciding Too Soon! I fell the trap of the “imaginary relationship” and jumped way ahead. And he felt it!

Now did I blow it with “The One” probably not, but it would have been nice to take it slow and find out for myself.

Which is why I always say “you can never lose anything worth having by waiting”.

Spend the 4th day visiting thriving start-ups and then on Friday, pitch your own idea to a jury to compete for the chance to win up to 5000 Euros in scholarships.

The Amsterdam Summer Boot Camp runs from 8 – 16 July 2017, and is delivered entirely in English.

Competition Organized by Erasmus student network of Pecs in Hungary

This semester Pakistani fellows living in Pecs, Hungary participated in country presentation competition organized by Erasmus student network of Pecs and by the Grace of God we won it.
So, what was this event about let me explain it breifly
Every semester students comes from different parts of the world through Erasmus Scholarship. They represent their country by showing a short presentation in which they show their cultural food, dress, dance, literature etc. In the end of semester, they choose the country with best presentation as a winner.

This year for the first time we also participated along with other European nations and Erasmus students. We presented in best possible way and showed them true colors of Pakistan. We showed them our cultural food, music, Art, dance, literature etc. and as our presentation was best of all so we won the country presentation. This was the first time that non- European country won the presentation.

A cyberattack is any type of offensive manoeuvre employed by nation-states, individuals, groups, or organizations that targets computer information systems, infrastructures, computer networks, and/or personal computer devices by various means of malicious acts usually originating from an anonymous source that either steals, alters, or destroys a specified target by hacking into a susceptible system.These can be labeled as either a cyber campaign, cyberwarfare or cyberterrorism in different context. Cyberattacks can range from installing spyware on a PC to attempts to destroy the infrastructure of entire nations. Cyberattacks have become increasingly sophisticated and dangerous as the Stuxnet worm recently demonstrated. User behavior analytics and SIEM are used to prevent these attacks.

Earlier on Monday, Chinese traffic police and schools reported they had been targeted as it rolled into Asia for the new work week, while authorities in Europe and the United States said they were trying to prevent hackers from spreading new versions of the virus.

Shares in firms that provide cyber security services jumped on the prospect of companies and governments spending more money on defenses, led by Israel's Cyren Ltd (CYRN.O) and U.S. firm FireEye Inc (FEYE.O)

Emmanuel Macron was elected president of France on Sunday with a business-friendly vision of European integration, resoundingly defeating Marine Le Pen, the far-right nationalist who threatened to pull out of the European Union.

The centrist's emphatic victory, which also smashed the dominance of France’s mainstream parties, will bring huge relief to European allies who feared another populist upheaval to follow Britain's vote to quit the EU and Donald Trump's election as US president.

Macron - the 39-year-old former investment banker, who served for two years as economy minister but has never previously held elected office - will now become France's youngest leader since Napoleon with a promise to transcend outdated left-right divisions.

Political newcomer Emmanuel Macron has comfortably won the French election with 65% of the votes.

The president-elect struck a solemn tone in his victory speech, acknowledging the need to "heal divisions" within France.

Marine Le Pen concedes defeats to Emmanuel Macron in French presidental election and says France is now divided between patriots and globalists with her National Front the main opposition

France’s Front National (FN) was founded by Jean Marie Le Pen in the 1970s. It grew out of the country’s political wilderness to become its second most popular party. Jean Marie’s daughter Marine climbed the party ranks in his shadow.

Marine Le Pen’s political career was given a boost in 2011 when she was elected by party members to be FN.

Her anti-establishment, anti-immigrant message struck a chord and, in 2012 she finished third in the national poll.

To distance herself from her father’s often xenophobic and anti-semitic comments, Marine Le Pen took more of a leading role in the National Front. She transformed the party’s image for the better and broadened her appeal.

With her goal of limiting the power of the European parliament, she forged alliances with Eurosceptics across the EU.

Marine Le Pen said she wanted to block any transfer of sovereignty, refuse any new EU restrictions and prevent further enlargement of the bloc.

Surrounding herself with a young communications team and, with the help of social networks, she captured the attention of the nation.

Tactics included a closely coordinated and orchestrated campaign. During a television interview, she outlined a policy where dual citizens from non-European countries would be forced to choose which nationality they want to keep.

Her campaign was plagued by scandals. Le Pen was alleged to have faked her parliamentary expenses to pay her bodyguard.

French prosecutors asked the European parliament to lift her immunity from prosecution.

In April 2014, she qualified for the second round with about 21 percent of the votes cast, finishing in second place to Emmanuel Macron.

After the second round run-off she remains the runner-up to Macron.

The Lviv Leadership Academy or LLA is a two-week intensive international summer course held in Lviv, Ukraine for higher education students and young professionals. LLA will invite forty young leaders from Ukraine, Eastern Partnership Nations, the EU, and Balkan countries from 6-19 August 2017. Applications will be accepted until 31st of May 2017 and evaluated on a rolling basis. The cost to attend LLA will not exceed 50 Euros. Participants will be required to take at least two final exams at the conclusion of LLA 2017.
