Really excited that we were able to get Tonstartssbandht back into town for this one off show. If you missed their last show now you have no excuse but to make up for it by attending. Honestly there rarely goes a week that isn’t made better by throwing on a Tonstartss record. Critical listening:

I’d be hard pressed to come up with a better artist to pair with this line up  than Soft Circle. Excited to hear where he’s headed since 2010′s Shore Obsessed.

Renny Wilson – By and By

Taking it there. Has a bit of a Tones on Tail vibe to it.

Jeremy Spencer – Travellin’ [1979]

After leaving Fleetwood Mac to join The Chilren of  God cult, Jeremy Spencer was not heard from until the late seventies, when he put together this release. One of the catchiest solo Fleetwood Mac member tracks and so ideal for this perfect weather. 

The Necessaries – Detroit Tonight [1981]

I’ve been so enamored with this track lately, something about the weather. I know that Arthur Russell was with them for this album, but I’m still not entirely sure if it’s him singing? While on the track “More Real” it’s definitely Russell’s vocals, this song is a bit more ambiguous. Either way, great track and oddly reminiscent of Denim.

Never Love Me is out April 23rd. This is going to be big.

Know Phase is beyond excited to be presenting a line-up chock full of our favorite artists. This is a night not to be missed. Tonstartssbandht is fresh off their extensive U.S. / Canada Tour and will shortly be taking off on the Eastern European leg of their next tour so this is your only chance to catch them in this small window. Their often half improvised live set really cannot be fully understood online or in recording and really must be witnessed in person to fully appreciate what they’ve been conjuring.

John K. makes his return and first show in Brooklyn since his relocation from Philadelphia. We’ve been big fans of his for awhile and are eager to hear his new material that he’s been tirelessly working since moving here.

After retiring the Zonotope project Lucas Nathan has taken Jerry Paper into the next addicting sonic realm.

Haussmann have been hard at work in the studio over the past few months trying to finish up their debut LP. Their live set has only gotten better with each appearance despite initially starting off on a pretty strong note to begin with.
