What is Affiliate Marketing and How Do I Get Started?

Definition of affiliate marketing:
Affiliate marketing is taking someone else’s product or service and advertising it using your own affiliate website or link in order to make money. The owner of the website/product/service will pay you a percentage of each sale generated through your unique affiliate link or website. Sounds a bit confusing, but in reality is a very simple process with a win/win situation for all parties involved and a fun way to make money online…

How to get started:
You have two options to consider when doing affiliate marketing, whether to have a website or to simply advertise using your unique affiliate link. Many affiliates will create an informational website to be used as a basis for related affiliate links. This can be a great option, due to the fact that you would only need to advertise one website in order to make money.

To go this route, think of something that you are passionate about or something that is a hot topic right now. Once you have determined your theme you need to decide on a website name. To find ideas and keywords to be used as a URL, or domain name, I would recommend using http://wordtracker.com to find appropriate popular keywords related to your theme. It is good to use a popular keyword as your website and domain name so that you will rank higher in search engines.

Once you have your theme and have chosen a name, you need to register your domain name and obtain website hosting. I recommend using Yahoo for your website hosting needs. They offer a free domain name and website builder that does not require knowledge of html when you purchase website hosting. They also allow you to pay monthly rather than having to pay a year in advance which helps you save with upfront costs.

Your next step would be to build your website and fill it to the brim with great information related to your theme. A great and easy way to do this is to get articles from free article websites like the ones listed below:

5. Selling Ad Space
You could sell ad space if you have a site that has high traffic.

6. Selling Subscriptions to Your Newsletter

7. Selling Ad Space in Your Newsletter
Sell ad space in in your newsletter. Same drill as with ad space on your website. Just put a box on your newsletter with a note inside it that says “Your Banner Could Go Here” Then have a page that tells how many subscriber that you have, how often your newsletter goes out and what type of content it usually contains plus the price per ad.

8. Selling E-Books
Do you know something about your craft or hobby that you know people would pay to learn as well? Then sell it in an e-book. What a great way to make a little extra money. You take the time to write a good quality e-book then just fill the orders. You could even set it up so that once the e-book order has been processed and paid for, it goes out automatically using an auto responder without you even having to lift a finger, except to go to the bank to collect your money.

9. Consulting – Offer your services
Do you sell wedding supplies and know all of the best suppliers around? Do a little research and offer your services as a wedding coordinator. Offer your assistance to the people that want to plan their own wedding, but need a little bit of help.

Remember, you wont get rich with just one of these programs, but you just may make a tidy little sum every month with a combination of all of them.

Just an update for you guys on what I have been doing lately.

Started 2 months ago, I dig deeply into internet marketing after attending the Global Internet Seminar held at PWTC. I must say that, these are not what you can learn in college nor university.

A month with no direction...

It is finally here. My final. It is indeed my "final" as this will be my last time sitting for my Degree papers (provided that I do not fail, but so far this can never happen).

Exams are on 24th and 25th and my CFA paper 1 is on 6th December. However, I TOTALLY have no mood to study my CFA. 4 books left to study. I really doubt if I manage to pass this or not... ARGH... damn the law of attraction!!!

Besides the fright of not able to pass, my mind now is heading on to how to earn my 1 million... After all that will be my biggest problem after these "3 days" of hell and fire. My mind has only "HOW TO? WHat WAy? WHO SHOULD? WHERE TO? WHY MUST I...?" now... can't even take in more words from the text... Sigh..

I doubt if I can walk further... SOMEONE PLEASE talk to me! I guess I need counselling badly! =(

In a blink of an eye, November, the second last month of a year, has arrive.

Been having a lot of thoughts on my mind... I guess that's because I am stepping out to the society and ready to work. On top of that, a deadly paper, CFA Level1 paper, is waiting for me on the 6th of December. My progress is still very slow... I don't even have idea whether I manage to handle this paper or not. Yeah I admit that I made the decision in a precipitance... Somehow, I have to be responsible on what I decided right?

Really feel like running away... to a place where it has no noise, no stress, no annoyance...

Perhaps I put too much responsibilities on myself, and all these are driving me to a state of insanity... I don't know...

"BE DIFFERENT"... Been telling myself this from day to day... I have no idea how different I wanna make myself to... It could be a state where all my friends would treat me as weirdo... I don't know... I just know I want to do something extraordinary... not to gain attention or what, but for myself... Sigh

"In order to gain something, you have to lose something"

Talked to a friend of mine regarding my plan after I graduate... and this is what he told me. Must this be the case? Whereby... to gain, you have to sacrifice? Why couldn't there be a mid point? I've promised myself that I MUST GAIN SOMETHING, but... what will I lose...? Friendship? Love? Fun...? I have no idea...

Planning to go to Vietnam to exploit the opportunities there next year... When I earn myself some capital. Staying there for few months isn't an easy task, but... thinking of giving it a try. Bag packed myself and go there alone isn't crazy right? I don't know...

Sigh... I won't be feeling any better in this one month's time I guess... Not until I complete my CFA paper... I hope I can be strong to overcome this one month.

WooHoo!~ It's my birthday! So sorry for haven't been posting for 2 weeks... Been really busy...

Anyway October 14 is the day which I was born, and... I didn't really expect much from my friends. Still... I received a lot of wishes from facebook, which is very heart-warming :)

Gotta thank Ms Hon very much for the sweet birthday song, and of course, not to forget ---> Heartnest (Ms hon's housemates) for the very sweet birthday wishes (Thanks ChernLin, JoanneMah, Felix!)

Then on my birthday, Alex gave me a treat on sushi! DAMN TOUCHED WEI! haha...

Few days later, I went out with ChengHan and Elaine and they bought me my very 1st 22nd birthday cake! Owhh man that's really touched coz I never expect I would receive a cake in this year! Thanks again ChengHan and Elaine!

A week after that, my groupmate, Sieu Ee, actually baked me cake! Happy also leh!~ Thanks Sieu Ee! :) The cakes are just... NICE!

On the same day, I headed over FullHouse for a "family" gathering (with my kai mui and kai ma)... and yes, once again they celebrated a belated one for me, which I truly happy about it.

Recently I always think that I am a lone ranger, but having all these friends who are there with me... I guess I was wrong.

Anyway, that's about my 22nd Birthday. :)

Having thought of meeting new people to widen my networking (Ehh there are many corporate people attend events such as this), I decided to attend this event.

Upon arrival... DISAPPOINTING WEI! So few people... Only met some KamLai's colleagues. I couldn't even spot some pretty chick over here... Aihhh again, lagi disappointed

Really very very few people... But there was this interesting offer here, that the latest model by BlackBerry 8520 was selling only for Rm888! (The original price is Rm1188), with the term that you have to sign up Xpax also la..

Nothing to do inside there... So just camwhore around...

(Sunday) Went to KLCC HOMEDEC Fair today with my family. Visited a lot of booths but nothing special there.. OK lar saw one roadshow girl (YES only one!) who is quite pretty but didn't approach her to make friend. Kinda regret now

The exhibition this time takes up additional spaces! Instead of the usual 5 Halls, they built a tent outside KLCC, at the parking there, as their Hall 6. Wow apparently indoor designing, home decorations and furnitures businesses are growing in our country isn't it? This also indicates that people are wealthier and have a high demand towards home designing. ;)

We lepak till 6pm then we decided to go to a restaurant which we haven't been visiting FOR SOMETIME. Guess got around half a year... I guess many of you have dine here before. it's a shop called "Tian Tian Lai", means come everyday. It's located at Jalan Pudu, behind the POS Office. It's famous for its steam egg, deep fried pork, steam fish and other dishes.

As usual, the restaurant started to fill with crowds after 6pm. We were lucky to have a table left~ If come later might have to queue lor. And these are the dishes we ordered...

Out of our expectation! The tastes of the dishes dropped so much! I mean, out of these 4 dishes, all also disqualified by us! Like, the pork is tasteless; the egg is too watery; the fish isn't fresh; the fried yam is too salty! Wah Lao... damn disappointed wei! Some more I was the one who suggested them to dine here.

My mum was saying that maybe they have changed their chef. To clarify this statement, we asked the boss who brought the bill here...

"Eh have you all changed your chef or what...?"

He gave us a brilliant and yet twisting reply, which make me no way not to admire him!

"Owh no lah... SEE MOOD one!"

(means whether the dishes are tasty are depends on the mood of the chef)

What the heck wei... Apparently he has received many complaints before this already. Man... This is really very disappointing for a food lover like me! Should I give this restaurant another chance? Sigh!

Got invited by Qisha to join the BBQ party which organised by them (foundation juniors) on friday night. Didn't plan to join them at first because I don't have any "kaki" there...

However... when I recall back, I didn't get the chance to enjoy during my Diploma time... Plus there is only 2 more months away from my graduation... I have no reason not to join them right? At least I must make sure myself fully utilize my remaining "time" in TBS to fully enjoy myself!

Having thought of that... just join them to have fun lor! At least that can make myself feel younger by mixing around with all the di di and mui mui zai! Haha...

After submitting my IMT assignment at 8.58pm (9pm is the due time!) today, I went to Little Bally with my friend to have our dinner. Feel kinda relief after so many days of stressful work, and I really need some entertainment! That is why I choose Little Bally because every wednesday-saturday they do have live singing performance there. I enjoy listening to people singing very much, and I feel RELIEF too!

After dinner, online chit chat and facebook there lor... What caught my attention when I open facebook was...

Ms KamLai posted something funny there... and it is meant for me to reply her since the comment was just so "ngam" to be seen by me... So I replied...

LOL... I never missed any chance to char my friends one don't you think so? ;)

The thing is! After a while, there is a new notification, saying that kamlai has reply. So I fast fast click and see what would her response be! Who knows...

WhAT THE HELL man! HAHAHA... So lesson for you people here! Next time when you want to post something on facebook, DO REMEMBER that facebook always publish the message as

Whenever i am staying in my uni till late night, i would drive my car which parks at a damn far place in the morning to parking spaces next to my uni at 6pm something. Usually there would be a lot of parking spaces after 6pm, unlike morning.

So today, after experiencing the building shake, my mood wasn't that good anymore. I have to stay back to complete my assignment which dues on the next day, and i didn't really have quality sleeps for days. What makes me most angry is that, when I reached my car, i saw a saman-like paper nipped in my wiper. When I took out and see, Bingo! it was a saman! But a very "funny" saman.

The funniness of this saman made me kinda like... swt swt swt... Take a look and you will understand why!

Harlo friend... My car plate number is 8797... not what you've written here...

And guess what? Code of being wrong... 10. Okay, So i turned and refer to the back on what the hell in this no.10...

My busy life

Been skipping classes like mad recently... Especially the finance subject that I'm taking ---> FRA. Up to now I've only attended 2 lectures out of so many! The reason being is that... I really have a cacat-ed lecturer who DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO TEACH at all!

Can you imagine he gives u people a

question to solve, but he couldn't even solve it by himself?

"OK we will mark down this question first... next week when we come back I will give you guys the answers!"

This is the respond he gives usually. Then! When next lecture is there... he TOTALLY FORGET about this thing. Man....

Luckily the lecturer had been changed to another guy who is so much better, and his lecture will commence this week.. and I feel really bad that I skipped because of assignment. Argh...

Been staying in my uni till late night. Today is the 3rd day... and I am still rushing for my assignment... Anyway I still I shall go back to work now. Bye people!

Today is sunday. This is a very special sunday for me. It is special in a way that it symbolizes a full-stop to someone's corrupted, direction-less, and soul-less life. It is also special in that it is the beginning of a new life for someone. =)

Sunday, it should be a family day to a lot of people. Sadly, my mum went for a one trip early in the morning... leaving me alone at home...

So I have no choice... today is so special so I must celebrate with someone at least! So I called up my yumchar gang for a dinner tonight... Mana tau... only 2 of them can make it... Haihhh sad! It has been so long since we all dine together on one table lor okay!~

Picked up WongHon and WeiHoe at 7.30pm... So we headed to Puchong to cari makan. In case you don't know... Puchong is a place full of delicious foods... you name it, they have it there. But I brought them to a "Crab" place coz the crabs there are delicious, yet cheap!~

The crabs here are priced @ Rm20/kg! Cheap isn't it? (Rm22/kg for the saulted egg fried crab)

We usually do not consider much when comes to food... (This does not suggest that we are rich. We simple love nice foods) Therefore we ordered:

Cheese and Butter Crab
Marmeet Crab
Fan Shu Yip (Vegie)
Salted fish with pork in clay pot
Mongolia deep fried "lai liu har" (pee prawn is it...? lol...)
and lastly...

Overall the foods are nice and price is reasonable. It costs us Rm91 for a meal of three person (kinda expensive I know... =.=") You should give this a try if you like to eat crab! I do not get paid for this okay!

Money, Friends, Family, Love, Career

How would you rank them?

But before we rank them, let's give some definitions to each (at least myself)

Money - the root of all evil! You need to to buy foods, drinks, shelters, daily needs. Basically you can't live without it. SO do I!

Friends - Friends can be categorized as well. Don't believe? You may have HI-BYE friends, you may have friends that only CALL YOU WHEN THEY NEED YOU, you may have friends that always yumchar with you, you may have friends that listen to you when you're down, you may also have friends that really give u a hand when you need them, so called true friends. But how many true friends do you have? I'm referring to true friends here.

Family - of course, they are your love ones. (Maybe for some they are not...?) Your mum, your dad, your siblings, that you care, or even hate... But no matter what, they are your family. Here, of coz, I am referring to my mum and my sister.

Love - love... I can't really define this term,. There wouldn't be so many suicide cases (because of love) every year if one can really understand it. For me, I am single now. So...

Career - Talk about career... Eh, what is exactly a "career"? I can't really define it... your job? your occupation? According to Oxford English Dictionary, it is "an individual's course or progress through life (or a distinct portion of life)" But to me everyone needs a career. That's where you get your source of income, your satisfaction, your lessons etc.

"How would you rank them?"

This question has been running in my head since few years back. Believe me, it's NEVER EASY to rank them, and some of you would think that it's kinda pointless to rank them right?

Afterall, ranking them allows you to see what you really want in your life. But that doesn't mean that the placing means one is more important or less important. To me they are ALL EQUAL.

Through out the years, the ranking somehow switched places. However, at this point of time... I would rank my family in 1st place, as always!

1st: Family!

To those who know me... you know that I am considered as a single parent kid. My mum brought me up ALONE! She went to work, from morning till late night, earning money to support me in my education, my living... until what I am now. She stopped working few years back due to an eye disease known as Glaucoma. So being her son, I really appreciate on what she has done for me. I always tell myself that I have to repay my mum. That's why since Form5, a lot of decisions made (my education, my thought, my behaviors) somehow influenced by her. I won't deny till now she is still very influential in many decisions I make. She has made the Kok Fai today, that you know. Thanks mum.

(Bringing my mum for a world tour is always my dream)

2nd: Career

Ya career.... I want career so much. I want money i want money! More and more money! Eh? Then why don't I put money as the second place? It's simple. Because other than money, I expect more recognition (self actualization) from my career. Asking me to be an accountant or an office boy with monthly income of 5k is somewhat attractive, but I WILL NOT pick up this occupation because myself cannot be actualized.

I often tell myself and friends around me that I want to be succeed by the age of 25, because I really want to! I want to be different. I always believe I have the capabilities to make things so different than they should. If Mark Zuckerberg can be billionaire at the age of 24, why not me?

And why would I want career so much... Part of it also because of my mum. I promise myself that I want to give her a prosperous retirement. And I really demand recognition, because being a parent, there's nothing more than seeing your kids grown up and being successful as they can... Isn't it?

3rd: Money

NO money no talk! This is the reality. With money, you can do almost EVERYTHING in a developed country. YES, it's really EVERYTHING, even crimes also... No problem la!~

Don't agree with me? How many of you have the experience of being caught by police? So would you say "Give me SAMAN la! Cepat sikit! I tengah kejar masa!"... or you would say... "Eh Bang... Tolong sikit la...."? Example here is only small case. But, believe me... money is essential.

To be frank, with money, you can buy love, you can buy friends, you can even buy family... But are they sincere...? Or they just sincere to your "money"?

4th: Friends

"A friend in need is a friend indeed". Friends are the most important people when you're outside your house. How many of you have more than 10 true friends...? Means... when you call them for help, they would offer their help, instead of saying... "Er I am not free..." etc. I personally have few friends like this. My gang la... who else? Ask me whether I am satisfy? Of course I do. It's always better to have a true friend than 10 "just friend". =)

5th: Love...

Love... love is sweet, love is scary.. too. I won't deny that when I'm in a relationship love will go parallel with my family. But at this point of time... I just want to focus on my career. Regarding love... when fate comes, it comes. There's nothing I can do. Just let it be. =)

But honestly! I really wish that I can find someone who willing to support me in whatever that I will be doing. Listen to me when I'm frustrated, console me and cheer me when I'm sad, and of course, willing to share her happiness with me. Really have no idea when only can I meet the "right one"? I hope is the next one. ;)

Having ranked them... I would say that each of them are all important to me. Really no offence one to another yeah... hehe.

Deep Apologise to My Little Blog...

I realize that I've stopped blogging for like... almost a year. Yeah close to. But recently I really feel like starting to blog again. You see... I'm just so inconsistent.

Anyway, got myself a nice phone - N85, which captures really good pics. =) So I guess I have enough reasons to blog again.

I'm planning to include what I'll be doing, what are my thoughts at different moment... until the age of 25. I would include a counter until the day to come - which is 14th October 2012. My purpose of doing so... of course, is to see whether have I achieve what I've been telling people that around me, which is... to be succeed by the age of 25. I know it's not easy, but no worries. I am not a blind person. I know what I am doing. =)

Lastly, I hope this blog would records down my stories along my life till the age of 25. And I've decided to rename it to

"the journey to 25"!

So being a friend of mine, I hope you guys can support me fully and have the best wishes to me =)

Anyway, just finished my FInals. Looking forward to earn 10k in this 3 months holidays. Thought of opening up a business but have no capital...

My First Time as Cigarettes Seller

Last week I was prompt by Wong Hon to work for his sister as a supervisor in selling cigarettes. The reason why I took this job was because the pay is quite high (so far the highest to me) and the working hour is short, from 6pm to 2am. I just cannot believe myself that, on one hand, I do hate smokers (wei hoe no offence okay? -.-"), and on another hand, I selling cigarettes to others.

ANyway, the venue was at MINES Convention Center. Somewhere which took me half an hour to get there from Mines Shopping Complex (I lost...). Once I reached there, WOW, damn a lot of chicks. Yeah there were 62 girls would be selling cigarettes on the 2 days. Yes you did not see wrongly nor I typo, there were 62 girls, on which 50 are under my agent and the other 12 are under another agency. You all know what? I felt like I was one of the judges for the Miss Malaysia event lor on that night. Lol... I have to admit that those girls are really pretty. Cigarettes girls mah.

Anyway, my task on that night, was not only selling cigarettes, I had to look after these girls as they face the risk of being sexually harrassted by the guests on that night. Indeed there were such cases happened. Sometimes it's just so helpless... You want to work at night club, you have to "sid dai" a bit lor...

BAck to topic, it was actually a 2 nights event, organised by KENT, a brand which under the BAT. They rented one section of the hall and designed it like a night club, where all invited youths would come and enjoy the music and drinks for FREE, through out the whole night. I was being positioned next to the bar, carrying my little nikon bag with all the cigarettes inside. Who ever wanna get the new cigarettes would ask from the girls and they would approach me for that. I've been standing there for like... the whole night from the beginning of the event till the end. Kononnya "One night stand".

The most char dou thing was... There was this guy who kept on disturbing my girlS. Not one buy many of them. He damn pintai 1, I kept on blocked him from talking and hugging those girls. End up he dulan me and gave me a kiss on my neck unexpectedly and said.

"You know you are blocking me from talking to the girls?"

Dai lou... who you think you are?! %$@#^ him.... Dunno whether got AIDS or not. He called himself as "Richie". Tiu, think he damn rich like that.

Don't ask me to post those girls' pics. I didnt take any pic of them. Just a video and some randoms pictures of the venue. Check them out ba!

Half Day Trip to Kelantan - From Cameron

Today is the second last day I'll be staying in Cameron. So sister promised to bring me to this place famous for its "Tin Kai" (frog) porridge. The place is called "Gua Musang". In fact, this place is located at Kelantan - A small town which takes you one hour plus journey from Cameron Highland.

So we started our jorney at 8am in the morning. By the time we reached there it was already 10am (Can you believe that we actually drove 2 hours for our breakfast?). Along the way, there are many road side stalls which sell rambutan and durian. All these are truely "Kampong fruits". They are cheap and yet, superb delicious. We ate 7 durians at a stall on the spot after our breakfsat, and guess what? It only costed us Rm15! It's just impossible to get such a price @ town! Even D24 durians are not comparable with this!

Besides eating durians, on our way back to Cameron, we also stopped by another road side stall which sells dragon fruits. Don't know what is dragon fruits? Look!

Again, it was all so CHEAP! Rm4/kg! (KL here sells it for rm8/kg).

Then after that we went to a hot spring nearby, ya really a hot spring, but too bad we cannot soak ourselve into the water as it's just so dirty. According to my brother in law, elephants would come here and shower at night. (dunno real or not 1...)

It's really famous to make "half-boiled egg" there. So we bought eggs and throw all into the hot water.

No matter how long u leave the egg in the water, it would still remain "half boiled". Cool huh?

Ya looks quite "disgusting", buthen, very nice leh! I'm sorry la just too lazy to type. I just uploaded these photos to share with you all. Wait for my next update bah. :)
