One of my new year's resolutions is to be fitter and keep in shape.

Everybody set this kind of goals every year, but we know it's not always easy to fulfill our dream especially when it comes to diet and fitness.

However, it might be a different story if we could have a chance of working out in a cool-looking, bodybuilder-vibed gym.

Here is my story about WOW Fitness, one of the best gyms in Ulsan city.

The WOW Fitness is located on the 7F in this building(see below), which is in Sung-nam dong, Ulsan.

After parking my car on the B1F, I went up to the 7F by the elevator.

Just when the elevator opened, the gym door popped up like the below.

'Since 2007'... hmmm quite a long history for a fitness center in this economic turmoil.

The gym's reception desk looked modern and cool, and somewhat cozy..

This is the price table(see above) and is a surprise to me because gyms in Korea do not generally put up the wall this kind of a price table in public.

I paid 240,000\ and got a 3 months membership card.

The best thing is the gym has the river view through its windows so people on the treadmills can enjoy the night view of Ulsan city.

Basically, the WOW has very wide free-weight zones, compared to other gyms in Korean on average. and not surprisingly it boasts many different kinds of machine. so people can avoid waiting for their turns.

In this gym it's not hard to see a lot of bodybuilders working out very hard.

if you like this kinda vibe, WOW Fitness is the best choice in Ulsan.

Yon-An sikdang / kko-mak(cockles) restaurant / Sam-San / Ulsan city

It has been a fortnight since 2019 the new year's sun showed up over the blue sky.

I said "blue sky", but I know nobody will agree because a torrent of fine dust invasions have dirt all the sky from last week.

Amid this terrible air pollution, I need something special to appetite my mouth and help shed stress.

This(see above) is where I went to yesterday, which is a Xi Terrace Garden in Sam-San dong in Ulsan city.

This building has a bunch of good restaurants inside so I am going to tell you about them next time soon.

Anyway, I(and some of my coworkers) walked along this garden way to the today's restaurant, Yon-An sikdang.

We finally arrived at the Yon-An, and this is its exterior. Definitely it looks like a franchise brand, with typical standing banners and printed food pictures....

Actually Yon-An is a rising star in the popular dining market quite recently. One of my coworkers said the sikdang made a big hit even in Seoul last year.

So what's the secret of its success? Man, This is the secret.

You are now seeing the restaurant's signature dish "Kko-mak Bibimbap", a rice bowl with a plate of spicy pepper seasoned kko-mak(shell-less cockles).

Make sure add certain drips of sesame oil onto the rice bowl, for thicker flavor, and
Let's mix up the rice and kko-mak!! :)

We ordered two other side-dished(see below),

Pa-jeon(left) and Han-chi-hoe-mutchim(right).

Pa-jeon is a traditional and still popular common side dish in Korea and it is a kind of pancake with buchu(green vegi), sea foods(shrimp, squid, etc.), and eggs. Dipping Soy sauce goes well together.

and Hanchihoe mutchim is a spicy salad of chopped raw fish, veggies, and noodle.

This day I had this grand luncheon with my coworkers.... You understand what I mean.
So tasty!

Unfortunately, I felt guilty of eating too much of carbs and spicy ones even though I was on a strict diet. :((

Still, it was delicious and giving myself a guilt trip sometimes can be a good trigger for another resolution. Justifiable? I donno.

Yon Un Dang / Desert cafe / PNU / Busan city

Today's post is about a trendy desert cafe of Sherbet in Busan city.

It's name is Yon Un Dang, one of the hot desert cafes in Korea and on the social media.

This is it's PNU branch(부산대점), which is located near Jang-Jeon subway St.

The exterior has something that can be easily found out in trendy Japanese cafes, so called "vintage vibe", especially with the light bulbs and wooden-framed windows.

It is no wonder that this cafe boasts its "vintage" style, considering that it serves Sherbet, soup, and sweets all cooked in the modern Japanese fashion.

Among a variety of Japanese style Sherbets, you can choose the bowl by 'choco', 'matcha', 'strawberries', 'blueberries', 'cubic cheese', 'coffee', and 'mango'.

They serve really beautiful decorations on each Sherbet bowl and the taste is politely sweat(less sweat than Korean style Sherbet 'Pat-bing-su').

This is a X-large version of Sherbet(a sincere apology to me for the late serving).

As you see, they also serve coffee, sweat potato(yummy!), and soup(not yet eaten).

This cafe is a two-story building, so you can take the terrace table on the 2nd floor and enjoy the view of subway track and little stream. (warning: fine dust)

Salon de Bonheur / bakery / PNU / Busan city

Salon de Bonheur is one of the best local bakeries in Busan city.

It is located near the main gate of PNU(Pusan National Univ.).

Since I am living at the PNU town, the bakery has become one of my favorite spots in this area.

This is the exterior of the bakery building, of which the all floors belong to it.

You can see the tree and decorations because the Christmas is around the corner.

The owner Lee heung-yong(his name is carved on the cornerstone) is not only a well-known baker and patissier, but also a successful businessman.

He was bestowed 'Master' title from the government.

He runs the business through several branches, among which the HQ branch is located in Gu-Seo dong(also near PNU) and others are in a bunch of Shinsegae dept. stores nationwide.
