<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>What Your Brand Colors Are Communicating To Your Audience</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’re planning a brand photoshoot — or if you’re right in the middle of a rebrand — and realizing your brand colors were something you kind of… made up on the spot — you’re not alone.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Seriously. So many of my clients tell me, “I just picked colors I liked on Pinterest,” or “I found a cute Canva template and went with those.”<br><br>And there’s <strong>nothing</strong> wrong with that.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But when it comes time to plan your brand shoot — or update your visuals during a rebrand — that’s when the questions start creeping in: Do I like my brand colors? How do I choose new brand colors that reflect my current brand?</p>

<div style="height:25px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Clients often find themselves asking questions like:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">Do my brand colors still represent my brand?<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Do they feel like <em>me</em>?<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Is my brand currently attracting the right people?<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px">How do I create brand colors that people will feel drawn to?<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px">What are the best brand colors for my business?<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px">How do I choose the brand colors that communicate my values?</li>
</ul>

<div style="height:25px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">This is exactly where color psychology can help — and don’t worry, I’m keeping it simple and easy to understand.</p>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Color Psychology 101 (Without the Overwhelm)</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Color psychology is the idea that different colors evoke different emotions or responses.<br>It’s why navy blue can feel calm and trustworthy, while bright red feels bold and high-energy.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">We <em>feel</em> colors before we process them.<br>Which means when someone lands on your website, your Instagram, or even sees your outfit in a brand photo — your colors are already speaking for you.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">If they’re not sending the right message, or they don’t reflect the energy your dream clients are craving — something might feel “off,” even if they can’t explain why.</p>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Before You Choose or Keep Your Brand Colors, Ask Yourself:</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>How do I want my dream clients to feel when they see my brand?</strong><br><br>Calm? Energized? Supported? Inspired? Seen?<br><br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>What are my dream clients craving more of in their life or business?</strong><br><br>If they’re feeling chaotic and burned out, bold, loud colors might not resonate.<br>If they’re seeking motivation and momentum, soft neutrals might not spark the energy they need.<br><br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>Do my current colors reflect that?</strong><br><br>This is a big one — because your brand colors should support the <em>direction</em> you&#8217;re growing into, not just reflect where you’ve been.<br></li>
</ul>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />

<h4 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/27a1.png" alt="➡" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Want support building a brand identity that always brings in dream clients? <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Real-Life Examples: What Your Colors Can Communicate</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px"><strong>EXAMPLE 1:</strong> Let’s say you’re a therapist who works with people navigating PTSD, anxiety, or past trauma.<br>Your dream clients are craving emotional safety and a sense of calm.<br><br>Colors that feel soft, warm, and grounding — like muted greens, creams, blush tones, or soft blues — might help them feel more at ease when they land on your site or see your photos.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px"><strong>EXAMPLE 2:</strong> Now let’s say you’re a life coach who helps women stop playing small, live more boldly, and take up space in their lives and careers. Your dream clients are likely craving confidence, energy, and courage.<br><br>In this case, a bolder color palette — think jewel tones, saturated hues, or bright accent pieces — might feel more aligned with their desired transformation.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px"><strong>EXAMPLE 3:</strong> And if you&#8217;re a creative entrepreneur or wellness coach whose vibe is playful, expressive, and full of light-hearted energy?<br><br>A color palette with bright pastels, sun-kissed oranges, or fresh greens might be exactly the kind of vibe that draws your audience in.</p>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Your Brand Colors in Action (Even If You Don’t Wear Them 24/7)</strong></h3>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:18px">*<strong>Want to learn how to choose the best outfits for your brand photoshoot? <a href="https://heykristamarie.com/best-branding-session-outfits/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">This blog post</a> has my tips!</strong>*</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Here’s something important to remember: you don’t need to wear your brand colors in every photo for them to make an impact.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">You can absolutely wear muted neutrals in your brand session — like creams, grays, or earthy tones — and still have a bold, energetic brand by letting those brighter colors show up elsewhere.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example:</p>

<div style="height:25px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">A coffee mug in your brand color<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px">A bouquet of fresh flowers that match your palette<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px">A notebook, throw pillow, or backdrop accent in your bolder tones</li>
</ul>

<div style="height:25px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">These subtle details create visual consistency and help your brand colors come through — without needing to wear them head-to-toe.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And even if your brand colors aren’t something you wear often, you’ll probably start to notice that you <em>do</em> feel a natural connection to them.<br><br>Once you’ve chosen them intentionally, you might catch yourself noticing those tones in your home decor, your favorite coffee shop, or the little things you’re drawn to in everyday life.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That’s not a coincidence — it’s alignment.<br>You don’t need to force your brand colors into your wardrobe. Just allow them to show up in the ways that feel most <em>you.</em><br><br></p>

<p style="font-size:18px"><strong>P.S.</strong> <strong>Want to learn more about how to seamlessly incorporate your brand colors into your brand photoshoot? Check out <a href="https://heykristamarie.com/incorporate-brand-colors-into-photoshoot/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">this blog post</a>!</strong></p>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>A Simple Color Psychology Guide to Get You Started</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Here’s a quick look at what some common colors tend to communicate:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>Blue</strong> → Trust, calm, professionalism<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>Green</strong> → Balance, growth, peace<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>Yellow</strong> → Optimism, happiness, creativity<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>Red</strong> → Passion, confidence, energy<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>Pink</strong> → Softness, compassion, femininity<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>Purple</strong> → Creativity, luxury, wisdom<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>Black/Charcoal</strong> → Elegance, sophistication, boldness<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>White/Creams</strong> → Clarity, minimalism, spaciousness<br></li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>Earth tones</strong> → Warmth, groundedness, natural</li>
</ul>

<p style="font-size:17px"><br>Keep in mind — it’s not about picking the “right” color from a list. It’s about choosing the color(s) that <em>feel</em> aligned with the transformation you create for your clients.</p>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Your Brand (+ Brand Colors) Will Evolve — and That’s a Good Thing</h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">There’s no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to branding.<br>You’re allowed to evolve. Your visuals and brand colors should, too.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">You might shift your color palette down the road — and that’s totally normal.<br>But the more intentional you can be <strong>right now</strong><em>,</em> the more confident you’ll feel showing up in your brand.</p>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Let’s Make Your Brand Photos Feel as Aligned as Your Work</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<div style="height:54px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">One of the biggest challenges I hear from business owners is:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">“How do I set myself apart when there are so many other people who do what I do?”</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">In an online world where everyone seems to be saying the same things, using the same trending sounds, and posting the same type of content, it’s easy to feel like you’re getting lost in the noise.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">So how do you create a brand that stands out? How do you position yourself so that your dream clients immediately see the difference between you and everyone else?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That’s exactly what we’re going to talk about today.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Krista_Marie_Photography-013-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48531" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Krista_Marie_Photography-013-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Krista_Marie_Photography-013-300x225.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Krista_Marie_Photography-013-768x576.jpg 768w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Krista_Marie_Photography-013-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Krista_Marie_Photography-013-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Krista_Marie_Photography-013-1600x1200.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Most Business Owners Struggle to Stand Out</strong></h2>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’ve ever found yourself scrambling to think of the perfect Instagram post, hoping it will magically bring in clients, you’re not alone.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Many business owners approach content from a place of:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">“What do I feel like sharing today?”</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">“What’s trending right now?”</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">“What performed well for other people in my industry?”</li>
</ul>

<p></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And while this might work occasionally, it’s not a sustainable way to build a brand that attracts clients effortlessly.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">The biggest mistake? Focusing on visibility instead of brand depth.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">When you’re constantly chasing trends or trying to post for quick engagement, you’re not building a recognizable, trusted brand—you’re just blending in.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How to Shift From Random Content to a Standout Brand</strong></h2>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you want to create a brand that people trust, recognize, and are excited to buy from, here’s what you need to do:</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. Stop Creating Content Based on Trends—Start Creating From Your Brand</strong></h3>

<p style="font-size:17px">Many business owners make the mistake of looking at what’s trending and trying to adapt their content to fit.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But when you do this, you’re:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">Prioritizing what Instagram’s algorithm favors instead of what actually connects with your audience.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Sounding like everyone else instead of developing a unique brand voice.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Constantly chasing what’s <em>working</em> instead of owning your expertise.</li>
</ul>

<p></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Instead, focus on creating from your own brand message.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Ask yourself:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">“What does my dream client need to hear today?”</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">“How can I say this in a way that feels fresh and different?”</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">“What perspective or experience do I have that no one else does?”</li>
</ul>

<p></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">When you create content that is rooted in your unique point of view, it becomes instantly more engaging, memorable, and powerful.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. Shift the Focus From “I” to “You”</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">A lot of content online sounds like this:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">“I do this.”</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">“I help with that.”</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">“I became a coach/photographer/designer because…”</li>
</ul>

<p></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">While it’s great to share your story, too much “I” content can make it harder for your audience to see themselves in your posts.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Instead, shift your focus to them<strong>.</strong></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example, instead of:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/274c.png" alt="❌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> “I became a wedding photographer because I love capturing love stories.”</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Try this:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2705.png" alt="✅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> “Your wedding day deserves photos that feel like <em>you</em>—not just posed moments, but real, genuine memories.”</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That simple shift instantly makes the post more engaging and relevant to your dream client.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. Change Your Perspective-Shifting Posts From Basic to Captivating</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you want your content to stand out, it needs to do more than just educate—it should change the way your audience thinks about something.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">A lot of people stick to surface-level educational posts, like:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">“5 Reasons You Should Do a First Look at Your Wedding”</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">“Why You Need Branding Photos for Your Business”</li>
</ul>

<p></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But these types of posts are everywhere.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Instead, take it a level deeper by telling a story that shifts their perspective.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example, instead of:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/274c.png" alt="❌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> “5 Reasons to Do a First Look”</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Try this:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2705.png" alt="✅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> “The Biggest Regret My Bride Had After Skipping a First Look”</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">This immediately makes people want to read more.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">It creates curiosity and positions you as an expert who knows the real-life impact of these decisions—not just someone listing generic advice.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4. Make Your Audience See Themselves in Your Content</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">One of the best ways to create content that resonates? Paint a picture that helps your dream client visualize themselves working with you.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example, instead of simply listing the benefits of your service, tell a story that brings the experience to life.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Let’s say you’re a brand photographer. Instead of saying:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/274c.png" alt="❌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> “Professional brand photos help you show up with confidence online.”</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Try this:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2705.png" alt="✅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> “Imagine logging into Instagram and never wondering what to post again—because you have a full library of brand photos that make you look and feel like the pro you are.”</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That slight shift in wording helps potential clients picture the transformation they’ll experience, making them more likely to take action.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>5. Focus on Creating a Stronger Brand, Not Just More Content</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">At the end of the day, posting more isn’t the answer.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">The goal isn’t to create content just for the sake of posting—it’s to create a brand that is clear, consistent, and recognizable.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">To do that, you need to:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">Clarify what you want to be known for. What makes you different? What’s your unique approach?</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Speak directly to your dream client. Shift your messaging so they can see themselves in your content.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Create from a place of strategy, not trends. Focus on long-term brand building instead of short-term engagement boosts.</li>
</ul>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Final Takeaway: Stand Out by Owning Your Message</strong></h2>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you take away one thing from this post, let it be this:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Your brand won’t stand out by trying to be <em>like</em> everyone else. It will stand out when you confidently own your unique voice, perspective, and expertise.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">So instead of asking, “What’s trending today?” start asking:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">“What do my dream clients need to hear from me?”</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">“How can I say this in a way that sounds fresh and different?”</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">“What’s the deeper transformation I provide that no one else is talking about?”</li>
</ul>

<p style="font-size:17px">That’s how you create a brand that people recognize, trust, and can’t wait to buy from.</p>

<div style="height:45px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://heykristamarie.com/coaching" target="_blank" rel=" noreferrer noopener"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1200" height="100" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48768" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2.jpg 1200w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2-300x25.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2-1024x85.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2-768x64.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></a></figure>

<div style="height:54px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’re heading into 2025 feeling the pressure to map out the <em>perfect</em> business strategy, you’re not alone.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Every year, business owners start with big goals, detailed plans, and the belief that <em>this</em> will be the year they finally streamline everything.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But often, by mid-year (or even sooner), those plans start to feel overwhelming, clients aren’t coming in as easily as expected, and things feel just as chaotic as before.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">So how do you create a business strategy that not only works but also <em>feels</em> aligned and stress-free?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That’s exactly what we’re diving into today.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-1-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48462" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-1-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-1-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-1-1600x1200.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Most Business Plans Fail</strong></h2>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">I’ve been in business for over fifteen years, and I’ve seen the same cycle play out over and over again—both in my own business and with my clients.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">At the start of a new year, it’s easy to feel the need to control everything:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">Mapping out every step in detail.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Trying to predict exactly how clients will come in.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Holding on <em>so</em> tightly to goals that there’s no room for unexpected opportunities.</li>
</ul>

<p></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But here’s the reality:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Business growth doesn’t follow a perfect roadmap.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">When you get too attached to <em>how</em> things need to happen, you start believing that if one part of your plan doesn’t work, then <em>nothing</em> is working.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That’s why the key to a business plan that actually works is balance—having structure while still allowing space for things to evolve naturally.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3 Key Areas to Focus On in Your 2025 Business Strategy</strong></h2>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Instead of creating an overcomplicated plan that’s impossible to follow, focus on these three key areas to build a business strategy that is both effective and sustainable.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. Decide What You Want to Be Known For</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">One of the biggest reasons businesses struggle to gain traction is because they aren’t <em>memorable</em>.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you want to attract more clients with ease, you need to become known for something <em>specific</em>.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example, if you’re a brand photographer, you don’t just want to be <em>a</em> brand photographer—you want to be <strong>the</strong> photographer known for a unique experience, style, or approach.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Maybe you’re the photographer who:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">Always incorporates movement to create dynamic, natural photos.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Specializes in creating brand images that feel editorial and high-end.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Makes every session a fun, celebration-filled experience.</li>
</ul>

<p></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">When people think of your industry, your name should be the <em>first</em> one that comes to mind for something specific.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><strong>Action step:</strong> Write down three things that make your business unique. How can you lean into them more in your branding, content, and client experience?</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. Plan Your Content to Warm Up Your Audience Before You Sell</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Most business owners wait until they’re launching something to start selling—which means they’re constantly starting from scratch when promoting offers.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Instead, you need to be priming your audience ahead of time so that when your offer is live, they’re already interested.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example, let’s say you’re a photographer planning to offer mini sessions in three months.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Instead of waiting until your launch to start talking about it, you should already be creating content that leads into it, such as:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">How much variety you can get in a short session.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">How to make quick outfit changes on location.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Why mini sessions are great for fresh, seasonal content updates.</li>
</ul>

<p></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That way, by the time you officially launch, your audience is already warmed up and ready to book.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><strong>Action step:</strong> Look at your planned offers for 2025. What content can you start sharing now to build demand for them?</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. Make Sure Your Offer Funnel Supports Your Income Goals</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">A lot of business owners set ambitious revenue goals—without making sure their offers actually support those goals.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">If your pricing and offers don’t align with how much you want to make, you’re going to feel like you’re constantly chasing sales and struggling to hit your numbers.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">If your only offer is a $200 service, you’d need <strong>500</strong> sales to hit a six-figure year.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">If your main offer is a $3,000 package, you’d only need <strong>34</strong> sales to reach six figures.</li>
</ul>

<p></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That’s why it’s crucial to structure your offers in a way that makes sense for your goals.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">You also need to make sure your offers naturally lead into each other.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example, instead of just having one signature service, you might also add:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">A lower-priced entry offer to bring in new clients who aren’t ready to invest in full services yet.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">A mid-tier offer that provides more in-depth support at a higher price point.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">A premium-level offer for those who want a full, high-touch experience.</li>
</ul>

<p></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">This way, you’re not relying on just one offer to generate all your income—you’re guiding clients through a journey where they naturally move from one service to the next.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><strong>Action step:</strong> Look at your offer funnel. Are there any major gaps? Do you have options for clients at different stages of their journey with you?</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Final Thoughts: Keep It Simple, Keep It Aligned</strong></h2>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you take away one thing from this post, let it be this:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">A strong business strategy doesn’t have to be complicated—but it does need to be intentional.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Instead of trying to control every outcome, focus on:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">Becoming known for something specific.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Warming up your audience before you launch an offer.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Structuring your offer funnel to align with your income goals.</li>
</ul>

<p></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And most importantly?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Leave space for the unexpected.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Because some of the biggest business breakthroughs happen when you least expect them.</p>

<div style="height:54px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’ve ever felt frustrated because dream clients keep passing you over and choosing your competition, I want you to ask yourself this:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f449.png" alt="👉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Do you have a rock-solid strategy for reaching your dream clients, or are you just “winging it” when it comes to your content?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Because here’s the truth: Every successful brand has a clear content strategy.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">It’s not about having the most <em>aesthetic</em> Instagram grid or the most <em>perfectly curated</em> brand colors. While those things can support your brand, they are not what makes clients want to work with you.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">What does? Your messaging. Your content. Your ability to show up and consistently connect with your dream clients in a way that makes them see you as <em>the</em> person they want to hire.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’ve been putting content creation on the back burner, this post is going to help you change that—so you can build a brand that <em>actually</em> stands out, attracts clients, and does the selling for you.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Heather-051-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48827" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Heather-051-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Heather-051-300x225.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Heather-051-768x576.jpg 768w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Heather-051-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Heather-051-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Heather-051-1600x1200.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Hard Truth I Had to Admit to Myself About My Own Business</strong></h2>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">About eight months ago, I had a major realization.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">I had to get <em>radically honest</em> with myself about why I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And the truth?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">I had been making excuse after excuse about why I wasn’t showing up consistently.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a9.png" alt="🚩" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> <em>“What’s the point of posting stories? It’s the same people watching, and they’re not my dream clients.”</em><br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a9.png" alt="🚩" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> <em>“Instagram’s engagement is terrible right now—why bother?”</em><br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a9.png" alt="🚩" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> <em>“I don’t know what to say that will make people want to work with me.”</em></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Sound familiar?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">I was blaming everything but myself for why things weren’t moving. I was focusing on the <em>wrong</em> things—engagement numbers, algorithm changes, and external factors I couldn’t control.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But here’s what I had to realize:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">If I wasn’t consistently creating content, I wasn’t doing the minimum work required to get the results I wanted.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That was <em>on me</em>—not the algorithm.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That wake-up call changed <em>everything</em>. I stopped focusing on what wasn’t working and started focusing on what I could control: showing up consistently, creating valuable content, and actually <em>connecting</em> with my dream clients.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And when I made that shift? My business started growing again—fast.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Most Business Owners Struggle to Build a Brand That Stands Out</strong></h2>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Here’s what I see happening all the time:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You want to build a strong personal brand.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You know you need to show up online.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> But instead of focusing on your messaging and content strategy, you focus on <em>the visuals</em>.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You spend hours tweaking your website design.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You buy the prettiest Canva templates for social media.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You curate the perfect Instagram aesthetic.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And then? When it comes time to actually write posts and show up consistently… you freeze.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Because while visuals <em>help</em>, they’re not the foundation of a successful brand.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">The foundation is your messaging—your ability to communicate why you do what you do, how you help, and why your dream clients should choose you.</p>

<div style="height:45px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How to Fix This &amp; Start Attracting More Clients</strong></h2>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you want to build a brand that <em>actually</em> attracts dream clients, you need to shift your focus from <em>how things look</em> to what you’re saying and how consistently you’re showing up.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Here are four questions to ask yourself to start creating content that actually converts:</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. What Do My Dream Clients Need to Know Before They Work With Me?</strong></h3>

<p style="font-size:17px">Most people won’t hire you just because you have interesting offers<strong> </strong>—they need to go through a mental shift first.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> If you’re a health coach, they need to understand that <em>another round of dieting isn’t the solution they need.</em><br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> If you’re a brand photographer, they need to realize that <em>losing weight isn’t necessary to have confidence on camera.</em><br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> If you’re a business coach, they need to stop believing that <em>they need more followers before they can make more money.</em></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Your job is to create content that helps them reframe their limiting beliefs and see why your solution is <em>exactly</em> what they need.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. What’s One Thing That Would Completely Transform My Client’s Life If They Understood It?</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Think about the biggest lightbulb moment your clients have when working with you.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">What’s that one shift that, when they finally <em>get it</em>, changes everything?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">This is what your content should focus on.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2705.png" alt="✅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> A website designer might share, <em>“Your website isn’t just a digital business card—it should be your hardest-working salesperson and bring in clients 24/7.”</em><br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2705.png" alt="✅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> A photographer might say, <em>“Your brand photos aren’t just for your website—they are a statement of trust between you and your future clients.&#8221;</em></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">When you share content that leads to <em>real</em> mindset shifts, you instantly build authority and trust.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. What’s Holding My Dream Clients Back From Taking Action?</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If someone isn’t booking with you, there’s a reason.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Are they scared to invest? Do they think they need to be “more ready”? Are they overwhelmed by all their options?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Your content should directly address and overcome these objections.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> If they think they need more experience before hiring a brand strategist, create content that shows them why branding <em>now</em> will help them grow faster.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> If they’re waiting to “get in shape” before booking brand photos, share a post that helps them see why confidence comes from <em>embracing who they are now</em>.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">The more you can identify and break down their hesitations, the easier it becomes for them to say yes.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<div style="height:0px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4. How Can I Commit to Creating Content Consistently?</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you want to see real results, content creation needs to be a non-negotiable part of your business.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But consistency doesn’t mean posting every day—it means showing up on a schedule you can commit to.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> If you can post 5x a week? Great!<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> If 2-3x a week feels more sustainable? That works too!</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">The key is building the habit—so that even when motivation fades, you’re still showing up and building trust with your audience.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Final Takeaway: Prioritize Your Content, and Your Brand Will Grow Faster</strong></h2>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you want more visibility and more clients in 2025, it starts <em>here</em>:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f680.png" alt="🚀" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Prioritize your content.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f680.png" alt="🚀" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Focus on your messaging.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f680.png" alt="🚀" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Commit to showing up consistently.</p>

<div style="height:54px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Have you ever had a potential client tell you, “I found someone cheaper” or “You’re out of my<em> </em>budget”?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">It’s frustrating, right? You know your offers and services are worth the investment, but hearing these objections can make you second-guess everything—your pricing, your offers, and even your ability to attract the right clients.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">So, how do you stop attracting price shoppers and start booking dream clients who happily pay your rates without hesitation?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That’s exactly what we’re diving into in this episode and blog post.</p>

<div style="height:54px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/02/2023Krista96-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48846" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/02/2023Krista96-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/02/2023Krista96-300x200.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/02/2023Krista96-768x512.jpg 768w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/02/2023Krista96-1536x1025.jpg 1536w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/02/2023Krista96-1600x1067.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:53px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Your Pricing Isn’t the Real Problem</strong></h2>

<div style="height:33px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">When potential clients say they’re going with someone cheaper, your first instinct might be to lower your prices, offer discounts, or add more to your packages.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But here’s the truth: 99% of the time, it’s not actually about your pricing.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">The real issue? A disconnect between the perceived value of your offer and what your clients actually understand about it.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">If your dream clients don’t fully grasp the transformation or results your service provides, their brain immediately defaults to: “It’s too expensive”—not because it <em>is</em>, but because they don’t see why it’s worth it.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">So, instead of questioning your pricing, let’s focus on fixing that disconnect.</p>

<div style="height:54px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3 Ways to Get Dream Clients Who See Your Value and Pay Without Hesitation</strong></h2>

<div style="height:33px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p class="has-text-align-center" style="font-size:17px">If you’re tired of attracting price shoppers, here’s how to shift your brand so that only the right people show up—ready and willing to invest.</p>

<div style="height:33px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. Fully Back and Believe in Your Pricing</strong></h3>

<div style="height:33px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px"><strong>If you don’t feel confident in your pricing, you can&#8217;t expect your clients to.</strong></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Ask yourself:</p>

<div style="height:10px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">Do you believe in the value of your services?</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Can you say your pricing out loud without hesitation?</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Do you secretly feel like you need to justify your rates?</li>
</ul>

<div style="height:20px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">When you’re not fully confident in your pricing, you’ll find yourself over-explaining, listing out everything included in your offer, or even whispering the price like you don’t want to say it too loud.</p>

<div style="height:10px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">So, before you focus on anything else, do a confidence check:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Are your prices aligned with the value you provide?<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Do they reflect your experience, expertise, and transformation you deliver?<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Can you state them clearly without feeling the need to “justify” them?</p>

<div style="height:10px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">When you fully back your pricing, your energy shifts—and that confidence makes potential clients feel safe investing in you.</p>

<div style="height:54px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. Speak to What Your Dream Clients Are Actually Thinking</strong></h3>

<div style="height:33px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Most business owners make the mistake of selling their offers using vague, overused buzzwords instead of speaking directly to what their clients are experiencing.</p>

<div style="height:10px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example, saying things like:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/274c.png" alt="❌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> “Book with me for an unforgettable experience.”<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/274c.png" alt="❌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> “This will take your business to the next level.”<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/274c.png" alt="❌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> “I help you elevate your brand.”</p>

<div style="height:10px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Those sound nice, but what do those phrases actually mean?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Your dream clients aren’t waking up thinking, “I need to elevate my brand today!” They’re thinking about their real struggles, like:</p>

<div style="height:10px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">“I need to figure out how to raise my prices and still book clients.”</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">“I want to show up on IG today, but I&#8217;m tired of re-using the same photos over and over again.”</li>
</ul>

<div style="height:20px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">See the difference?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">When your messaging speaks to what your dream clients are actually feeling, it creates an instant connection. They don’t need to be convinced—they just know you’re the right choice.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><strong>Action step:</strong> Take a look at your website, Instagram, or sales page. Are you using generic, overused phrases or buzzwords? How can you make your messaging more specific and relatable?</p>

<div style="height:54px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. Stop Trying to Convince Price Shoppers—Focus on Attracting the Right Clients</strong></h3>

<div style="height:33px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">There will always be people who are only looking for the cheapest option—and that’s okay. They’re not your people.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">The mistake? Trying to convince them to see your value.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">When you start shifting your energy toward attracting the right clients instead of chasing the wrong ones, everything changes.</p>

<div style="height:10px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Here’s how to do it:<br><br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> <strong>Create content that positions you as the expert.</strong> Instead of just sharing what you offer, talk about why it’s valuable and how it impacts your clients&#8217; lives.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> <strong>Use social proof.</strong> Show off testimonials and client transformations to prove your results.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> <strong>Make your brand look and feel premium.</strong> If your website and content don’t reflect the level of investment you’re asking for, clients won’t either.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> <strong>Let go of clients who don’t value your work.</strong> If someone says you’re too expensive, wish<em> </em>them well and move on<em>.</em> The right people will pay you.</p>

<div style="height:10px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Once you stop wasting time on price shoppers and focus on attracting aligned clients, you’ll see a massive shift in your business.</p>

<div style="height:54px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Final Thoughts: Chasing Price Shoppers vs. Easily Attracting Dream Clients</strong></h2>

<div style="height:33px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’re ready to start booking clients who never question your rates, here’s what you should focus on:</p>

<div style="height:10px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<ol class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>Fully own and believe in your pricing.</strong> When you’re confident, your clients will be too.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>Refine your messaging to speak directly to your dream clients.</strong> Ditch the vague buzzwords and get specific about what they actually need.</li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><strong>Stop trying to convince price shoppers of your value—focus on calling in clients who already value your work.</strong></li>
</ol>

<div style="height:10px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">When you start implementing these shifts, you’ll notice fewer inquiries from people looking for “cheap” pricing and more dream clients saying, “I don’t care what it costs—I know I need to work with you.”</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And that’s the magic of a brand that sells for you.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And as always, remember: <strong>You deserve a brand that does all the selling for you.</strong></p>

<div style="height:45px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://heykristamarie.com/coaching" target="_blank" rel=" noreferrer noopener"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1200" height="100" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48768" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2.jpg 1200w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2-300x25.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2-1024x85.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2-768x64.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></a></figure>

<div style="height:45px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Here&#8217;s how we can work together in 2025:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"></p>

<div style="height:54px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If one of your big goals for 2025 is to get more visible in your business, you’re not alone.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">I hear this from so many business owners:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f4ac.png" alt="💬" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> <em>“I need to get more eyes on my business.”</em><br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f4ac.png" alt="💬" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> <em>“I feel like no one knows I exist.”</em><br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f4ac.png" alt="💬" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> <em>“I just need more people finding me.”</em></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And while visibility <em>is</em> important, most business owners approach it completely backward.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">In today’s post, I’m breaking down:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> What visibility actually means (and what it doesn’t).<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Why chasing visibility won’t necessarily get you more clients.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> The best strategies to grow your brand <em>without</em> relying on Instagram.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’re tired of spinning your wheels trying to get noticed, this post is for you.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Visibility Shouldn’t Be Your First Goal</strong></h2>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Most people think, <em>“If I could just get more people to see my business, I’d be booked out.”</em></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But here’s the problem:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a9.png" alt="🚩" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> More visibility doesn’t automatically mean more sales.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a9.png" alt="🚩" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Going viral won’t help if your brand isn’t built to convert.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a9.png" alt="🚩" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Attracting more people won’t matter if they’re not the <em>right</em> people.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">This is why visibility shouldn’t be the first thing you focus on.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">What you <em>actually</em> need first is:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2705.png" alt="✅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> A solid foundation—a business that already brings in clients consistently.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2705.png" alt="✅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Clear, compelling messaging that speaks directly to your dream clients.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2705.png" alt="✅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> A client experience that makes people <em>excited</em> to work with you and refer you.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Visibility should come after you’ve built the foundation.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Because if your business isn’t already converting a small audience, adding <em>more</em> people to the mix won’t magically fix things.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That’s why my focus with clients is always:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f4cc.png" alt="📌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> First, build a business that converts.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f4cc.png" alt="📌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Then, focus on scaling and visibility.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But if you <em>do</em> have that foundation in place, and you’re ready to grow? Let’s talk about the best ways to increase your visibility in 2025.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How to Get More Visible (Beyond Instagram)</strong></h2>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Most people think visibility = posting more on Instagram.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/274c.png" alt="❌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Nope.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">There are so many better ways to get in front of new audiences—ones that are more sustainable and bring in <em>warmer</em> leads.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Here’s what I recommend instead:</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. Shift Your Focus From &#8220;More People&#8221; to &#8220;More Depth&#8221;</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Instead of asking, <em>“How can I reach more people?”</em> ask:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f4a1.png" alt="💡" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> “How can I go deeper with the audience I already have?”</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Because when you create a <em>strong</em> community, they naturally:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Engage more.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Refer you to others.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Become your biggest advocates.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">The stronger the connection, the easier it is to sell.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> <strong>Action Step:</strong></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px">Look at your current audience—how can you deepen the relationship?</li>

<li style="font-size:17px">Maybe that means starting a private Instagram channel, a Facebook group, or a weekly live series to create stronger engagement.</li>
</ul>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. Stop Thinking of Instagram as Your Only Visibility Strategy</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Instagram is <strong>one</strong> tool—but it shouldn’t be your <em>only</em> one.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Here are better ways to grow your brand:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Podcasting – Start your own or pitch yourself as a guest. Podcasts introduce you to new audiences while letting people hear your expertise in a deeper way.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> YouTube or Long-Form Video – If you love video, YouTube is amazing for <em>evergreen visibility</em> (your videos work for you <em>forever</em>, unlike Instagram posts).<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Email Marketing – Your email list should be your most engaged audience. Focus on growing and nurturing it.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Collaborations &amp; Feature<strong>s</strong> – Get featured in blogs, interviews, or industry roundups. This boosts credibility and gets you in front of <em>aligned</em> audiences.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> SEO &amp; Blogging – Unlike Instagram, Google searches don’t disappear. A strong blog strategy = clients finding you <em>without</em> you constantly marketing.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Action Step<strong>:</strong> Choose <em>one</em> of these non-Instagram strategies to focus on in 2025.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. Leverage Lead Magnets &amp; Free Offers the <em>Right</em> Way</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">A lead magnet (freebie) is a great way to attract new people—but most business owners don’t use them effectively.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Here’s what works:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Make it high value—something that makes people think, <em>“I can’t believe this was free.”</em><br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Promote it constantly<strong>.</strong> A freebie won’t work if you never talk about it.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Have a plan for what happens after. Your freebie should lead to your paid offers, not just sit there.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Action Step<strong>:</strong> If you already have a freebie, audit it: Is it attracting the right people? Are you promoting it enough? If you don’t have one, brainstorm an idea that directly leads into your offers.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4. Use Strategic Collaborations to Tap Into New Audiences</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Instead of focusing on <em>reaching the masses</em>, focus on getting in front of aligned, smaller audiences.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Some of my favorite ways to do this:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Instagram Lives &amp; Joint Reels – Partner with someone who has a similar audience and do a live or collaborative reel together.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Guest Podcasting – Pitch yourself to be interviewed on a podcast that serves your ideal clients.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Speaking Engagements (Virtual or In-Person) – Webinars, guest teaching in memberships, or local business events are great for high-trust visibility.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Guest Blog Posts – Write a valuable post for someone else’s blog and link it back to your freebie or website.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Action Step<strong>:</strong> Identify 3-5 people in your industry (or adjacent industries) who you could collaborate with in 2025.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>5. Commit to Consistency (Even When It Feels Slow)</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">The biggest mistake business owners make?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a9.png" alt="🚩" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> They start a visibility strategy… and quit after a few months.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Growth takes time.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’re launching a podcast, writing a blog, or building a YouTube channel, it takes <strong>consistent</strong> effort before you see big results.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But if you commit to showing up week after week, that’s when you build a brand that people trust.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Action Step<strong>:</strong> Ask yourself, <em>“How will I stay committed when things feel slow?”</em> Write down a plan for keeping yourself accountable.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Final Takeaway: More Visibility Starts With a Stronger Brand</strong></h2>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you take away <em>one</em> thing from this post, let it be this:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f680.png" alt="🚀" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Visibility isn’t about reaching more people—it’s about building a brand people want to follow.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">In 2025, instead of chasing <em>more</em>, focus on:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Creating deeper relationships with your audience.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Choosing one long-term strategy beyond Instagram.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Building a repeatable way to bring new people in.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Staying consistent (even when growth feels slow).</p>

<div style="height:45px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://heykristamarie.com/coaching" target="_blank" rel=" noreferrer noopener"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1200" height="100" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48768" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2.jpg 1200w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2-300x25.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2-1024x85.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2-768x64.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></a></figure>

<div style="height:45px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Getting <a href="https://heykristamarie.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>new brand photos</strong></a> is more than just crossing something off your to-do list—it’s about capturing who you are, where you’re going, and giving yourself an entire gallery of images that make you feel <em>seen</em>, <em>confident</em>, and <em>ready to show up</em> in your business.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But if you’ve ever had a photoshoot that didn’t quite hit the mark (or you’re worried about investing in one and not loving the results), I want to help you change that.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">In this post, I’m breaking down the exact strategy I use with my brand photography clients to help them create a next-level brand photoshoot—one that captures their personality, supports their business, and gives them photos they <em>love</em> using over and over again.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista71-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48822" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista71-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista71-300x200.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista71-768x512.jpg 768w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista71-1536x1025.jpg 1536w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista71-1600x1067.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Brand Photos Are More Than Just Photos</strong></h2>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">A great brand photoshoot isn’t just about getting “pretty” pictures. It’s about:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Capturing your next-level self—the version of you who’s growing, evolving, and stepping into your brand in a bigger way.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Giving you endless content variety—so you don’t feel like you’re sharing the same five photos over and over again.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Creating images that stand out—not the same staged, generic brand photos everyone else has.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And beyond that?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Brand photos are a time capsule of your growth.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Years from now, you’ll look back at them and remember the version of you who took the leap, invested in yourself, and showed up—even if you felt scared.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That alone makes the experience worth it.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-3-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48823" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-3-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-3-300x225.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-3-768x576.jpg 768w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-3-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-3-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Elizabeth_PalmSprings-251-3-1600x1200.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Biggest Fears Clients Have About Brand Shoots (And Why They’re Not True)</strong></h2>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">I’ve been a photographer for over 15 years, and almost <em>every single client</em> has told me some version of the following:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li style="font-size:17px"><em>“I&#8217;m awkward in front of the camera.”</em></li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><em>“I don’t like my smile—I’m worried it will look fake.”</em></li>

<li style="font-size:17px"><em>“I’m self-conscious about my body and not sure what poses will look good.”</em></li>
</ul>

<div style="height:23px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">And yet?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Every single one of them has walked away LOVING their photos.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Because here’s what happens when you work with a photographer who knows how to make you feel comfortable:</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You forget about the camera.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You feel natural, confident, and relaxed.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You walk away with photos that truly capture <em>you</em>.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">This is why choosing the <em>right</em> photographer (not just someone with a camera) matters so much. They should know how to pose you in ways that feel effortless and flattering. But most importantly, they should create an atmosphere where you feel safe to show up as yourself.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>5 Things You Need to Plan for a Stress-Free, Confidence-Boosting Brand Photoshoot</strong></h2>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’re investing in brand photos, you want to make sure you <em>love</em> them. Here are the five things to focus on to set yourself up for a successful shoot.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. Give Yourself Plenty of Time to Prepare</strong></h3>

<p style="font-size:17px">One of the biggest mistakes I see? Waiting until the last minute.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">When you rush the planning process, everything feels chaotic:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a8.png" alt="🚨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You’re scrambling to find outfits that work.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a8.png" alt="🚨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You’re picking a random location that might not fit your brand.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a8.png" alt="🚨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You’re showing up stressed instead of confident.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For my clients, I always recommend at least 4-6 weeks of prep time. That way, you have time to:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Plan your brand colors &amp; vibe.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Choose a location that fits your aesthetic.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Find outfits that feel like <em>you</em>.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you have a launch coming up and just <em>need</em> a few new photos? That’s fine! But don’t rush a full brand shoot—take the time to plan it well so your investment pays off.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. Choose a Location That Matches Your Brand (Without Overpowering It)</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Your shoot location can <em>make or break</em> your brand photos.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You want a space that aligns with your brand aesthetic.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You want great natural light (the more, the better!).<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You want a neutral space that allows your brand colors to stand out—without clashing.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">What NOT to do<strong>:</strong> Choose a bright teal wall just because your brand color is teal.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Why? Because then <em>every single photo</em> has a bold teal background, and it can feel overwhelming (or clash with your website). Instead, use brand colors as accents—in your clothing, props, or small background details.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f449.png" alt="👉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Best Tip<strong>:</strong> When in doubt, go for a neutral, light-filled space. It gives you flexibility and ensures your photos feel timeless.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. Pick Outfits That Feel Like an Elevated Version of You</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Your brand shoot isn’t the time to try an entirely new, unfamiliar style.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">It’s about capturing a more polished, elevated version of YOU.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Here’s what to consider:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Wear outfits that align with your brand personality. If your brand is warm, approachable, and cozy—soft fabrics and earth tones might feel right. If your brand is bold and high-energy, maybe you wear vibrant colors or structured pieces.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Don’t go too far from your real style. If you never wear blazers, don’t suddenly wear one just because it “looks professional.” You’ll feel out of place.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Think about textures. Cozy, soft fabrics feel inviting. Sleek, structured fabrics feel more formal. What fits your brand?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And always try on your outfits ahead of time! You want to make sure they fit well, make you feel confident, and align with your brand vision.</p>

<p style="font-size:19px"><strong>Want more tips about how to choose your outfits for your brand session? <a href="https://heykristamarie.com/best-branding-session-outfits/">Take</a><a href="https://heykristamarie.com/best-branding-session-outfits/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> a look at this post</a>!</strong></p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4. Get Your Hair &amp; Makeup Professionally Done (By Someone You Trust!)</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">This is <strong>not</strong> something you want to DIY the morning of your shoot.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Getting your hair and makeup done by a professional:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Takes the stress off your plate.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Ensures your look lasts throughout the shoot.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Gives you a polished, camera-ready feel (without looking overdone).</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But here’s the key: <em>Only book someone you trust.</em></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">I’ve had clients get their makeup done by someone new <em>on the day of the shoot</em>—only to look in the mirror and feel like it wasn’t them.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f449.png" alt="👉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Best Tip: If you’re working with someone new, book a trial first! That way, you know exactly how you’ll look on the big day.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Woman-standing-in-front-of-a-white-wall-wearing-a-caramel-blazer-and-smiling-at-the-camera-1-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48825" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Woman-standing-in-front-of-a-white-wall-wearing-a-caramel-blazer-and-smiling-at-the-camera-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Woman-standing-in-front-of-a-white-wall-wearing-a-caramel-blazer-and-smiling-at-the-camera-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Woman-standing-in-front-of-a-white-wall-wearing-a-caramel-blazer-and-smiling-at-the-camera-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Woman-standing-in-front-of-a-white-wall-wearing-a-caramel-blazer-and-smiling-at-the-camera-1-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Woman-standing-in-front-of-a-white-wall-wearing-a-caramel-blazer-and-smiling-at-the-camera-1-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Woman-standing-in-front-of-a-white-wall-wearing-a-caramel-blazer-and-smiling-at-the-camera-1-1600x1200.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>5. Create a Pinterest Board That Captures the FEEL of Your Photos</strong></h3>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">When planning your shoot, don’t just save a bunch of random brand photos—save ones that make you feel something.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Ask yourself:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> What mood do I want my photos to have?<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> What expressions or body language feel aligned with my brand?<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Do I want my images to feel warm, energetic, relaxed, polished?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Creating a Pinterest vision board helps your photographer understand what you’re drawn to—so they can bring that same energy to your session.</p>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Ready to Get Photos You LOVE? Here’s Your Next Step.</strong></h2>

<div style="height:35px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you take away <em>one</em> thing from this post, let it be this:</p>

<div style="height:54px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Rebranding (or branding yourself for the first time) can feel completely overwhelming.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">&#8211; <em>What do I focus on first?</em><br>&#8211; <em>Should I hire a copywriter or buy a website template?</em><br>&#8211; <em>How much is this going to cost—and will it be worth it?</em></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">I get it. I’ve been there myself. And after helping hundreds of women business owners refine and elevate their brands, I can confidently say that most people make the rebranding process way harder than it needs to be.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Today, I’m breaking down the 5 most important things you need to focus on—so you can streamline your branding (or rebranding) process and finally feel clear and confident in your business.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-077-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48536" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-077-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-077-300x200.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-077-768x512.jpg 768w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-077-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-077-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-077-1600x1067.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">What Most Business Owners Get Wrong About Branding</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Most people approach branding <em>backward</em>.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">They start with:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f4cc.png" alt="📌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> The visual side of branding—choosing colors, fonts, and Instagram templates.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f4cc.png" alt="📌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Building a website—before they even know what they want their messaging to be.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f4cc.png" alt="📌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Trying to “look” the part—without clearly defining what their brand actually stands for.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And here’s what happens next…</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f449.png" alt="👉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> They launch their new website or Instagram aesthetic.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f449.png" alt="👉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> It looks beautiful.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f449.png" alt="👉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> But after a few months, they realize…</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">&#8211; <em>They don’t actually know how to talk about their brand in a compelling way.</em><br>&#8211; <em>They’re still struggling to stand out online.</em><br>&#8211; <em>They’re not attracting the right clients (or enough clients at all).</em></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">The problem? They skipped the foundation—the deep brand strategy work that actually makes a brand powerful and profitable.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">That’s why I want to help you do things differently.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The 5 Most Important Steps in Your Branding or Rebranding Proces</strong>s</h2>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If I were rebranding my business today, here’s exactly what I would focus on <strong>first</strong> (before touching anything visual).</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. Create Messaging That’s Clear, Compelling, and Makes You Stand Out</strong></h3>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you don’t know how to clearly communicate what you do and why you’re different, it doesn’t matter how pretty your website looks—people won’t be compelled to take action.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Your messaging should:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Speak directly to your dream clients’ biggest desires and challenges.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Clearly explain what you do and why you’re different from others in your industry.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Be consistent across your website, Instagram, and any platform where you show up.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Most people skip this step. Instead, they pour their time into Canva templates, website layouts, or even hiring a designer before they know <em>what</em> their brand is actually saying.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Action Step<strong>:</strong> Before doing anything else, get clear on your brand messaging. If you need guidance, listen to <a href="https://heykristamarie.com/podcast/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Episode 150 &amp; 152</a> of the podcast where I dive deep into creating messaging that attracts and converts.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. Build a Cohesive Brand (Beyond Just the Visuals)</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Once your messaging is clear, then you can focus on creating a visually cohesive brand.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Cohesion doesn’t just mean your Instagram matches your website—it means:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Your words and visuals align so your audience gets the same experience everywhere.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Your brand feels instantly recognizable across all platforms.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> You’re saying the same core things over and over (which makes your brand <em>memorable</em>).</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Too many business owners think they need to create <em>different</em> messaging for each platform—but the strongest brands repeat themselves consistently. That’s how people start associating you with something specific.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Action Step: Make sure your messaging, website copy, Instagram bio, and content all reflect the <em>same</em> clear, compelling message about what you do and who you help.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. Choose a Marketing Strategy That Aligns With Your Goals (and Is Actually Sustainable)</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">When I was rebranding in 2021, I tried to be everywhere at once.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a8.png" alt="🚨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Weekly podcast episodes<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a8.png" alt="🚨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Daily Instagram posts<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a8.png" alt="🚨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Blogging every podcast episode<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a8.png" alt="🚨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Pinning 5x a day on Pinterest</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">I had <em>entire</em> days dedicated to content creation, and in theory, it made sense. But in reality?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">I got <em>burnt out fast</em>.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">What I learned: Just because you <strong>can</strong> fit something into your schedule doesn’t mean you <strong>should</strong>.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Your marketing strategy should:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Support your business growth goals.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Be sustainable long-term (not just for a few months).<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Prioritize quality over quantity—focusing on what actually drives sales.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Action Step: Choose 1-2 core platforms where you’ll consistently show up. Focus on strategies that directly lead to bookings (not just visibility for the sake of visibility).</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4. Optimize Your Offer Funnel So Clients Have a Clear Path to Work With You</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Another mistake I see?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Creating offers without thinking about how they flow together.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Your offer funnel should:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Have logical next steps for clients at different stages.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Make it easy for people to continue working with you.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Be designed so that one offer naturally leads into the next.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example, I once launched a $27/month membership that took $5,000 to set up—and I had no mid-tier or (even a sustainable) high-ticket offer to lead people into after that. Yiiiiiikes <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f440.png" alt="👀" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />. Lesson learned. It&#8217;s so easy to get caught up in the hype of how successful a business offer or strategy will be —even if it&#8217;s not currently a good fit for where you are in business. This meant I was putting all my effort into a <em>low-ticket</em> offer with no way to scale.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">I see this all the time with business owners who:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a9.png" alt="🚩" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Focus on selling one low-cost offer without a clear upsell path.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a9.png" alt="🚩" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Have <em>huge</em> price jumps between offers with no middle ground.<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f6a9.png" alt="🚩" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Create offers without thinking about how they <em>build on</em> each other.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Action Step: Look at your offer funnel. Does it make sense? Are there natural next steps for clients? Are you putting most of your energy into selling an offer that won’t generate the revenue you need?</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>5. Create an Irresistible Client Experience (So Clients Keep Coming Back &amp; Referring You)</strong></h3>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Your brand isn’t just about getting new clients—it’s about creating an experience that makes people want to work with you again (or refer you to others).</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Ask yourself:<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Is my onboarding process smooth and professional?<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Do I have automations that make client management easier?<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Am I creating an experience that makes clients excited to work with me again?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Action Step<strong>:</strong> Look at your client experience. Where can you streamline things? Are there automations you can put in place? If handling inquiries and bookings feels overwhelming, consider using a CRM to simplify your process.</p>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Final Thoughts: Rebrand the Right Way (Without the Overwhelm</strong>)</h2>

<div style="height:40px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’re branding (or rebranding), here’s your exact game plan:</p>

<div style="height:54px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">As business owners, we’re constantly trying to figure out where to focus our time and energy—especially when it comes to marketing. Should we be spending more time on long-form content like SEO and blogging? Or should we double down on short-form content like Instagram posts and reels?</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">It’s an important question because, let’s be real, we don’t have unlimited time. We’re not just marketers—we’re also running our businesses, serving clients, and juggling personal lives. So today, I want to break down why I believe SEO (search engine optimization) and long-form content should be your top priority in 2025.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-074-2-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48537" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-074-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-074-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-074-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-074-2-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-074-2-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2024/07/Elizabeth_Su_Branding-074-2-1600x1067.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Instagram Isn’t Your Best Lead Generator</h2>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Let me start by saying: I love Instagram. I use it, I market on it, and I believe it’s an important part of a brand strategy. But here’s the truth—Instagram is not where most of my brand photography leads come from. Almost every single lead I get comes from Google.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">I track this. Every time someone inquires, I ask how they found me, and the answer is always: “Google Search.” Not “I saw your reel” or “I found you on Instagram.”</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And I see so many business owners putting <em>all</em> of their energy into Instagram while completely ignoring their website and SEO. But the problem with relying on Instagram is that it’s not a search-based platform. People don’t go to Instagram to find a service provider the way they do on Google.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Instead, I use Instagram as a <em>trust-building tool.</em> When someone lands on my page, I want them to see content that reinforces my expertise, builds authority, and helps them connect with me. But I’m not depending on Instagram to bring in my leads.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why SEO and Blogging Matter (Even If It Feels Overwhelming)</h2>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">I get it—SEO can feel intimidating. I avoided it for years because I kept hearing things like, “It’s a long game” or “It’ll take years to see results.” And because I thought it would take forever to pay off, I just… didn’t focus on it.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">But here’s what I’ve learned: SEO doesn’t have to take five years to start working for you.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Last year, I switched my website domain from <strong>kristamarielynch.com</strong> to <strong>heykristamarie.com</strong>, which meant I lost over a decade of SEO credibility. I wasn&#8217;t completely starting from scratch, but I was creating an entirely new website with an entirely new focus (I went from being exclusively a wedding photographer to switching to brand photography). I knew my Google rankings would take a hit, but I also knew I had the tools to build them back up quickly.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">So I doubled down on my blog. I wrote posts optimized for the exact keywords I wanted to rank for, and within a year, I went from being near the bottom of page one to the <em>second spot</em> when you search “brand photographer Bay Area.”</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And now? My leads have never been stronger.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista198-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48764" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista198-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista198-300x200.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista198-768x512.jpg 768w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista198-1536x1025.jpg 1536w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista198-1600x1067.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<div style="height:45px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">SEO Is Becoming Even More Important in 2025</h2>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’ve been thinking, <em>Blogging is dead,</em> I need you to hear this: Google is prioritizing <em>fresh</em> content more than ever.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">There are so many websites out there (many that were created 10+ years ago) &#8212; but haven’t been updated in forever. And Google is smart—it knows that information from 2015 or even 2020 isn’t as relevant anymore.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">So if you start creating fresh, relevant blog content that speaks directly to what your dream clients are searching for? Google is likely to <em>prioritize</em> your content over an older website that hasn’t been updated in years.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And that’s where the opportunity is.</p>

<div style="height:38px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Get Started With SEO (Without Feeling Overwhelmed)</h2>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p class="has-text-align-center" style="font-size:17px"><strong>If SEO has felt like this big, daunting thing, here’s how to make it simple:</strong></p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">1. Optimize Your Website Pages</h3>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Each page on your website should have its own unique keyword it’s targeting. For example, my homepage is optimized for the keywords SF Bay Area Brand Photographer | Krista Marie<strong>.</strong> This helps Google understand what my site is about and when/who to show it in search results. It&#8217;s important to do some research on Google to find out, what keywords are your dream clients searching for &#8212; and HOW are they searching for it? Are they typing in &#8220;Wedding photographer Maryland&#8221; or &#8220;Wedding photographer Baltimore&#8221; or &#8220;Wedding photography central Maryland&#8221;? There a bunch of SEO/keyword tools you can utilize to find out what search terms are ranking best for your type of business. And once you have them, use them in unique ways throughout your website. </p>

<p>Note, you should not be using the same keywords for every page of your website. Google does penalize you for trying to &#8220;keyword stuff&#8221; &#8212; so avoid doing things like repeating the same keywords for every page and trying to stuff keywords into the background and unnecessarily into your content. It&#8217;s absolutely okay to use similar keywords for pages &#8212; for example, my About page has the keywords &#8220;Personal Brand Photographer Bay Area | About Krista Marie&#8221;. It&#8217;s okay if things are similar, but they need to be unique enough so Google doesn&#8217;t see you trying to over-rank for one keyword.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">If this feels overwhelming, work with an SEO expert to help you identify the right keywords for your site. But once your pages are optimized, you don’t have to constantly update them—your website will start working <em>for</em> you in the background.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">2. Get Clear on What You Want to Be Known For</h3>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Your SEO strategy should revolve around one clear topic.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">For example, if you’re a wedding photographer, family photographer, engagement photographer and boudoir photographer &#8212; choose the ONE you want to be most known for. For example, your site will be much better optimized when you are trying to rank for one main keyword than for multiple at the same time. The reality is, you are 100% able to have a business that offers MULTIPLE different services, offers and ways to work with you &#8212; but if you want to be at the top of the Google search &#8212; Google needs to know exactly what you specialize in so that it can show your site to the right people. Choose the ONE you most want to optimize for in search and run with it.</p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">3. Start Blogging (and Repurpose That Content for Instagram)</h3>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">Blogging is one of the <em>easiest</em> ways to build SEO because it allows you to create consistent, keyword-rich content that Google loves.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’re not sure where to start, think about the questions your dream clients ask you all the time. Then, turn those into blog posts. For example, I recently wrote a post on <strong>how to incorporate your brand colors into a brand photoshoot</strong>—a question I get all the time. Now, instead of answering that question over and over, I can send people straight to my blog. This allows me to create a better, more fuller client experience (they get helpful resources to the most common questions) AND I get to build up authority and credibility on Google. It&#8217;s a win-win.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And here’s the best part: Once you’ve written a blog post, you can repurpose it for Instagram and other pieces of short form content. Take key points from your post and turn them into reels, carousels, and captions. That way, your time spent blogging is <em>also</em> fueling your social media content.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">The more content that you create (around a given keyword and set of topics), the more rich Google will see your website as. And remember, don&#8217;t get stuck on how to write it perfectly. Just write the content that&#8217;s most relevant for that post, make sure you&#8217;re using your relevant keywords a few times &#8212; and you&#8217;re good to go. </p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">4. Use AI to Make Blogging Easier</h3>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">One of my favorite ways to streamline blogging? ChatGPT.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">Now, let me be clear: I <em>don’t</em> just ask AI to write my blog posts for me—I use it strategically. I’ve trained ChatGPT on my brand voice by uploading (MULTIPLE) brand docs, blog posts and podcast transcripts. Then, when I need to write a blog, I give it a detailed outline of what I want to cover. I give it the topic/title idea and as well as a bunch of bulleted keywords and topics I want it to reference and include. Think of this like uploading a rough draft outline of a piece of content to ChatGPT&#8211; and letting AI fill in the gaps to make it a cohesive post. Because it already knows my brand identity and brand voice &#8212; it gives me content that actually SOUNDS like me. </p>

<p style="font-size:17px">This helps me create content in my <em>own</em> voice, faster. Instead of staring at a blank page, I have a structured post that I can tweak and refine.</p>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista92-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48765" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista92-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista92-300x200.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista92-768x512.jpg 768w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista92-1536x1025.jpg 1536w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/2023Krista92-1600x1067.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p style="font-size:17px"></p>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px"></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Your 2025 Marketing Plan: Prioritize SEO, Let Instagram Support It</h2>

<div style="height:30px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p style="font-size:17px">If you’ve been putting off SEO, let <em>this</em> be the year you finally go all in.</p>

<p style="font-size:17px">It doesn’t mean you have to stop posting on Instagram, but it <em>does</em> mean shifting your focus. Instead of solely relying on social media to bring in leads, focus on building a website and blog strategy that brings leads to <em>you.</em></p>

<p style="font-size:17px">And if you’re thinking &#8220;<em>Okay, but I don’t even know where to start with this?</em>&#8221; —I’ve been there too and <em>I hear you</em>. </p>

<div style="height:45px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://heykristamarie.com/coaching" target="_blank" rel=" noreferrer noopener"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1200" height="100" src="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-48768" srcset="https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2.jpg 1200w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2-300x25.jpg 300w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2-1024x85.jpg 1024w, https://heykristamarie.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32022/2025/01/Ready-to-build-a-brand-that-sells-out-your-offers-247-2-768x64.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></a></figure>

<div style="height:45px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>
