The relatively modest Magnitude 5.1 quake resulted in extensive damage and nine deaths

They report in Nature Geoscience that those shifts correlate with locations where water has been drained for years.

The study highlights how human activity such as drainage or borehole drilling can have far-reaching seismic effects.

Pablo Gonzalez of the University of Western Ontario and colleagues used satellite radar data to trace the ground movements of the Lorca event back to their source, finding that the earthquake resulted from slippage on a comparatively shallow fault that borders a large water basin south of the city.

That the slippage happened at a depth of just 3km explains why the fairly mild Magnitude 5.1 quake caused so much damage in the area.

The team went on to study potential reasons for the slippage, finding that the water table in the adjacent Alto Guadalentin basin had dropped by some 250m over the last 50 years as water was drained for irrigation in the region.

Their calculations show that this created stresses on the fault that initially triggered the earthquake and defined its eventual magnitude.

Geoengineering dreams

However, the area lies on a seismically active region, and the data suggest only that the water drainage sped up and eventually triggered a process that would have eventually happened anyway.

The BBC's Sarah Rainsford reported on the damage when the quake struck in 2011

Dr Gonzalez stressed the study was specific to the Lorca earthquake, telling the Reuters news agency that "we cannot set up a rule just by studying a single particular case".

"But the evidence that we have collected in this study could be necessary to expand research in other future events that occur near... dams, aquifers and melting glaciers, where you have tectonic faults close to these sources."

In an accompanying Nature Geoscience article, Jean-Philippe Avouac of the California Institute of Technology said: "It does not take much to trigger an earthquake - even strong rainfall can do the job".

Firefox Plugin-Container.exe and how disable it

I was surprised too when I saw a file named plugin-container.exe on the computer. Objects whatsoever? Virus or whether this file? The origin of incidence seen when I open an application and suddenly the application is not responding. The first step I did was forcibly shut down the application via Task Manager. But you see there is a process with the name of the plugin-container.exe. Become a question mark in my mind. Previously never seen any of this process.

Out of curiosity, I finally decided to look it up in google. As a result I know also what plugin-container.exe. Apparently this is the plugin file found in Mozilla Firefox 3.6.4. upwards. Incidentally I gunakankan Firefox has now reached version 3.6.6. The function of this plugin is to set the course of additional plugins like:

* Adobe Flash

* Apple Quicktime

* Microsoft Silverlight

These plugins are not created by Firefox. To run a web content containing video, music, games etc. The above plugins are required diinstalkan separately. Because I think the plugin is often consuming a large source of memory sometimes without realizing it, I finally decided to stop the process. after browsing the various forums, finally found a solution that can be applied.

If you want to permanently disable the plugin container process in Firefox, follow these simple steps:

1. Type about:config in the address bar, hit “Enter’ and click on “I will be careful, I promise” (see screenshot below)

2. Type dom.ipc in the filter field and you will see the following options being listed

4. Right click an entry and select “Toggle” to change the value of the entry from True to False and vice versa.

5. Reset all entries to False but keep the first and last entries to True.

You are done, restart Firefox and open up Windows task manager to see that the plugin container process is disabled.

One time, I have read an interesting article about the importance of self-confidence. The article was written by Kieran, an International Specialist Success Coach & Motivational Speaker.

There's one quote that I like, namely:

‘Success is not governed by colour, creed, age or orientation: Success does not discriminate nor does it know boundaries. It does however depend upon dreams, persistence and self-belief. The moment you lose confidence in yourself, failure will follow’

Well, that sentence made me realize one thing that will be vital to develop themselves.

Various problems of life are always there, and I also believe it will accompany us every step. Like it or not we like!

Absolute self-confidence needed to drive a motivation from within, since it does not countenance the motivation we get from relatives, wives, husbands, friends and others. And commitment will be born along the strong self-motivation, at least according to Kieran.

There are some positive steps to be done continuously, never stop because of negative influence on the success of the course will hinder what should make us successful.

Here are some steps:

1. Building a wall of positive energy to ourselves by writing down your dreams and desires in the liver, which making notesl in personal records. One main lesson that I learned is to try to write it in a note, so the hands, eyes and my mind read more real. This can be channeled positively energy harmony and optimistic attitude.

2. Develop this concept by taking care of Creation itself, makes a variety of activities that process the entire body. At least, do not let the bodies trapped in the void of activity. Whether it is through exercise, reading in his spare time, indulge fellow colleagues, maintain relationships and familial and societal relations with other people with more active.

Site Feed site or more commonly known as a sitemap is a basic element which is vital for search engines.

A site feed is a machine-readable representation of your blog That Can be picked up and displayed on other web sites and information aggregation tools.

This article is a continuation of the previous article entitled "Site Submit URL to Web Directory: Step 4 to started a blog". And I do the following steps in building this KroboX blog, is how to Google and Yahoo can easily explore all elements of the blog through blog sitemap (Site Feed). Thus expected to be well documented in the database search engine index.

On google, I use the facility Webmaster Tools > Site Configuration > Sitemap > Sitemap Submission through Google account to add this blog sitemap. And the Yahoo Directory, use the facility submit the site feed.

Blogspot platform on the basis that we can use are: atom.xml and rss.xml

Here is the pattern that I use the sitemap:
