How to create QR Code Labels.

LabelJoy allow you to easily create QR Code Labels, download and install LabelJoy on your Pc, open LabelJoy.
By selecting QR Code from the Barcode type combo box, 3 additional combo boxes are displayed to enable you to define the attributes of this bi-dimensional barcode. The first one, Encoding, enables you to define the encoding algorithm to be used to obtain the best possible data compression, aimed at reducing the amount of space required to display the symbol. The options are:

• (Mixed): default setting. Enables encoding of the data using a combination of all the following encoding modes based on the type of data found. Normally this setting produces the best results.
• Numeric: enables encoding of numbers 0 through 9 only.
• Alpha numeric: enables encoding of numbers, upper case letters only, and a few special characters. Best suited for alpha-numeric codes with upper case text.
• Hex (string): enables encoding of any character in the ASCII set. Best suited for alpha-numeric codes with lower case text.
• Hex (byte): specific encoding for byte data ranging between 0 and 255. By using this encoding algorithm it is possible to encode any value between 0x00 and 0xFF (decimal 0 ~ 255). In order to use this encoding you need to enter a string containing 2-digit hexadecimal values separated by a space: I.e.: 32 FA 56 E8 12 ... etc.
• Kanji: enables encoding of characters in the Shift JIS system used to display Japanese characters.
  

  Note:
  Kanji characters can only be entered in LabelJoy when the option Language for non-unicode programs in Control Panel is set to Japanese. Alternatively, Kanji characters can be read from an external data source.

The Symbol size combo box enables you to enter the minimum symbol dimension. The QR Code architecture organizes data in a square to represent the encoded data. The size of the square depends on the amount of data encoded.
Normally the symbol is generated with the smallest possible size needed to represent the encode data. In some cases, it might be desirable to increase the minimum needed size drawn, to make sure that all printed symbols have the same size regardless of the amount of encoded data. For example, if you connect a QR Code barcode to the address field of a data source, it might be necessary for all symbols to have the same size, regardless of the single address length. In such a scenario, you will be able to define a minimum symbol size for all generated barcodes.

The Error correction level combo box enables you to select between 4 different levels of recovery from the following amounts of damage:

• L: 7% recovery capacity.
• M (default): 15% recovery capacity.
• Q: 25% recovery capacity.
• H: 30% recovery capacity.

QR Code implements error correction to ensure readability on partially damaged symbols. The higher the error correction level, the larger the symbol size needed to encode the same data.

Limitations:
QR Code symbols generated with LabelJoy do not support: Extended Channel Interpratation (ECI), FNC1 mode and Structure Append mode.

What you need to verify is:

Do I have Windows installed on the computer connected to the printer?
If the answer is Yes, then you can use LabelJoy as label printing software.

How do I print and set my printer?

You are done creating your labels with LabelJoy and it's now time to print them.
By clicking on the printer icon on the horizontal toolbar you will be able to:

1. Send your labels directly to the printer by selecting the Print menu.
2. Choose the printer you want to print on, in case you have more than one printer installed on your system.
3. Access your printer's settings.

Printer settings are managed by Windows, which means that all you'll have to do is start the printing process just like you would for any other document or file.
Note that you could print labels on partially used label sheets.

2. Click on the label and, while holding the left mouse button down, drag the mouse creating the desired insertion rectangle, then release the mouse button.
3. Select Data Matrix from the Barcode type combo box found inside the Barcode settings form (Click on the "Barcode settings" menu to display it).
4. Define the Encoding and symbol size from the combo boxes (More info 2D barcode encoding type).
5. Enter a static code.
6. Click on Ok.

It is now possible to move and resize the 2D barcode shown on the label and print it.
