Place 1 tablespoon of the mixture on each square of pastry.  Arrange apple halves on top.  Sprinkle with more crumb mixture.  Fold dough over apple on four sides to enclose completely.  Brush with egg mixture. 
From leftover dough, cut out small rounds with a scalloped cookie
