I have been organizing events at my school this semester, and so I am going to shamelessly promote here.

So, I was going to say:
With twitter, I am able to spit out random musings, but am unable to elaborate. For example, I STILL got it bad for the whole collection of Orla Kiely for Target from last year. I wouldn’t mind procuring the brown dish set, or a few mugs. I already snagged the cookie jar canister but it alone has not satiated my obsession. By the way, this delicious housedress from spring 2010 is also beautiful.

But I have had my eye on ebay is the humble brown pear mug from the line, on which I am bidding currently. The mug pictured left is not the same design, unfortunately. I didn’t see any of these vine pattern ones for sale for quite some time. I have contemplated buying the scribble plates, but I don’t see any dinner ones for sale right now. With that, I would have to dream up new storage solutions for all my kitchenware though.

Transparent Toaster? Amazing! But this thing isn’t available yet for sale. But what would the price tag for one of those be? I can’t imagine that I would have the time to stare at the toaster for 3 minutes, let alone every time it toasts. It would be interesting the first time but not worth the effort thereafter.

Just got my hands on this cute little road bike this fall. The shade of blue is a little too 80s for me perhaps. I originally identified it as ‘moondrop blue,’ which is evidently not an actual color. But really, what color would you call this pearly powdery cerulean? I’ve heard that Pontiac Blue might be the proper term. The hue is really similar to my 1982 toyota camry back in Canadias, but with a milkier finish. Prussian Blue? Dull Sapphire? Powder Blue? Steel Blue? Blue Steel?

Looks like my freezer will be stacked with perogies from Greenpoint starting this weekend. Hooray! Hurray! (in case you weren’t aware, New York grocery stores are surprisingly lacking in perogies, unlike back in Edmonton where they were a staple in the frozen food aisle.)

This isn’t exactly faux bois in the background; rather it is faux faux bois–that is, the real thing. vrai bois?

So, I am currently looking for a way to cover up this giant, blank, sterile-looking wall in my living room. It is terrifyingly bland. And the current coat of white paint has this blinding, reflective sheen. Gross. Come now, who wants shiny white walls? My place is a work in progress (which you probably may have gathered by now). I am thinking of pasting up a mural of some sort. Something nature-like with a nice pattern to it. But someone tell me, are those things easily removable if I should suddenly choose to finally up and move down the L train to Jefferson where the neighborhood looks so very…hm…neighborly? I was thinking of covering the wall with a layer of some faux bois patterned paper, or better yet, I could salvage pieces of abandoned wood and build a faux wall. Inconceivable you say? Not really. I’ve been busting out all the lezbionics lately — what, with building shit and adding to my new, burgeoning tool collection (including my very own power drill[!]). Thanks, thanks.

Last thought of the night, facebook does some weird color processing to any image I upload. Tell me, what the hell is that?

9. laugh at alcohol-induced hiccups

Result: eric’s glorious beefy chest.
