After a quiet spell on the blog the last few weeks… how about a lovely little Christmas inspired wedding sneak peek to kick the holiday weekend off right!

Here goes…

Our last wedding of the year was just before Christmas and we love how Stefanie & Carsten embraced the elegance and festive spirit of TPC Sawgrass during the holiday season. It was the perfect end to our 2011 wedding season and we were so happy to have spent this day with such a sweet couple. Here are just a few of our favorites from their wedding day. I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful New Year’s weekend and can’t wait to share so much more with you soon! There are lots of fun things to come in 2012!

Stephanie & Jimmy’s White Room Wedding | St. Augustine Wedding Photographers

Stephanie and Jimmy had the most perfect wedding day you could imagine. The sun was shining, the air was warm, everything ran as smooth as butter and the bride was glowing all day long. They had a rooftop ceremony overlooking the bay in St. Augustine and followed it by dinner and dancing downstairs in the loft of the White Room. Aime and her team at Riverside Event Design did a remarkable job with the flowers. She was able to marry lovely bits of lavender and sage with beach inspired pieces to bring in Stephanie & Jimmy’s love of the ocean. I loved the little bits of driftwood and sea grasses she used in all the arrangements. Cocktails were served on the terrace as the sun set over the roofline making for a perfect start to the evening. We couldn’t have ordered a prettier sunset that day either. Everyone went inside to dance the night away before Stephanie & Jimmy left on their honeymoon. We have loved working with these guys from day one and are so happy to call them our friends. Stephanie & Jimmy, you are an amazing couple and we love you both! We have had so much fun with you two over the last year and only wish we could do it all again. Lots of love to you both!

Nate & Ian… Just for Fun | St. Augustine Photographers

Our good friend Nate of Studio222 Photography asked us to shoot him and his pal Ian just for fun one day. We couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday traipsing around St. Augustine with these two bearded bozos. Yes we mean bozo in the endearing kind of way. Although this shoot was just for fun with two crazy guys, it got me thinking. As we grow up we rarely have photos of ourselves with our closest friends. No, iphone photos do not count as legit memories (this is a lesson I really need to take to heart.) I’m talking photo albums, real pictures you can hold and look at and show off without squinting at a tiny screen. Its a shame that we can flip back through old photos from middle school or high school and find an abundance of snapshots with the people we grew up with, but what about as adults? Often our closest friends become our family and they are the people in our lives who encourage us, inspire us to dream bigger, share in our heartache, keep us laughing and are the people we most cherish. So why not document that? Just because we are “grown up” doesn’t mean we can’t have fun and run around uninhibited anymore. It means we probably need it more than most. I’m so glad we had the opportunity to shoot this session with Nate and Ian and that they were free to be their natural selves in front of our cameras. We explored St. Augustine doing exactly what Nate and Ian love best; taking pictures, drinking craft beer, playing on the ipad, eating spicy foods and just enjoying life. Nate and Ian, you know we think you guys are pretty awesome and your wives are smart ladies for having married such kick ass fellas. Becka & Dana… we heart you girls too!

Stefanie & Carsten’s Engagement Session | Jacksonville Wedding Photographers

A while back I shared some of the film images we took at Stefanie & Carsten’s airport themed engagement session. I love how the film turned out but I’m excited to share some of the digital images as well. These two lovebirds will be tying the knot in just a few weeks at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach and we are so excited to see their holiday wedding come to life. Below are a few of my favorite images we took last April with these guys. I adore how Carsten is so playful with Stefanie and seems to be able to make her laugh like flipping on a light switch. These guys are incredible together and we are so happy to have captured a little bit of their love story here. We hope you enjoy!
