I have always wanted to take a photo shot of this tree right in front of our house every summer but for some other reason I forgot to do so. I don’t know what kind of tree is this. It was pretty amazing that during summer time in the Philippines, he changes leaves into flowers, pink flowers to be exact. Worst Birthday Ever!

Okay, I am not supposed to reveal this to my readers, but who cares? If this is one way to get rid of my not-so-good-mood over my husband on the day of my birthday, then I don’t care LOL!

Talking about my birthday, this is actually a late post because my birthday was 3 days ago, though I already forgive my husband but I just can’t get over it what happened during that day. It was supposed to be a happy day because it was my 40^th birthday but it turned out to be a bad day for me. My husband and I had a little misunderstanding over a thing which I cannot tell you, and that little misunderstanding became a big issue to the both of us for the whole day until the time when we are about to go to sleep in the evening. I never ever celebrate my birthday with a party or something like that, just with my family and a date with my husband over dinner or movies. Some thing’s change when our first baby was born who is 2 months old now, so it’s difficult for us to go out and celebrate my birthday because we were afraid to leave our baby to anybody, except for family members, but they were all busy. Instead, we decided to stay at home and have ice cream and cake just for the two of us LOL! But, sad to say, the ice cream was melting and the cake was ruined. What a birthday!

To make up of those ruined day, on the next day, my husband bought me something as a birthday present. Well, it says that…the only way to win an angry wife is her “indulgence” and by indulgence, for me that means SHOES! LOL! Now, I love him even more because he knows my weakness LOL! To end this story, my husband and I made up, and we had a long talk about anything and promise to love each other until death do us part…

SYNOPSIS: For Nick (Jason Bateman), Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) and Dale (Charlie Day), the only thing that would make the daily grind more tolerable would be to grind their intolerable bosses (Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, Jennifer Aniston) into dust. Quitting is not an option, so, with the benefit of a few-too-many drinks and some dubious advice from a hustling ex-con (Jamie Foxx), the three friends devise a convoluted and seemingly foolproof plan to rid themselves of their respective employers...permanently. There's only one problem: even the best laid plans are only as foolproof as the brains behind them.

Having a horrible boss makes your life miserable. Do you agree? As for me, I strongly agree. My short story about my experience of having a horrible boss before, will tell you about it.

I have a lady boss and a few guy bosses who were so heartless, who always yelled at us and who also curse. They don’t know how to say please, but who cares? Are there boss who say “please” when they will ask something to do from their staff? Of course they don’t except to those who are not evil or slave-driving psycho boss. Boss like them will make you work even if you have no more strength to last for another hours. They don’t even give you a raise or a promotion you deserved. Men! I couldn’t even believe their “kind”, exist! No wonder, from this movie, they were looking for a hit man to kill their bosses because they are extremely horrible.

Those who are working with a boss like them can totally relate to this movie. If I were you, better quit now. It’s not like the end of the world you can still find another job and have a nice and kind good-hearted boss.

GOING OUT OF TOWN

In summer 2011, my husband and I went to Dakak to spend our summer vacation together with my sister, her husband, and their four kids. This time I wanted to spend my summer vacation somewhere in Surigao Island. The idea was not acceptable when I brought it up to my sister because of the recent earthquake incident in Dinagatan Island in Surigao. Since I was always the outing “Planner”, I suggested Emars Wavepool in Davao City. We have never been there before. We heard the Resort was so nice. I couldn’t wait to be there. My only problem is, my baby is just two months old. I don’t know if travelling that far, he won’t cause any trouble to us. Sometimes I am reluctant to pursue this out of town adventure with the family because of my baby, but I don’t want to be the reason the family will not be able to go on a summer vacation because I know my nieces and nephews are all excited about this. Well, they can still go without us. It’s not like there are no more Emars Wave Pool in the future. We will be fine staying in the house taking care to our little angel. We can still catch up next year…

SYNOPSIS: Growing up together, Mitch (Ryan Reynolds ) and Dave (Jason Bateman) were inseparable best friends but as the years have passed they’ve slowly drifted apart. While Dave is an overworked lawyer, husband and father of three, Mitch has remained a single quasi-employed man-child who has never met a responsibility he liked. To Mitch, Dave has it all, beautiful wife Jamie (Leslie Mann), kids who adore him and a high paying job at a prestigious law firm. To Dave living Mitch stressful life without obligation or consequence would be a dream come true. Following a drunken night out together, Mitch and Dave’s world are turned upside down when they wake up in each other’s bodies and proceed to freak out.

The movie was so freaking funny that my niece and I watch it twice. Well, what transpired the movie was not really happening in real life like the switching of identities, but what made the story so interesting of the viewers, was, no matter how irresponsible and happy go lucky a man is, there will come a time that something will happen that makes him realize the importance of being a responsible man. Men were born to be easy going and it is not their “thing” to take care of babies at the same time take care of the job they were into. They think it was not manly if they do things like that. But, I agree there are still men out there who does the exact opposite of what I just said. I also agree that Men can change…

This is the message posted on the wall beside at the cashier’s window at the LTO office when I went there to renew the registration of my sister’s vehicle. The message sent me a perfect warning because when I reached there I was really looking of a fixer to get the job done to avoid the hassle going through all the process because I know sometimes our government employees here in our country gave us hard time to finish whatever transactions we have that requires their attention, such as this. There were a couple of fixers I saw there and when one of them approached me and asked me to let him do the job, I almost said yes because I was in a hurry to get back home. But when I asked the fixer how much his service, I almost swallowed the gum in my mouth because he was not only asking pay for his service but also for the person inside at the LTO office who was in-charge in processing of the renewal. I don’t know if he was telling the truth or he was just trying to make more money by involving another person inside in the LTO office. I know one thing that some of our government employees are doing this kind of “job” just to have extra income.

So, is the warning that “Fixers are strictly not allowed” is simply just some kind of a “front” or they are really tolerating it? I hope our government will do something to stop this because they are robbing Filipino citizens.

Well thank GOD I finished my transaction early without having to pay somebody to do the job.

She’s A Better Baby Pacifier than Me!

God really has reason for everything. My niece who just resigned her recent job in Cebu, was a big favor for me! Call me selfish but I really thank the LORD my niece made that decision. Do you know why? Because I don’t have to hire a baby sitter anymore because she volunteered to be my companion at the same time Nanny, “Temporary” while I am still looking for a good Nanny at the moment. I was glad she is great with babies. And she is a better baby pacifier than me! Sometimes I was wondering why I couldn’t pacify my own baby? Does it mean he hates me? LOL! Of course not! The doctor said, psychologically speaking, the baby could sense that you are already tired and could not get the comfort they need while you are trying to hold them. As for my niece, well, experienced wise, she’s the eldest of my sister’s children and she took a great deal in taking care of her siblings while they were growing up, that’s why…
To my niece, thank you so much for being here with me and baby Tristan. You are such a big help to us.

Clean Up Your Closet

I don’t know if it is too early to clean up my closet full of maternity dresses and extra large pants and underpants, but I think, for me it is already a perfect time. I have no plan to get pregnant right away when I just had my baby delivered three weeks ago, so I need to organize my wardrobe and set aside those clothes that are no longer useful. Not only for my maternity outfits, but maybe I will just give an old and forgotten outfit a second chance to remodel them. Especially those item that are no longer in style or of use. All I have to do is make a visit to my favorite dress maker in my neighborhood. Well, some of my clothes were sent to help the victims of typhoon Sendong in our city. I am just thankful to GOD I have extra clothes so I can share them to my fellow citizens in times of calamities. In return to that, GOD will just shower me more clothes if I know how to share them.
How about you? I am pretty sure your closet could no longer accommodate for more clothes you put it in. So, why don’t you share them…

One of the successful singers of all time, Whitney Houston, died at the age of 48 years old. It was such a sad news that her followers received last Saturday. I did not know until I saw it in our own Filipino television channel, ASAP, that made a tribute to Whitney Houston. Houston’s cause of death were still unknown. But her continuous use of drugs and stormy marriage with singer Bobby Brown was maybe the reason why she was out of control and that leads to her untimely death, that many were also suspected. She was a singer turned actress. Her songs and movies had made an impact in the limelight. She was an icon and her songs will always remain in our hearts and will be remembered forever. Her kind was difficult to find nowadays…

I Can't Get My Baby Into Sleep!

Am I the worst mother or what…

Last night was one of those nights wherein I was having trouble trying my baby to get him to sleep. I tried every possible way on how to sooth him, but the more you tried so hard the more he became agitated and wild. His loud cry could wake up the whole universe! I did what my mother and my sisters told me to do if things like this with the baby happen. So, I rock him on my shoulder and sing lullaby, I feed him but I could not feed him again, not for another 2 hours, I tried to put him on the bed and gave his pacifier, I carry and hold him close to my body thinking maybe he wants to be held, I checked on his diapers, and it was dry, I gave him water, maybe he was thirsty. But, nothing works for the baby. I spent almost 3 hours doing the same routine, and finally I got an idea! I put him on my lap and tried to breastfeed him even if I know no amount of milk will come out from my breast. Then the breastfeeding works like magic! He fell asleep in less than five minutes. Wow! I was like…thank you GOD! I can now go back to sleep. To all mommies out there, do you have any suggestions or advice just in case the breastfeeding is not going to work next time? LOL! Any comment is very much appreciated.

My Blogger Friend’s Blog Was Headline on National Newspaper!

I was really in awe! When I visited my friend blog site and find out from one of her post title, her blog was headline on national newspaper! At first, I have no intention to read the whole story, but I was curious so I take time to read it and I was laughing so hard because it was just only an article about the latest issue of our own President “Noy”Aquino of her love affair with no other than “Grace Lee”. The headlines were very catching to the reader’s eye since they titled it “Amazing Grace” which happened to be the title of my friend’s blog! What made it more amusing is that, when I read some comment on that particular post, some congratulated her? Sometimes you really need to read the whole story before jumping into conclusion.

Eartquake In Negros Oriental

Just two months ago a huge flood killed thousands of citizens in Cagayan de Oro City because of a typhoon. And yet, there are still missing that their living family longed to have been found. Only GOD knows where their body lies. And now, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit Negros Oriental causing landslides and huge cracks on highways and violently shakes buildings. This time the earthquake killed 80 or more people and there were other more buried under the soil. As seen on the news, people were running on the streets because of fear or maybe looking for a place to hide. As of today, rescuers are still digging for survivor or dead people.

Is 2012 the end of the world like they always predicted? Well, who knows…Just remember that before the second coming of Christ, things like this happen. How many more of calamities we have to face before we decide when to turn to GOD. Nobody knows when the time is, but it is important to be prepared. The coming of Christ is nothing scary like we always imagine, but it should be a celebration. If you received Christ as your one and only savior then you must not be afraid because when the time comes, you will be with him.
