Lots of excitement brewing around here as the local communities prepare to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee.

Diamond Jubilee To mark the 60 years reign the late May Bank holiday, which normally is the last weekend in May, has been moved to Monday 4 June 2012, and the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II is on Tuesday 5th June 2012, an extra day’s holiday, which makes it a good long weekend for all. The Jubilee weekend will be something really special as the occasion will be celebrated with street parties, barbecues, dinners, shows and church services and various other events. Lots of hard work has gone it these preparations here in Frinton & Walton so we are all keeping our fingers tightly crossed hoping the weather doesn’t let us down.

Frinton &  Walton Jubilee Weekend

I am looking forward to  a wonderful weekend with festivities starting on Saturday at the local shopping centers,  and a Teddy Bears Picnic for the children in the afternoon with music, bouncy castle, face painters and much more.  Fun for all the family continuing through to Monday the 4th.  Time to get the camera out and have some fun myself and come back with a few shots and perhaps a video clip or two.

London Jubilee celebrations

Some of the members of the local community will be joining the celebrations in London and participating in the River Thames Pageant. The local Frinton & Walton Heritage Trust restored the worlds oldest surviving motor lifeboat, James Stevens 14, which was found dilapidated and forgotten in the muddy waters at Maldon. The restored lifeboat now has the honour of participating in the celebrations on the Thames and joining thousands of craft on the river. Je viens juste d’ajouter une nouvelle galerie photos dans >> Wildlife >> Fauna >> Reptiles. D’accord… le site est en anglais mais pas besoin de mots pour les images n’est-ce pas ??

Vous y verrez des photos des Lézards et Reptiles que nous avons en France. J’ai bon espoir d’en capturer davantage en France et à l’étranger.

J’aime ces animaux, ils sont vraiment beaux et avec mes photos j’espère qu’ils perdront la peur qu’ils procurent à beaucoup de monde. En France, ils sont tous protégés. Nous n’avons pas le droit de les tuer mais malheureusement ils sont victimes de leur mauvaise image de marque. Un Lézard ne vous mangera jamais ! Le seul qui puisse être “dangereux” est la Vipère car elle possède du venin… laissez-là simplement tranquille et vous serez en sécurité :)

I just added a new photo gallery under Wildlife >> Fauna >> Reptiles.

There you’ll find photos of Lizards and Snakes we have in France. I have good hope to capture more in France and abroad.

I love these animals, they really are beautiful and with my shots I hope they will lose the fear they give too many people. They are all protected in France. We don’t have the right to kill them but unfortunately they are victims of their bad brand image. A Lizard will never eat you ! The only that can be “dangerous” is the Viper because she has venom… just leave it in peace and you are safe :)

J’ai découvert cette chanson il y a quelques années et je la trouve absolument superbe !

Je commence toutes mes journées en l’écoutant… ça donne la pêche !! Cette chanson me parle à + de 100 % ! Et si vous avez vu le film Intouchables… c’est cette chanson que l’on entend quand ils font du parachute… on ne pouvait pas trouver mieux ;-)

Je suis allée faire un tour aux Médiévales hier mais ce n’était que l’installation du campement quand j’y étais. J’y suis donc retournée aujourd’hui et j’ai eu de la chance…la météo prévoyait des orages mais que nenni… soleil !!!

Photos Médiévales de Murol 2012

Murol is a small village located in Auvergne, France. Each year there’s a medieval manifestation where all the village lives as they lived in the Middle Ages.

We can see all the medieval weapons and how they used them… what they were eating and how they were cooking etc. All the people are in medieval costumes. This is really amazing !!

I was there today and it ends on Sunday… so if you are around, don’t forget to enjoy some good moments at the Médiévales de Murol.

Je viens juste d’ajouter une nouvelle Galerie Photo sous Wildlife >> Fauna >> Birds.

Les oiseaux sont une longue histoire pour dire à quel point je les admire et les aime… probablement plus fort que l’amour que j’éprouve pour les Papillons ! Les deux volent… un de mes rêves les plus profonds. Je peux passer des heures à les regarder et même j’en oublie de les photographier LOL !

Ils sont le symbole de la LIBERTE… dans tous les sens du terme :)

Birds are a long story to tell how much I admire and love them… maybe it’s stronger than the love I have for Butterflies ! Both are flying… one of my deepest dream. I can spent hours looking at them and even forget to shoot them with my cam LOL !

They are the symbol of FREEDOM… in all meanings :)
