So I am thinking of an outfit. It is black and has ruffles. It also has a spot of pink, well because that is my signature color. It is being put together from pieces from two different designers, both, conveniently at La Grande Dame!

Smells Good!

Ok, today I’d like to talk about something that is a bit, well it’s not a comfortable topic to bring up; deodorant. Recently, I read an article that scared me a bit into going shopping! What a tragedy. It was full of information about chemicals and other nasties like that.

So, I did some thinking and realized that right now, especially with the “Go Green” movement in full swing, being so trendy, and being knocked up, I should jump on the bandwagon also. I have slowly been changing my body products over the past two years to organic ones and also items in my house, sheets, towels, less plastic, more glass things that come into contact with my body a lot. It’s no surprise then, that I went looking for a great new deodorant. The one that I found was Origins Totally Pure.

First of all, it’s a pump bottle, so no harmful CFC’s going into the atmosphere. Secondly, it actually keeps me cool and dry and smelling fresh ALL day! Oh that’s three things isn’t it. Anyway, it smells like Noxema and that to me is a great thing. However, if you do not like that smell, then it may be a no go for you. Don’t use it after you shave, it will sting a bit. I have been using it now for a week and I have also converted my hubby. He loves it. Another awesome side effect of this deodorant is that it doesn’t leave the nasty white marks on your clothing and being that I live in New York, we wear a lot of black here!

Bottom line, it works, it’s organic and it smells great!

Obvi I am obsessed with Anna Scholz. It’s been established. Over. And. Over. Now, of course, Catherine posts the new Crepe Jersey Dress by Anna and I am actually having heart palpitations over it. I need a dress for my daughter’s christening which is months away, but obviously, when I see a steal I must have it. In a perfect world, when I would wear heels and never ever trip or fall or stumble in the, I would accessorize that main event of a dress with these boots from Calvin Klein.

With a 4 & 1/4 inch heel and a 3/4 inch platform, that is so perfect to give me the attitude I need to stand tall as a new mama.

For jewelry, I think that some amazing earrings are in order. I would go with the traditional wedding and engagement ring, my tank watch and some fierce earrings. King Baby Studio has a pair of linear earrings that I think would be an awesome compliment to the lines on this dress. Relic cutouts, sterling silver, gold posts… they are a dream!

America’s Next Top Model, Whitney Thompson’s mentor, Tyra Banks, recently came under scrutiny when a trailer was released for the 15th season of “Top Model” where Banks is praising a contestant for having an extremely tiny waist. However plus size model and ANTM season 10 winner is coming to her defense.“Tyra supports women of all sizes as long as they are healthy. I do not fault her for her reaction to seeing such a tiny waist. She had a similar reaction to seeing Toccara’s enormous breasts. Whitney’s career as a plus size model has thrived since appearing on the show and winning the prestigious title of America’s Next Top Model in 2008. So I look to my right and there are about twenty parfums to pick from. Some are for spring, some summer, some winter and of course, my favorite season ever, FALL. I am not one to shy away from think cozy sweaters, jeans and comfy boots. To go with that general style which I have imposed on myself for each and every fall, I will share with you my favorite parfums. Don’t be fooled, one day I am a chic sweater girl, one day, goth, and one day boho, but still, sweater, jeans and boots.

I am not one to wear the same fragrance day in and day out because my style changes day in and day out, and that is why I have a plethora of parfums to suit my mood.
