Pirate‘s Cove Adventure Golf in Osage Beach, MO will host he 7th Annual Putting For Patriots fundraiser from May 10- May 27th 2013.

Putting for Patriots is an established annual fund raising event, which supports three pre-screened charities that as a group efficiently serve our wounded, their families and the survivors of fallen military members. The event takes place each May, culminating on Memorial Day weekend. Each year, our 36 participating courses donate a % of their total sales on the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Weekend and accept customer donations, which are turned over to the charities. The Osage Beach location is just one of 33 Pirate’s Cove, Pirate’s Island and Jungle Golf mini golf courses in the US supporting this cause this month.

Welcome to the Dragon’s Cup Watercross Finals. Scheduled for August 2nd-through the 4th, the weekend event is presented by Premier Vacations at Lake of the Ozarks, and new this year, Nauti Water Racing, the event will return to Coconuts Caribbean Beach Bar & Resort. The event will be an IJSBA Watercross race and the Nauti Water Racing Finals.

According to the official press release, “The race this year will bring racers from around the country, and be a preview to the 2014 National Finals at Coconuts. Donations will be raised again this year for the Wounded Warriors Project.”

The weekend will have much more than just racing too, including fun runs and plenty of water fun to be had for the whole family. Further information regarding entry to the race can be found here. Additionally, anyone under 18 requires a parental permission signed form. Early registration is suggested. And as we said above, racing here is cheap – entry fees are $65.

Lake Race has developed as a result of the overwhelming support for powerboat racing at Lake of the Ozarks. As the jewel of the Midwest, our lake is an amazing venue for powerboat racing, and we know you will find lake area residents and business owners to be the most friendly and enthusiastic in the country. The Offshore Super Series had its debut here back in 2007-09, and due to the economy and many unforeseen circumstances, has taken a hiatus from the lake. Now based on a ground swell of support from our community, OSS is back with a schedule and venue that you’ll find better than ever.

The Bagnell Dam Strip Association, a not for profit organization is the organizing entity for this charitable event, and Beavers at the Dam Bar & Grill is the host facility-located on the Historic Bagnell Dam Strip at the 0mm. You will find amazing views of the entire race area from several points around the lake. Many businesses and sponsors of the event will welcome you with open arms to see firsthand, the power and excitement of these magnificent boats. The Race Pits will be on the docks at Beavers, the Racer Village will be located on the Bagnell Dam Strip, as well as the Vendor Village. The entire strip area will be electrified with excitement for race weekend and we invite you to join in fun.

The 19th annual Newcomers/Longtimers Home Tour will be held May 18th
from 10 am – 4 pm.  This year features selected homes in the Cross Creek
area of Camden County.  Traveling west on hwy 54, the entrance to Cross
Creek is 3.5 miles west of Big Surf Water Park and just east of the
Camdenton Walmart.  Ticket holders will be able to go inside and tour each
home.  The following home is one of six homes which will be available to
be toured
Tickets may be purchased in advance for $20 at the following locations:

Headquarters located at the Welcome Center for Lakeside at Cross Creek.
A ticket is required for children older than 2.

This year, proceeds from the Home Tour benefit Kids’ Harbor (an advocacy
center for children) and Lake Regional Cancer Center’s Hope Program.
Also, several scholarships will be awarded to select students.

US F1 Powerboat Tour

The US Formula 1 Powerboat Tour will make it’s only Missouri appearance of the season at The Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland. Friday May 10th’s Test and Tune day will kick off the 2013 season for Formula 1 at the Lucas purpose built boat-racing facility. 140mph highflying action begins Saturday May 11th which will include multiple heats and a finale as the boats accelerate from 0 to 100 mph in 3.5 seconds pulling 6 g’s in the corners. See a full field of boats which will include defending series champion and Florida native Terry Rinker’s Mercury power take on the F1′s winningest driver, mid Missouri native Tim Seebold and his big Johnson power plant. Pits are open to the public.

All Tickets to the US F1 Powerboat Races on Saturday include admission to the Dirt Track Event on Saturday Night
