The future wife and i have looked at a few places on the water. Im worried about getting out of the channel after shelling out every dam penny i ever earned and borrowing 3x more. I would expect not to be able to get out of there right now in the current 20ft boat (21ft with the swim deck after nov 1) this summer i put in over there the weekend of the air show and i think it was about 2 1/2. does anyone know right now how deep it is? Would i be able to get the 20ft out of there all summer? im thinking i would. Family owns a 26 foot pennyan up in henderson, when i upgrade it might be this boat , im sure IT could go anywhere the 20fter could. And what about if theres 4ft rollers out on the big O?, do i have to ride a wave in, or does it calm before getting to the so called channel? Im really not into trying to ride a 26 foot twin screw like a surf board, not saying i cant, dont want to, those props are expensive. Any info on this would be helpfull.

Thanks for all your info, I really think im going to wait now till the bigger boat is in the picture. Ive wanted to upgrade and will but i dont know if it will be this new season or not, iif i get one custom, i dont think i would ever get my money back out of it

Hey guys I have been investigating trout beads as of late and I just wanted if anyone on here uses them effectively and what colors they would prefer. It seems like a interesting way to drift for the steelies and browns and I would be glad to hear any succes stories or useful advice! Thanks guys!

If a stand is left on "Public land" that is state land, It might not have been stolen. The DEC has been known to take down stands on state lands. Here is the law on tree stands on State lands. http://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/wildlife_pdf/09guidemaps.pdf

I do not think you're reading into it at all. I think just like our own mothers, they are more protective of the kids than Dads are. As a result, they know their surroundings better, and oh by the way, we let them go over and over while the bucks get fewer second chances. Then, cloud the male psyche with hormone urges and bucks are apt to make the same mistakes that we woke up next to after an evening of pops at the local drinking establishment.

For the FLX: riggers- Okuma Blue Diamond ML 7'5" great action.
planers (flat)- Eagle claw Starfire 8'6" L
Dipsy(wire) - Talora 7' med fast(it's actually listed by Shimano as a rigger rod)

I don't use those Blue Diamonds on my riggers on Ontario, not near enough rod for Kings, on Ontario I use 6'6" H Ugly stiks on my riggers.
My copper & core rods are Ugly stiks(7' med(short cores and short copper) and Ugly stik 7' MH and H for long coppers.
