Phrases from the Quran appear ’spontaneously’ on baby’s skin: Baby (Quran Baby) is making news in Russia after phrases from the Quran began appearing on his skin.

Verses from the Quran – the Muslim holy book are said to appear on nine-month-old Ali Yakubov’s back, arms, legs and stomach – before apparently fading away and being replaced with new sayings.

Russian medics claimed they are puzzled over the cause of the marks on a baby’s skin, which started when the word Allah apparently appeared on his chin within weeks of his birth.

Medics deny that the marks are from someone writing on the child’s skin.

His mother, Madina, said that she and her husband were not religious until the writings started appearing on his skin.

18 wives, 18 murders: Mohan Kumar, a former teacher in India, has confessed to marrying and murdering 18 women since 2003.

Mohan Kumar, 46, admitted to the murders of the women, aged between 18 and 25 after being detained by police on Wednesday in a case involving a missing girl.

According to media reports, Kumar would approach the girls and tell them that they resembled someone he knew, just to strike up a conversation.

After asking them about their family backgrounds, he would meet them for a few times before proposing marriage. He would insist that his family would not want any dowry, as it is the custom among many ethnic groups in India.

If the woman agreed, he would take her to a temple to get married according to Hindu rites.

Investigations showed that each of his "wives" did have a honeymoon before they were murdered. They were taken to different lodges in Bangalore, Mysore, Hassan and Madikeri in the state of Karnataka.

However, soon after having sex, he would make them swallow cyanide pills, which he would claim were contraceptives pills.

Float-Away Flying Saucer Lands in Colo.; Found Empty: A homemade UFO-like balloon crashes near Denver. It is believed that Falcon Heene, a 6-year-old boy who should be inside the balloon, is missing. The balloon was built by Falcon's father, Richard Heene who is a storm chaser, as an experiment for commuter travel. Both Richard Heene and his wife Mayumi Heene had twice appeared on the ABC show "Wife Swap".

An experimental balloon thought to be carrying a 6-year-old Colorado boy crashed near Denver this afternoon after a harrowing two-hour flight, but officials at the scene did not find the boy aboard the aircraft. Authorities believe Falcon Heene, 6, may have climbed into a box attached to the 20-foot aircraft, described by the Larimer County Sheriff's Office as a "homemade flying saucer," and floated away from his family's backyard in Fort Collins, Colo.

When the aircraft landed and was met by sheriff's officials, neither Falcon nor the box was found.

Kathy Messick, Larimer County sheriff's spokeswoman, says one of the boy's brothers saw him get into the box or basket, which was attached to the aircraft with pegs.

The 20-foot-long, dome-shaped aircraft covered with foil, was built by the boy's father Richard Heene, a former weatherman who said he was designing an aircraft for commuter travel.

Oliver is a forward for the Portland Junior Pirates.
