Salam,

I think empathy is a great thing. When you open yourself towards others, the more you can understand and finally rationalized with them. Its often I saw during meeting there will always be one or two person who cannot accept others opinion.

I think this is not good. Because only when you can hear from others first and do the judgement later or provide better solution, then it was a sign that one have matured.

Being sellfish and hot headed just show that the person is still not matured and cannot make good decision.

This is my 2 cents. Also reminder for myself to be more open towards others when speaking...

Salesman Chinese VS Salesman Melayu

Salam All,

I think there is typical thinking when you relate chinese and malay in economy. And one thing that everyone agrees is that Chinese hold our economy. That can be true also. But What I want to express in this post is the difference between chinese and malay salesman - car salesman to be precise.

See, my family have experience this few times already.

First story: My late father is a regular postman. Wearing blue uniform, riding kapcai motorcycle, come to a Proton Showroom decided few days ago that he wanted to buy a Waja. Arriving to the showroom on EX5 and wearing the uniform, at the moment it was the malay salesman entertained him. With typical look in the eyes like my father have no money, he merely there for him to show him more of the car. With frustated and feeling like he was looked down for make my father leave at ONCE - which is a lost for the MALAY salesguy.

Second story: With same attire and kapcai my father went to another Proton showroom. He really determined as it was a supprise gift for my mother. Its not like we do not have any car at the moment. This time it was a Chinese salesman. He explain the car with full enthusiasm, explaining full feature, choices can be made, option car and many more. After satisfied my father did book the car. Together with quite high amount of deposit because my father do not like have too many loan. We got the car few weeks later.

What I want to point out is, this is the current condition. The mentality for Malays. Most of them are not honest in doing business. Only looking for first impression to judge others. Only entertain high class people and have money. Choosy in doing business or work. This negative thinking. We should all get rid of it. Its like every Malay is typical.

Few years ago same thing happened to my mother when she went to buy Saga BLM. Since I was at Pahang, she went with her friend. With typical makcik appearance no one will bother to attend to her. But there was this Chinese salesman and I really thanked him a LOT because he is willing to help her and make the process went smooth and easy. We still contact to this day. Yesterday we contact him again. Even though he already quit from Proton, he still willing to come and show us. With previous experience, we are happy to have his service again. We decided to take new since my brother will finish college soon.

There was once my mother tell me, when she went to workshop to repair her car - Indian owned workshop (see, my family do not have any issue with races. haha) We've been customer for this workshop for a very long time already. While waiting for her car to finish, there was two malay - wearing smart attire (again...sorry. but what to do? most of shameless things are done by my own race) and their car is finished. But when the boss quote them the price they went like "Eh..mahal nye. 40 ringgit dah lah. Apalah kau ni mahal-mahal." - and drove off. The mechanics dealing with them with shock in his eyes just stand there speechless. This workshop is known for their honesty and cheap service charge. I feel ashamed things like this happened. If I was there I would just yell back "KALAU TAK ADA DUIT TAK PAYAH NAK PAKAI KERETA LAAA!!!! KONON PAKAI SMART2 TAPI DUIT TAKDAK BAIK TAK PAYAAHHH!!"

With good rapport with customer, any salesman will surely be remembered and the customer will return for them. I just hope that the malay one will realize someday, not everyone with smart appearance have money and people with normal appearance don't have money. Hope this is lesson learned by those salesman. I also really hoping that any Malay reading this will change their attitude and mentality to be more positive towards others.

Salam,

For those following my blog since the beginning might notice that my interest is on Japanese female idols. But now has changed to Korea pop music. Well, at least not to specifically enjoying one girl group and ignore the rest. Actually k-pop industry is much more than that. Even their boyband is enjoying to hear and watch. My personal favorite is SNSD, Kara, After School, 2PM. Others I just listen to so-so.

But still, I really cannot leave my original music genre which I knew since secondary school. METAL!!! Slipknot is my all time favorite. Followed by Children of Bodom, Avenged Sevenfold, Deicide, Godsmack, Disturbed, Cromok, Stone Sour and many more which I almost forgot.

Today I went to work with my mp5 player fully loaded with many songs not just metal, but also korean, japanese and many more. But from start of work, I select the menu "Artist" and not "All Songs" like I usually do, and selected - Slipknot. From morning till night, finish work, driving, back at home...still repeating the playlist again and again.

Man...I just love how slipknot sounds. For those who say slipknot is overrated band probably need to restate their opinion. They are not GREAT for their individual abilities, but they are GREAT with their abilities to play as one unit. Their songs are all masterpiece for me. The sound they make is just-very addicting. Just as John Otto of Limp Bizkit drum beats.

p/s: heck...I do miss Limp Bizkit. The whole band is talented. John Otto with great drum lines, heavy riff from Wes Borland, tight bass from Sam Rivers, Dj Lethal and also Fred Durst. But I think the main attraction of Limp Bizkit is also their sound as a team. The sound is so addicting which makes one to play the record again and again...just like slipknot did :D

Salam...

Yeah, its been a looooooooooonnnggggggggg time since my last update. And I already passed through a few phase of my life. Knowing new people, meeting new friends, getting stable in my current job etv2 (used whenever dont know what else to add..guahaha)

I've been active in a local social internet forum, well actually its main topic is FOREX but since it was sponsored by FXOPEN, we managed to organized quite few events like bowling tournament, paintball, fishing and many more which is too much to list.

Just log on to www.nogold.com and register yourself there. It was worth it as everyone is there to make friends, hanging out..heck, I feel we've done a LOT better than Kementerian Belia dan Sukan in promoting healthy lifestyle. Futsal, football, snooker, paintball, fishing, we do it ALL!! Made quite a number of new friends there. Although most are older than me, they are experienced and their knowledge really do me good.

About my job at SONY, few months back I handed my resignation letter. I just lost all my motivation to go to work and heck...I clock in for I dont know why. As soon as I clock in, I keep on watching the clock waiting for time to go back. Everyone is just soooo sellfish there. Office politics is something I cannot handle. I like to be judge by performance, and in my opinion I did well but it was not appreciated.

With Automount plant is combined (all three plant - video, tv and north plant), my workload has skyrocketed. No additional manpower given yet I have to handle monthly maintenance, quarterly maintenance and breakdown. It still does not include all pending items, special projects, new machine installation and many2 more. At last I made my final decision to resign and look for another job. I did look for advice from my more experienced friend from the online forum (well, we kinda good friends since we always hang out together for activities) and most of them advice me to stay and try to settle down. Hmm...I guess its really not working when I handed my resignation letter.

Fortunately my boss is someone who can be tolerated. He did advice me on few things, we did some discussion and I got my manpower needed when the Orga is announced. I feel a huge burden is lifted off my shoulder as I got an experienced member to support me.

Plus to help me advance, I got to takeover other machine. Means a lot more machine under my care. For some maybe giving me another extra job on my resignation day is not a good decision, but in someway it does help me to settle more. I am a workaholic perhaps. or maybe just plain Gila Kuasa case. Now the new machine is under me for nearly 2 months and there is still many problems to be settled regarding operation, programs and many more.

Hopefully I can settle the probems in near future, and after that maybe I am ready to takeover other type of machine. I have so many ideas on what to improve, if only I have all the time and chances...

Ok lah...type quite a lot today. But still I have so much story to tell. After not blogging and keep my life journal updated makes me kept everything inside and somehow this feeling make my heart get rotten every day.

I'll just update in next post then :D

Actually, it depends on your needs. What criteria you make when you buy your television.

I found this article discussing about various kind of technology used for television.

Here is some information so you can make your own decision:

With all of the various TV display technologies on the market today (Plasma, DLP, LCD, etc.), it is important to understand the basic pro’s and con’s of the display technologies used in manufacturing High Definition TVs. First, here are the dominant types of displays available today:

- Direct view tube CRT
- Flat panel LCD
- Plasma
- Rear projection LCD
- Rear projection DLP
- Rear projection CRT
- Rear projection LCoS

What makes a plasma TV better than a direct tube CRT? Why would I choose a rear-projection TV over an LCD? Each type of display has inherent advantages and disadvantages associated with the technology used in manufacturing the display. The following guide provides a synopsis which should help you understand relevant points to consider when deciding which HDTV display type is right for you.

Direct-view CRT HDTV Displays

CRT stands for “cathode ray tube" and is the type of TV we are all most familiar with. Chances are, if you have a TV that is 5 or more years old, you have a CRT TV. Despite their age, CRT displays still offer a lot of bang for your buck.

The main advantages of CRT’s include:
- Flat screen – which provides wide viewing angles (most new CRT’s built today have flat screens, but you will still find a few that have are manufactured with curved screens)
- Outstanding picture quality
- Relatively inexpensive in all sizes
- No danger of burn-in
- Capable of producing true blacks

Sounds great, so why are CRT displays losing market share new display technology like plasmas and LCD’s?
- Bulky size and very heavy weight
- Maximum screen size is limited to approximately 36"

To give you an idea of what is meant by “bulky" and “very heavy", a typical 27" flat screen CRT will weigh around 100-120 lbs, a typical 30" flat screen CRT will weigh about 150 lbs and a typical 36" flat screen CRT will tip the scales at about 200-225 lbs. At over 200 lbs., that kind of weight is going to require at least 2 strong people to lift it up onto the TV stand.

CRT’s are also much larger in terms of depth. A typical 27" CRT measures 20" deep, a typical 34" CRT measures 24" deep, and a typical 36" CRT measures 26" deep.

Why should I choose a flat screen CRT over a curved screen CRT?

The answer is two-fold:
1) Having a flat-screen will allow for wider viewing angles, so that you can those people sitting on the left and right sides of the TV also have a good view of the images being displayed.
2) Having a flat screen will allow you to view the picture as it was meant to be seen, without any of the stretching in images that is associated with a curved tube. A curved tube has inherent flaws that cause the image to be “stretched" as it reaches the edges of the screen. While this may not be an important feature for you, I would encourage you to look at a flat screen and a curved screen side-by-side. The difference in image quality will be much more apparent.

Flat panel LCD HDTV Displays

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display and is the type of TV you will be familiar with if you have seen the flat-panel LCD monitors used with many newer computers. The same technology is also used in LCD TV’s.

The main advantages of LCD’s include:
- Flat screen – but see below for note on the viewing angles- Thin, lightweight and stylish looking
- High resolution and excellent picture quality
- No danger of burn-in

Flat panel LCD’s main disadvantages: - Relatively narrow viewing angles- Expensive in sizes over 30" - Incapable of producing true blacks

To give you an idea of what “thin" and “lightweight" means, a typical 27" to 30" LCD will weigh about 40-50 lbs, a 32" LCD will weigh about 50-55 lbs, a 37" LCD will weigh about 60-65 lbs. These types of TV’s are thin and light enough to be hung on a wall.

Plasma HDTV Displays

While plasma displays used to be much too expensive for the average Sunday football fan, they have come down in price enough to become a very attractive choice for many HDTV shoppers. Having said that, you will more than likely still pay more for a big-screen plasma TV than a similarly sized rear-projection display. What makes plasma TV’s so attractive?
- Flat screen with very wide viewing angles
- Very thin and lightweight
- High resolution with deep, saturated colors
- Excellent picture quality (especially for home theater)

Plasma’s main disadvantages:
- Fairly expensive compared to other HDTV display types
- Slight potential for burn-in
- Limited lifespan

To clarify “thin" and “lightweight", a typical 42" plasma will weigh between 50-90 lbs, a 50" plasma will weigh about 80-110 lbs. These types of TV’s are thin and light enough to be hung on a wall.

Rear projection HDTV Displays

Rear projection TV’s are an economical choice for a large sized TV and they still offer excellent picture quality. They are, however, too large to be hung on a wall and work best when placed on a TV stand (or on the floor in the case of rear projection CRT’s). The most economical type of rear projection display is the rear projection CRT.

Rear projection CRT HDTV's offer:
- Flat screen
- Relatively low cost
- Excellent picture quality (especially for home theater)

Rear projection CRT’s main disadvantages:
- Very heavy and very bulky
- Narrow viewing angles
- Image visibility suffers in brightly lit rooms

Very heavy and bulky is a nice way of saying that rear projection CRT’s are HUGE. A typical 48" rear projection CRT weighs 150 lbs. and is a little less than 24" deep, a typical 56" rear projection CRT weighs almost 200 lbs. and is over 2 feet deep, a typical 65" rear projection CRT weighs 300 lbs. and is over 2 feet deep, and a typical 73" rear projection CRT weighs over 400 lbs. – now THAT is a huge TV!

Rear projection LCD, DLP and LCoS HDTV Displays

These types of rear projection HDTV displays are also referred to as microdisplays. They work by using a lamp that bounces light off of or through a tiny pixel-filled microchip and onto the screen.

Rear projection LCD’s offer these advantages:
- Flat screen with good viewing angles
- Thin and lightweight compared to CRT
- Not susceptible to image burn-in
- No “rainbow effect" artifacts that are sometimes found in rear-projection DLP TV’s
- Excellent picture quality (especially for home theater)

Rear projection LCD’s main disadvantages:
- Fairly expensive
- Slight delay when powering up
- Lamp replacement required periodically
- Possibility for “screen door effect" artifacts

Rear projection DLP’s offer these advantages:
- Flat screen with good viewing angles
- Thin and lightweight compared to rear projection CRT
- Not susceptible to image burn-in
- No “screen door effect" artifacts that are sometimes found in rear-projection LCD TV’s
- Excellent picture quality (especially for home theater)

Rear projection DLP’s main disadvantages:
- Fairly expensive
- Slight delay when powering up
- Lamp replacement required periodically
- Possibility for “rainbow effect" artifacts

LCoS, D-ILA and SXRD
These technologies are all variations on the same manufacturing process that utilizes liquid crystal on silicon (hence the acronym LCoS). However, implementation of this display technology differs significantly from one manufacturer to the next, so it is impossible to lay out common pro’s and con’s of the technology itself. Each TV with this type of technology will have different characteristics for image quality, viewing angle and cost. I recommend researching each manufacturer and their specific models featuring LCoS in order to compare their benefits and drawbacks to other display types.

Conclusion
There are lots and lots of choices online and in stores today for new TV’s. Enter into the television section of any Best Buy or Circuit City and you’ll get bombarded with a myriad of options for plasma, LCD, direct-view tube and rear-projection TV’s. What you choose for your new TV will either brings you hundreds of hours of enjoyment watching movies, sports and news or will bring you many hours of frustration by not choosing the best type of TV for your needs. My hope is that this information will give you the knowledge, and the confidence, to make the right decision for your next TV purchase.

My note: For me, CRT does have best quality, and still do. Unless every channel is broadcasting in Full HD format, CRT wins in picture quality. Because for me, I use my TV only to watch Astro. Not playing PS3 or Blu ray movie. Seems like LCD is a failure, unable to reach its best quality with competitive price range. Resulting introdution of new technology, LED panel, with longer lifespan, better picture quality and better frame refresh rate. Seems like the LED panel is capable to view normal broadcast channel with its quality, unlike LCD which make the image less bright, not sharp and some other effect.

I WAS JUST POSTING MY OPINION. DONT JUDGE ME BY SAYING LCD IMAGE IS BETTER, BECAUSE ITS NOT!! New technology is introduced, since they can no longer improve LCD image for lower cost. High end LCD can price up to tenth of thousands ringgit. New 7 series Samsung LED seems promising. Image is very beautiful. hopefully after few other maker introduce their model the price will go down.

Choosing your gadget ^_^

I was known for someone who is not up to date with technology. Not because I hate it. Indeed I love technology. But I dont feel the need for me to go for it.

I look for technology when i find it was necessary in my life. Not just because I root for it.

Some people just too confuse on what to get from the market with sooo many selection of gadget and stuff, all with their own pros n cons.. Hopefully this guide will help in choosing the right one fit your style, and your budget

First of all, think what do you want..what is your needs. Do you want it for style, fashion, trend follower, u use it frequently and so on. Some people dont really know about the gadget they bought, since they bought it because everyone else have it. Getting the idea of your perfect gadget will really help.

Ok, for me I look for practicality. I like to be efficient and practical. For me, I would go for all-in-one type.

Usually, everything which is available in a decent smartphone.

My criteria will be:

Ease of use - Sony ericson is a pain in the ass for me
GPS - mainly because I dont really know places
WiFi - to access free internet whenever I went outside/emergncy
Multimedia Player - mp3, videos, movie..everything in one while traveling or working alone
Decent camera - to snap sudden event
Tough - I'm not too good with handling

For me, this whole stuff was readily available in Nokia N95. Unfortunately the GPS is too weak and hardly get any signal, forcing me to look for another model.

One perfect gadget for me would be OMNIA II, but since my budget too tight and price still high, I have to change my ideal phone no ExpressMusic 5730.

Among all Nokia release, I think this one fits me most. it has GPS, wifi, 3.2 MP carl zeiss camera, multimedia player. Plus it also has qwerty keyboard with good feel when using (since my hand is quite large), and also dedicated game button to play games..which i found very convenient

N-gage game pre-installed and they were very exciting. Plus they gave 1 free activation key to any of the games.

QWERTY keyboard is really useful especially when surfing the net. you can easily navigate using the D-pad and also type easily.

GPS respond is very fast too. The receiver is strong enough to capture signal eventhough during rainy or cloudy days.

For me, this handphone fits me very well. I dont have to buy another mp3 player, gps unit, small laptop or portable game console since i have it in this one compact gadget.

Let say I choose to spend on all these item separately:

PSP: RM600

GPS: RM700

MP3 player: RM200

Small laptop: RM1200

Total: RM2700

But with xpressmusic 5730, i spend RM1050 for all the stuff i need. Yeah...its worth it.

Pada tepat jam 1030 pagi tadi, saya beserta seluruh AJK Bertindak Rumah
Pangsa Kos Rendah PKNS 4 Tingkat telah menyerahkan MEMORANDUM
MENGENAI KEMELUT PEMBANGUNAN SEMULA TANAH DI TAPAK
RUMAH PANGSA KOS RENDAH PKNS 4 (EMPAT) TINGKAT, KG.
KERINCHI, KUALA LUMPUR SERTA PAMPASAN KEPADA PEMILIK
RUMAH BERKENAAN kepada YAB Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim melalui
Setiausaha Politik beliau, YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
Daripada maklumat yang diterima, jelas bahawa pembangunan semula ini
penuh kontroversi, kepincangan dan manipulasi yang akhirnya meminggirkan
hak penduduk rumah pangsa tersebut. Tentunya semua ini membangkitkan
kebimbangan serius saya selaku Ahli Parlimen kawasan setempat.
Mereka yang merupakan pembeli unit-unit rumah pangsa tersebut telah
dikerah berpindah dalam upacara penyerahan kunci pada hari Rabu, 2
Disember dengan kehadiran pimpinan UMNO kawasan yang dilihat lebih
berkuasa daripada DBKL sendiri. Pemindahan sementara ditempatkan di
PPR yang diselenggarakan oleh DBKL sedangkan status tanah di mana
rumah pangsa tersebut bertempat masih tidak dimaklumkan dengan jelas.
Pemilik Rumah Pangsa tersebut adalah pemilik benefisiari setelah membuat
Perjanjian Jual Beli dengan PKNS lebih 30 tahun yang lalu. Pada tahun 2006
pemilik dimaklumkan bahawa PKNS telah menjual tapak tanah dimana
Rumah Pangsa milik mereka dibina kepada pihak Ketiga untuk dimajukan
dengan PKNS bertindak sebagai Pemegang Amanah. (Lampiran 1)
Tawaran pampasan untuk perpindahan telah dilakukan dan JKB tidak
berpuashati dengan tawaran yang diberikan oleh Pemaju pertama dikatakan
Maha Construction and Development Berhad yang kemudiannya ditukar
kepada Amanah Raya Berhad. Manakala dalam borang kaji selidik DBKL
menyatakan bahawa projek pembangunan semula telah dikategorikan di
bawah projek kerajaan serta kenyataan terbaru Menteri Wilayah Persekutuan
bahawa projek pembangunan tersebut akan dibuat melalui tender terbuka
(Lampiran 2, 3 dan 4)
Beberapa isu pokok seperti berikut perlu dipersoalkan:
Bagaimana tanah PKNS ini diserahkan kepada pemaju dan kenapakah
mantan Ketua Bahagian UMNO Lembah Pantai bertindak sebagai jurucakap
bagi projek pembangunan ini dan berterusan meminta agar penduduk
menyerahkan surat pemegang kuasa kepada pemaju?

Kenapa perumahan awam DBKL digunakan sebagai tempat menyimpan
penghuni rumah pangsa tersebut untuk 3 tahun sewa berbayar? Siapa
sebenarnya pemaju dan kenapa gesaan untuk berpindah dilakukan oleh
DBKL atas arahan Menteri Wilayah Persekutuan?
Justeru, memorandum ini diserahkan kepada YAB Tan Sri Dato’ Khalid
membantu merungkaikan dilema pemilik Rumah Pangsa tersebut serta
penduduk setempat dalam mendapatkan status milikan tanah, serta perincian
pelan pembangunan untuk kawasan yang merangkumi Rumah Pangsa ini jika
benar ia akan dibangunkan. Kami bukan menolak pembangunan, tetapi
sebarang proses yang dijalankan perlu mengikut prosedur serta tatacara yang
telus, profesional dan adil.

Headphone and Speaker

Question: Why one would choose to buy a Rm100 headphone while he can get a decent speaker set?

Answer: Because RM100 headphone give rich nice booming sound then crappy-lousy-out of beat RM100 decent speaker.

I was once keep throwing question like above many times in my mind. But the thing is, during that time, I never had a chance to get in my hand a quality headphone. Around me was only Altec Lansing and Sonic Gear...which for me is already good that time since my speaker is RM100 category.

So, the quality one would get from these headphone was kinda lousy. So the mindset was, "it is better to get a speaker as we can get the beat and vibration!!".

After get the taste of good headphone, even with a lousy headphone amplifier..the sound was SUPERB!!! Even more satisfying than my current speaker setup. The sound is just rich. It was really satisfying, well, I should say only decent to my ear. If got budget would go for better headphone.

For same price, if you are looking for something that really satisfy your ear, look for headphone.

To get same sound result, nice, rich, beautifully from a speaker is just too PRICEY!!! The whole setup was expensive. Normal setup as can be found at electronic shop only gonna satisfy minors. With more sensitive ear, who want more clarity, richness of sound a speaker can produce...one have to spend thousands of Ringgit.

Huhu..Wenger is selling again. This time its Adebayor. If he really want to sell, he should do so last season when Adebayor value is off the roof. Now he is not as producing as last season, his value has dropped.

I am not worried though as Arsenal is now full of strikers. We have cool finisher like Eduardo and Carlos Vela, Van Persie, hardworkin Jay Simpson, soon to get better or worse Bendtner and quick pace Walcott.

I really hope Jay Simpson will get his chance at Arsenal first team next season. He is really talented and hardworking. Even Bendtner get his chances. I suppose next season Vela will shine.

Back to Adebayor, he really is strong for aerial battle. Just look at how many goals he scored by header. And he can shrug off defender in the air. He is an asset for that matter. But overall as a striker, his finishing is poor.

Compared to eduardo, he is cool enough to score a beautiful goal without hesitation. Make it getting surrounded by 4 defender he'll sure to find a way to get the ball went to the net. So does Vela. Its rare to see him miss the chance. Maybe the experience is not enough causing him not to produce last season.

Hmm, I've read about other clubs targetting Clichy. Well, being one of the best left back in the world will surely make him a target. But Arsenal still need him even though Gibbs has the potential to replace him. Gibbs really is magnificent. I cant stop thinking about him playing in that position. I knew that he played as a winger previously. At first, I think Wenger moving him to play lower is because he cannot play well.

And as usual, Wenger did his magic touch to Gibbs. Another player who shines after changing position. Anyway, we did poorly last season only because of there is a LOT of our main player get injured. And its the same for the last-last-season. And season before that. Its like a curse or something when all of the player getting injured for a very long period.

With full strength, I believe Arsenal is the most complete squad in the world. Maybe we need to improve or looking for defensve midfielder. And I think that is the only weak part. Gallas is getting ready to get his ass off...so bye2 Gallas. We need another central defender too.ahahahaha

Memancing...New Experience

Last saturday I went to some felda in Pahang, sending my friend who moved back to his kampung. For our help, my generous friend promised to bring us to go fishing at fishing pond in the village.

I've never gone to fishing before, just once when me and friend went to Bagan Lalang for a camping and they lent me their equipment. I dont even know how to tie anything, totally leave it to them as they were the one who really insist me to join.haha~

Anyway, back to fishing at pond. Few days earlier, me and one of my friend went to fishing shop, to buy my first reel. I'm looking for just fine for me, so I took the one with rm18 price tag. hehhe~

As for machine, I took the one bundled there...I asked the shopkeeper to select me a good one for beginner and he give me one of those with rm35 price. Anyway, I spend around rm80 for whole thing. The shopkeeper also teach me how to use the machine as I never own one and not familiar with anything about fishing.

So, that saturday, 3pm we went to the fishing pont. There is already few villagers, I assume they were regular as they quite know each other). After 15min I throw my bait, my fish rod already snapped. I dont know how to react as the fish is quite a pull. Seeing me getting blur with the fish rod, my friend take over. And we manage to land a Rohu fish, around 2kg in weight.

Then, after half hour, my fish rod snapped again. I was excited since I miss the action for the first one. I quickly grab my rod. As I started turning the wheel, it wont turn because the load is very heavy. Cant even pull 1cm. Even the fish rod was bend like hell (my rod is only for 5kg load). After holding for few minutes, the fish manage to escape. Huhu..and I really regreted that moment. If only I spend bit more money to buy better rod, if only I know how to play with the fish...arghh. My friend says it probably a Patin, 5-6kilos. And thats quite a big catch.

After another hour, My fish rod snapped again. Yes!!! This time, after I watch how the others who succesfully land their fish, i try how I look at it and the way I understand it...after a few minutes, I landed another Rohu. It was larger than the first one. Cool!!! Its nice when I have landed the fish. After long time of waiting, and we get the result it is really nice.

My other 2 friends has yet get their rod snapped and they are quite frustated as I was only a beginner. After a while they got theirs but maybe because the fish is too big, it got away.

End up in the evening I was the only one going back with something. Hehhe~

During our way going back home, we chatted about whole funny stuff happened when fishing and their frustation towards me. Haha...what can I say. It is beginners luck :p

Anyway, its a nice experience. Near my house is Sungai Langat and I always see people fishing there. There is even one morning when I saw this one guy caught a very huge fish, maybe around 8-10kilos from the size from the sungai. Even though Sg Langat quite brownish in color because its in the city, I never thought there is big fish there.

Maybe will spend my weekend there relaxing while fishing in the future. New hobby perhaps, Hehehe~

Yesterday when i got back from work, i was in hurry since i was called back that evening. Just wanted to get home early...

Then have this stupid fella driving skyline r34 at slow speed. Right lane btw!! So i just give him high beam...ahahahahahahahahahaha

I feel funny because i was driving proton saga which is using one of the poorest performance engine in market yet I was giving high beam to a Skyline GTR!!! That fella just plain stupid, saving on fuel I guess...he quickly give way in scared manner (can see he changed lane like giving way for ambulance etc)...so i just passed that fella. Being thankful for him quickly changing his lane knowing he is driving slow.

He should just keep his car under the hood if want to drive that slow. Drive a Viva instead. No need expensive car. That will just disgrace the car reputation...haihh...Malaysian driver sucks (including me...ahahahaha...one crazy driver on road bebeh - average speed of 100kmph)

LCD VS CRT...upgrade perhaps?

LCD is something almost everyone into at the moment. LCD monitor, LCD tv...

Its slim, stylish design, widescreen and everyone will fall for that. But I still root for CRT. For me, CRT is still the best. Of course LCD technology is catching up with whats lacking but still, the technology is expensive. Plus, the propaganda of the radiation of CRT boost sales on LCD because of the health concern. Heck...we live in radiation everyday and its already part of our modern life. Minimal CRT radiation wont kill you, or getting you a cancer. People should concern more on the smokes of cigaretes and when walking out there on streets. Radiation from handphone is much more serious, and if its not for marketing new evolution of handphone, they wont bring this matter up.Duh~

There is a BIG possibility for me to buy a new PC this May as I will getting my first bonus. Hehhehe~ So I have been thinking, should I change my monitor to LCD? hmm...I'm a CRT lover. Haha. I'm all over CRT. My TV set is still a CRT, my 2nd monitor for my laptop is CRT...some of my friends root for LCD and say I should go for one. Hmm...is it time already?

For me, CRT is better because it can produce better picture. The color and contrast is much better than LCD. Yeah, its bulky, hideous, ugly...but as long as I get better picture it will all be good. I only use laptop since its the only multimedia thingy I have since my student time. And once, I saw my friend connect a CRT to his laptop as his laptop LCD problem and the picture is 10x better. The color, the tone...everything. And thats the moment I totally devote myself for this old technology.

Hehhe. Another thing is, CRT unlike LCD gives clear image no matter from any angle you watch. You can lay down, watch from side, anywhere and the quality is the same, unless you look from the back...Duh~

LCD in the other hand is much more lighter than CRT, and less eye strain compared to CRT. And also consume less power. I dont care much of this though, since the monitor is sticked in only one place and not going to move it around. But thats just where it ends. Good point of LCD is lower power consumption and less eye strain after watching for a period of time. Much more expensive LCD will give good picture quality matching CRT. But still, its the money we are talking about.

People going for LCD to get better graphics are bull and nonsense. Its just a marketing strategy. Even pros will use CRT as LCD is still behind in quality. Try to watch normal videos in those so called HD LCD TV...the image is pathetic. It is sure not something I would pay for. If the meaning to get beautiful picture is to spend every cent of my hard earned money..thats just stupid. Its better to stay with CRT and watch normal quality video with very good picture.

So, for upgrade to LCD during this time...maybe a No no for me. Haha. To upgrade, better make it really satisfying. If its just for the sake of getting LCD because everybody has one...thats just wasting money. For me, an upgrade is something you'll satisfy for a long period...maybe 3-4 years. And with LCD is still expensive ( a good one) I think I'll stick with CRT monitors.

With the same price of LCD, I can get a larger CRT. RM485 for a 17" LCD? hmm...too pricey. Yes, I can get cheaper LCD but in long run, this LCD is getting cheaper and its not worth it haha...wat the heck i'm using large monitor though. hmm..17" or 19" CRT is enough for me. And it will only cost me RM100. guahahahaha

CRT pros:

Better picture, color
Good viewing angle
High refresh rate

CRT cons:

Heavy, bulky, ugly
high power consumption
eye straining after some time
radiation???

LCD pros:

Lightweight, stylish
low power
less eyestrain

LCD cons:

Have certain resolution
Blur image on fast moving objects
Loss in color quality
Bad viewing angle (not same case for more expensive LCD)
Pricey~

I'm getting sick watching high resolution videos downloaded stuck at my laptop sceeen.

Try download something which has LARGE file size and end up not able to play it because of its resolution. Thats just BORING...

URGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Totally getting new pc with powerful graphic so that I can play high reso videos. I want to watch SNSD and WG dancing and singing!!!!

This evening I had a chat with one of my coleague at workplace. My fellow engineer has got an offer to other job, and so he went as the offer is kinda hard to resist. Even I would go if I got the offer. Hehhe~

And so we chat, about this one friend of mine is already leaving. She then asked, when will I go then? And laugh it off...

I just replied maybe not in a short while since my home is very near to workplace and I'm quite settled already. After a while, she asked my about my age. Well, I just answered as I normally do...I'm 23, going to turn into 24 by this September. She was like...very supprised.

"You only 23 meh..??!!!! So young!!"... =..=

and so does the clerk who sits behind her...She also say a bit supprised knowing my age. They claimed I'm the youngest there (Engineer, in that particular department). Hmm...too early to be an engineer or I'm just too lucky to get into this position before my graduation, not even officially end my study (my semester ends on november and I started my job on september).

I guess its just rezeki god want me to have. And i'm really thankful for that. With this hard earned salary I was able to give some spending money for my mom, give her present on her birthday, buy stuff I wanted for so long and give my brother and sister more comfortability with internet and better tv reception.

Alhamdullilah...

SONY MDR-XD200, Studio Monitor Series Headphones Review

Today I went to Sony Style to look for headphones. I was looking for something priced less than RM100, to buy for my brother. My Altec Lansing headphone is still in good condition, I took extra care when using it since from previous experience my headphone never last long.

Sometime ago, I am using Philips. Bought it with a bargain price, RM80 before seeing it again in a fair and sold at RM140. Never thought the original price is that pricey. I sold it to a friend anyway. Its a good headphone, nice bass...just the treble is to sharp cutting through my ear. hahaha. I'm used to listen music at very high volume (even now)

Back to review, I bought this headphone with staff price at Sony Style at Jaya Jusco Tmn Equine. Looking for something with bass, but the guy there recommend me this gear as another one labeled "Super Bass" is just a super bass. Other sound is not satisfying as he himself using this headphone (pffttt...every seller using this sentence...I just not falling for it again).

So I bought MDR-XD200. Tested there using Sony MP3 player and as I was trying for bass music, went through quite a song and it was satisfying.

MDR-XD200 has 40mm driver (normal headphone in this price range has 32mm driver), 3.5m chord, 70 ohm impedence (other headphone has 35 ohm, higher impedance is better for more power). Doesnt have volume control at the chord. Ear pad covers ear fully and very comfortable. Unfortunately, its not a noise cancelation phone even though it looks like a closed type phone. Its actually semi-closed. There is a bit gap at the pad leaking the sound. It has switch at side of earpad between movies and music (but the difference is hardly noticable).

When arrived home, first thing I tested was the bass (I'm a bass lover)...and I crash to pieces...

As I was using Philips Aurilium PCS805 usb soundcard, for speaker usage, I set the bass for max. When I plug in this headphone, the bass was very distorted. Afraid it would damage the driver I quickly stop the music. Even Wonder Girls - This Fool song also crashed like hell. It does not reach that bass level.

What I do is, minimize the bass equalizer setting until minimum and up the level bit by bit to check distortion level. After reaching the middle, its the maximum for this headphone. I just had to satisfy with that. The music sounds good after that. Listening to rich bass music, I can only turn up the volume to certain level - 40% or the sound will get distorted.

As for the treble, its really great. Crisp and sharp. Listening to Sweet Child of Mine and Yngwie Malmsteen is great. The guitar sound is crisp and nice.

Tested watching movie Die Hard 4.0 and the sound for movie is really great (for headphone at this price range). Voice is clear and so does the background.

Conclusion:

Overall, the sound is nice. Its just that the bass is not reaching my expectation. This headphone would perfectly match to those looking for a good headphone for music and movies. Sounds is balance as the bass not overpower (but i look for something with very good bass). Maybe after hundred hour of usage the sound quality will improve. Will totally recommend this phone to anyone not looking for overpowering bass (you should look for other alternative for that purpose). This phone is considered low end and should not be considered audiophile material. Comparing it with other phone in higher price just not make sense. huhu~

Do pay more for whole lot better sound...but yet, price does not always speak the quality ;)

Pros:

- Very very very good sound quality

- need to turn very loud to distort (which is what I did firstly..ahahaha)

- long chord

- big earpad, comfortable to wear for long hours

- looks cool

Cons:

- should have better bass

- movie <-> music switch function is hardly noticable, in fact no changes at all

BLUE!!

I just bought my aquarium blue fluorescent. Yes..BLUE is nice ;)

Read about blue is non-stress color for fishes, so thinking about buying one. Looking for it at electrical shop, but they have none of this blue light.

Hmm...so on sunday (I just got my paycheck), so I head on to aquarium shop to see if there is any interesting stuff to buy. And as I was walking out....THERE IT IS!!! Just at the entrance of the shop and I never realize all this while. Ahahahaha...feel a bit stupid for a moment there. And I just standing there at the entrance of the shop laughing like a moron. Hahha~

I choose moon light blue (it sounds nice) but also a bit pricey. Hhuhu...RM21. Dont know whether I was ripped off or its really the price, I just pay the price and walk out the shop.

When I got back home, it is already dark...7pm like that. I turn on the aquarium light...and it was really beautiful. The fish kinda like it either. Whenever I turn on the blue light, they will be more active swimming around the area. Even the Koi is active. The aquarium is more lively with blue color.Hehhe~

Yaa haa!!! Sorry that I've missed out this Sate entry (as promised in last 2 post)..aahahahaha

XMorfis forum has organized a gathering located at Sate Hj Samuri at Bangunan Dato' Nazir branch. We enjoy a lot of sate that day. For me, I'm not that excited about sate since its easy to get there anytime from my house and I'm not a big fan of sate. hahha~

Oh well, everything goes well. Bunch of groups arrived early and lepak at my house first. And I'm thankful to Mr Nox and Mr Yus because letting me copy a bunch of SNSD videos from their hdisc totalled about 100GB!! guahahaha~ Including photos, videos and tv performance. Sadly they didnt bring any concert videos :p

Anyway, below is among the pictures we manage to snapped. huahuahua~ Its nice to have a meet up with a group of friends when we only meet up on the net and not seeing face to face regularly. Hope there will always another gath like this organized in the future ;)

Situasi aku:

Kat kilang aku ada sorang technician dan operator kerja sebagai satu team. technician kaum bukan melayu, manakala operator adalah melayu. Masalah aku sekarang adalah operator. Masalah kehadiran, kerja tak betul, malas, tak ambil berat pasal kerja...haihh

Pasal masalah kehadiran aku slow talk je dgn dia, malas nak bawak naik sampai ke bos...ye lah, orang kita. Takkan nak dajalkan macam tu je. Tapi bila dah slow talk tak lepas...maka aku pun naik hangin.

Hari ni patut dia datang, oleh sebab tak ada transport, aku sudi jemput dia dekat kawasan dekat2 rumah dia (dia takda transport, naik bas kilang je). OK..malam sebelum tu, aku balik kilang pukul 1. Aku msg suruh tunggu pukul 645 sebab nak clock in pukul 7 (boleh balik cepat sikit), tapi dia demand...awal sangat. So aku reply tunggu pukul 745 jelah, clock in pukul 8. Maka aku pun bangun awal2, prepare awal2 dengan mata ngantuk (kalau tak payah jemput dia aku boleh la gerak lambat sikit)...end up dia wat taik...taik mata la. Aku call banyak kali, tak angkat. Aku tunggu sampai 750, tgk2 tak datang2. Aku pun drive sampai depan rumah dia. Aku ketuk pintu kalau2 dia terjaga n boleh la pergi sama. Ye lah, operator, gaji banyak mana...sekarang bukan zaman kilang senang2 nak bagi OT. Ketuk bagai nak rak, dengan call tak berjawab, aku tinggalkan rumah dia dengan perasaan bengang yang teramat.

Dah la tak ada orang nak support buat monthly maintenance, aku pulak tak pasal2 masuk lambat. Gile apa...sampai petang tak ada message atau pun apa2 maklumat nak bagitau tak dapat datang ke, sakit ke. Aku tak kisah la kalau tak dapat datang, aku boleh arrange supaya kerja nanti takde la load, bajet schedule utk 2 orang je lah.

Oh ye..sebab dalam kehanginan itu, maka aku terlepas carutan aku dalam sms pada waktu pagi. Kerana dia telah khianati kepercayaan aku kat dia. Padahal malam sebelum tu bila aku dah delaykan waktu..dia reply.. "no problem".

Kat kilang macam lah alim sangat, pergi surau nak cepat2...sanggup tinggal kerja padahal masa dah terhad untuk setelkan kerja. Aku lepaskan je, takkan nak halang orang g surau. Padahal waktu rehat dah dekat, apa salahnya pergi surau waktu rehat tu.

Tadi baru satu sms dari mamat nih masuk...wah...sebab aku carut satu perkataan, aku adalah pesalah. Dia tak takut dengan aku, dia tak hormat aku luar kilang...Bagi aku OK, fine. Walhal dia tak ingat dia penah pinjam duit dengan aku nak balik kampung sampai sekarang tak bayar aku tak ungkit2. Aku kat kuantan, sanggup aku pergi carik atm jap transfer duit ke akaun dia. Ok...fine. Tapi yang aku kecewa...macam ni la orang melayu. Sampai bila nak jadi macam ni? Kalau kerja pun malas, ada kerja macam taknak kerja...tak ada kerja salah kan kerajaan tak bagi kerja sambil duduk kat rumah isap rokok borak dengan membe2 cakap sekarang susah carik kerja. Bila dah ada kerja...tak nak kerja.

Tak paham aku...ya. Aku adalah skema bila belajar, bekerja...dan hal2 serius. Walaupun aku tak berapa sukakan kerja, tapi aku fikir, gaji aku dibayar...kalau aku tak kerja, rezeki tu tak halal. Aku kerja pun bukan untuk orang, tapi untuk syarikat, maknanya semua dalam syarikat sama2 berusaha satu sama lain.

Tapi bila jumpa melayu macam ni...aku betul2 lemah la. Nak dikenakan tindakan, umur baru berapa. Kang tak ada kerja, nak makan apa pulak.

Kalau korang dalam situasi aku...apa korang akan buat ye?

New toy for my fishes XD

Already got this month salary, and the first thing I spend on is for my aquarium. Hahha~

I'm really into aquarium lately. Just that dont have much time during weekday. Now that I have 2 tanks, the big one has Lampam, Puyu, Kelah, and Koi. Quite lively in the aquarium since all of them is in pair.

While in smaller tank I decided to keep Guppy. Cute small fish and easy to take care. I bought a live plant to fill the tank with guppy. Well, I think it will die though (the plant) since I didnt prepare CO2 or any sand for support. I'm just trying to see whether it can live or not.ahahahaha

I also took my mums perfume oil burner which she didnt use as a house in the tank. Now the guppy have a place to hide.muahaha. Also added my green light which usually I place at my bed head for late nite reading. After arranging and everything, the tank looks really nice in dark. Added few more guppy, and now its like mating season for them...the male is chasing around the female. Goshh..can you guys wait till nite or do it in the "room"? gyahaahahha~ I also installed pump for more oxigen. Well, guppy doesnt need it actually. just adding it for the fish to play around the air bubbles.

In big tank I add stones and a barrel for fish to play hide n seek. guahahaha. At first they are scared and wouldnt even go near the barrel. After few hours playing then Lampam take first hand to get in there...it panicked to find a way out, and went out through other hole. And it went in again, and again and again...followed by other fish. Haha~ I'm happy they accept the new toy well. Last few days, I noticed that my fish swimming posture is weird. I kinda worried because maybe I did something wrong with the water. Yesterday morning when I went to aquarium shop and ask the guy there if the fish is sick. He said if thats the case then the fish is sick, and without further action it will get sicker. He said probably anti-chlorine I add is not enough or not enough salt. So I bought chlorine tester kit and test the water from the tank. The chlorine level is fine, so it must be the salt. I add in some kitchen salt to the tank. Also added a yellow medicine the shop suggested. The fish calm down a bit after water change and after all action taken above. I just leave it there and monitor by hour to see if there is any improvement.

This morning, I woke up and check on my fish. Everyone is well again. They also swimming straight and no more off balance. Hahaha. So happy now that they are fine. From this day onwards, I shall do chlorine test before replacing the water in the tank.

Brand or Specs??

There are many brands in the market. There is Sony, LG, Samsung, Panasonic and so on. But the thing is, is their product match the price? Can we get same stuff with better spec at the same price?

For me I would choose the spec than the brand. Although regarding this matter one should do a better research on the price offered and also the specs.

As an example, I was craving for mp3 player or multimedia player. I go for my n95 but being a phone and most of the time it will be used for calling, battery run out pretty damn fast. I seek another media player for entertainment during travel.

Being a staff for electronic company, I got staff price for their item. But still, for me the product is pricey. 2gig mp3 player with nice sound will cost me RM170. I look around the net and looking for mp5 player.

I found one with bigger capacity (4GB flash memory), support more format (mp3, avi, mp4, wmv, etc), 3" screen and no need conversion for video files. Can just copy and drag to folder. And this player also has TVoutput, where I can bring as a player for movie, videos, music, etc. when traveling or staying at hotels or anywhere that provide tv.

And guess the brand?? Its brand-less.ahahaha..made in china product. But still the quality is quite good.

As for sound quality, its decent enough for my ear. Provided with quality headphone the bass will just pump in. Plus it has built in speaker and mic too. For multimedia gadget, this mp5 player will suit me fine. Maybe will buy another one as present for my sister if she get good result in exam ;)

For portable media player, PMP, I think its better to buy it from internet. I do tried to look for one at Low Yat, but the seller there will just rip you off. Thinking you are a noob and they demand high price. I bought this mp5 player for RM150 plus shipping from lelong.com.my. I dont have to walk around lowyat to look for one with my taste and regret few minutes later after found another one with cheaper price., dont have to pay for parking, tolls, fuel and dont have to go out from kajang.gyahahahaha.

I dont care its china made and it suppose to be priced lower, since my budget was RM170 and I get something with more specs. Now can watch video while driving..lalalalala~
