Good news for netbook fans: Sony’s bringing its 10.1-inch Vaio W model. Its a 10.1-inch netbook equipped with a 1366 x 768 LED backlit display, Intel’s Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM memory, a 160GB HDD with pre-installed Windows XP OS.

The Sony Vaio W netbook arrive also with a built-in web camera and microphone, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet LAN, as well as two USB ports, a Memory Stick / SD Card reader, and a VGA output.

Retail price for Vaio W netbook about $500, sales starts in next month.

Toshiba Mini NB205 netbook arrived on the U.S. market and now available! The new Toshiba’s netbook features a 10.1″ 1024×600 LED display, the Intel Atom N280 processor at 1.66GHz, Intel’s GMA 950 integrated graphic card, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 160GB HDD with preinstalled Win XP, and a 6-cell battery for “up to 9 hours”.

The Toshiba Mini NB205 netbook equipped with a built-in webcam and microphone, a mono speaker, 802.11b/g WiFi, an LAN port, three USB ports, a VGA output, and a 2-in-1 media card reader.

The Toshiba’s Mini NB205-N310 and NB205-N210 netbooks start at $399 and $349 respectively

Sony unveiled its new VAIO NW series. The new laptops featuring a 15.5″ display, resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 512MB dedicated graphic cards, and a Blu-Ray Combo drive.

The Sony VAIO NW also includes a chicklet style keyboard, built-in web camera and microphone, HDMI and VGA outputs, WiFi, a Gigabit LAN port, three USB ports an ExpressCard slot, SD card and Memory Stick PRO slots, and a Firewire port.

The VGN-NW180J/S comes with the Core 2 Duo P7350 at 2GHz, 4GB of DDR2 memory, and a 400GB hard drive and runs Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit OS.

The notebook starts at $800 for the standard configuration (add $880 for models equipped with the Blu-ray drive).

Sony today unveiled the VAIO® NW notebook– a new line of PCs that provide a powerful high-definition experience while starting at just $800 for the standard model and $880 equipped with Blu-ray Disc™ technology.

Part of a series, the NW notebook features an optional Blu-ray Disc ROM drive making it ideal for viewing pristine HD content on-the-go. It also has the added convenience of DVD and CD read/write functionalities.

The model features a high-resolution 15.5-inch widescreen display (diagonal), making it easy to view two full web pages– no side-to-side scrolling necessary. Sony’s XBRITE-ECO™ LCD technology has also been added so movies and photos can be enjoyed in brilliant clarity and razor-sharp detail.

For those who prefer to watch content on a big screen television, the PC has an HDMI™ output connector so it can be connected to a TV set for a larger viewing experience in high-definition.

“This notebook sets a precedent in the industry merging powerful Blu-ray technology with a portable, head-turning design– all for an unheard of low price,” said Mike Abary, senior vice president of the VAIO business group at Sony.

Gracefully thin, the notebook has a wavy textured finish and is available in three colors: walnut brown, birch white, and rattan silver.

The NW notebook features an isolated keyboard making it comfortable while reducing typing errors. Its translucent, textured touchpad enables you to smoothly control mouse movement.

The model is equipped with a “display off” button so you can turn off its screen while the notebook continues to run in the background. This lets users conserve power while enabling them to quickly resume PC functionality without waiting for it to boot back up. An instant internet button launches directly into the web without having to wait for the Windows® operating system to load.

The series comes with three Sony entertainment software applications. Offerings include VAIO Movie Story software– an easy way to produce your own high-quality home movies, VAIO MusicBox software– a fun and automated way to enjoy music based on one’s mood, and Click to Disc/ Editor software– for easy video editing and creation.

Easily transfer data, such as photos from your digital camera or music from an MP3 player, to and from the PC with a multitude of connectivity options including three USB ports and ExpressCard®, SD card and Memory Stick PROTM slots.

A built-in webcam and microphone lets users video chat with family, friends and colleagues. A third-party internet service provider is required.

BenQ has unveiled a new netbook named Joybook Lite U121 Eco. The Joybook Lite U121 Eco powered by Intel Atom™ Z520/Z530 CPU, Windows XP Home edition or Linux lite, 11.6″ WXGA (1366×768) display, 32GB SSD that can be upped by SATA HDD up to 500GB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, optional Built-in 3.75G HSUPA. Battery life promises to last up to 8 hours provided by its 6-cell pack. Bad news for U.S. customers: the new netbook will arrive to China, Taiwan and Malaysia markets only.

Good news for Acer Aspire fans: the Acer Aspire One D250 can be purchased online through mWave.
The new 2.4-pound netbook priced at $309 and comes with the Intel Atom N270 processor at 1.60GHz, the GMA 950 integrated graphics, a 160GB hard drive with Windows XP Home preloaded, 1GB of RAM, a 3-cell battery as a standard, and a built-in web camera. The 10.1″ display has a resolution of 1024×600 pixels.

MSI has unveiled its new netbooks, called Wind U123 series and featuring a 10-inch display and Intel’s Atom N280 1.66GHz CPU.

The first three models are the U123, U123H and U123T, all based on the Intel 945GSE chipset. The netbooks come with 1GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 160GB of hard drive space, and a 3- or 6-cell battery. The LED backlight display has a resolution of 1024×600 pixels.

The U123 and the U123H with 3.5G HSDPA mobile broadband support have three USB ports. The U123T has two USBs, but includes a built-in TV tuner.

The netbooks weigh around 2.2 pounds. The U123 has “sharper lines and more stylish new colors like the pearl white, dolphin gray, midnight blue and silver red favored by young professional office workers”.

Acer has unveiled its new consumer laptops - Aspire 8935, 5935, and 3935, featuring 18.4-, 15.6-, and 13.3-inch 16:9 displays respectively.

The 8935 is an 18.4-inch model, the 5935 15.6-inches and the inch-thick 3935 a “golden-brown” 13.3-incher, all with 16:9 aspect ratio CineCrystal displays.

With the latest Intel CPUs, the 8935 offers up to 1TB, the 5935 500GB and the 3935 is available with a choice of HDD or SSD. All models get up to 4GB RAM.

All models offer Wi-Fi, Dolby sound, a webcam, options for Bluetooth, WiMAX and 3G and the option of Acer’s Bio-Protection fingerprint security solution.

The new Asus 16-inch F50SV-X1, a laptop with the GeForce GT 120M video card, is now available.

The Asus F50SV-X1 comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 processor at 2GHz, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive with Windows Vista Home Premium installed, and a DVD burner. The GT 120M dedicated GPU that includes 1GB of video memory and 32 processing cores, LCD screen resolution is 1366 x 768.

The Asus F50SV-X1 is priced at $799.
