For the first time in years we had above zero temperatures and blue skies. The racing was proficiently handled by the race committee which ensured that all fleets were set off on time. The 5 larks shared their start with the 420's and they seemed to pop up all through the race proving extremely

A great entry of 44 larks turned out for the 2011 Lark winter championships at Northampton Sailing Club. The 2011 event will probably remembered more for the legendary social than the sailing though. Unfortunately the wind Gods did not play ball!
Unbeknown to the competitors the winter

It is difficult to know where to start when trying to entice poor innocent dinghy sailors to the Lark Winter Championships. I could wax lyrical about the quality of the racing, hold forth on the friendliness of Northampton Sailing Club or tell unlikely yet true stories about the legendary dinner

The 2011 Harken Winter Championships is almost upon us, so not only is it the last major Lark Championships of the year, but it's time to dust off the DJ, practice your acceptance speeches(!!) and get yourself down to Northampton Sailing Club for some top quality sailing and entertainment.
At Least five National Champions and two World Champions in a fleet of thirty four, it must be the Lark Masters!

The Lark may not be the most recent design but the boat designed in 1966 by Michael Jackson (not the well known singer) still attracts the top sailors for the Masters
