Las Vegas Home Price 15 Year Comparison

This chart shows how affordable our homes are in 2010. The interest makes a huge difference too. Read the payment comparison below the chart.

The huge difference for home owners and investors who are going to mortgage their home investment is the payment. In 1996 the payment would have been $984. In 2010 the payment would be $648 for a $130,000 mortgage. That is 34% more in 1996 than todays payment would…

Las Vegas Short Sales Update

The state of the Las Vegas Real Estate market is one that is in flux, to a certain extent. The Foreclosure rates in Las Vegas have been dropping and the market has rapidly been shifting to Las Vegas Short Sales.

Las Vegas Short Sales

As noted above, Las Vegas Short sales have increased substantially the last two years, with 31% of all homes sold in July being short sales – this per…

Las Vegas Hangs Tough!

Without a doubt the US and the economy here in Las Vegas are going through some challenging times. But, we think, as do many others, the news media and public are too focused on consumer buying – there is much more to our economy than consumer purchasing habits!

One of the big drivers in our economy is corporate spending. As an example, Wynn Hotels just announced a huge remodeling project for…

Las Vegas Real Estate More Stable

Just about 20% of all Las Vegas Real Estate was 60 days late on their mortgage payments for the second quarter of 2010 based on numbers just released. The good news is the Las Vegas Real Estate market is improving, if ever so slightly.

This same mortgage delinquency rate for Las Vegas has dropped in the most recent quarter. The last three years we have see the mushrooming increase of Las Vegas Foreclosures…

Las Vegas Foreclosures Receding

Las Vegas Foreclosures Receding as our market continues to shift to more Las Vegas Short Sales as our local financial institutions continue to work with homeowners. However, the state of Nevada, with Las Vegas leading the way is still ranked number one for foreclosure filings in the US for the 43rd consecutive month in a row.

Realty Trac has just reported that our 13,727 Las Vegas Foreclosures filings in July were about…

Las Vegas Market Still Evolving

Las Vegas home sales dipped slightly in July, although this was anticipated due to the expiration of the tax credit the previous month. July did reflect a change from the previous three months, in that during this time period we have experienced modest increases in prices and volume when contrasted with a year ago.

Las Vegas Home Inventory

Inventory of homes on the Multiple Listing Service increased 6.5 percent from a year…
