More than 124,000 fish died at Lake Grapevine this week as this summer's nonstop heat severely depleted oxygen levels, an official with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department said.

"There were lots of dead fish stacking up at the Silver Lake Marina," said Tom Hungerford, a fisheries biologist for the agency. The marina is at the southeast end of the lake near the dam.

Hungerford listed other dead species as gizzard shad, bluegill, white bass, freshwater drum, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and white crappie.

Low oxygen Monday and Tuesday killed the fish, he said. On Tuesday, when temperatures reached 103 degrees at nearby Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, the hypoxia, or oxygen depletion, level was 1.2 parts per million.

"Anything under 3 parts per million and you start to see fish die," Hungerford said.

The lake received 0.02 inch of rain Monday, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which manages the lake. The lake is down more than 3 feet from its normal level.

and won a parliamentary majority for a government of its own choosing. Hizballah is hoping to avoid the embarrassment of the U.N. tribunal — which is expected to indict some Hizballah members in the killing of Hariri's father, former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri — by ending Lebanese cooperation with the body.

The fact that Hizballah was able to bring down the government in order to impose its will speaks to the balance of power on the ground in Lebanon.

The country is currently in the grip of a game of brinkmanship that threatens to plunge it back into the sectarian civil warfare. All sides have good reason to avoid that outcome, but the balance of power on the street, and in parliament, is currently tilted more in Tehran's favor than in Washington's.

Abbas' Authority was so spooked by the events in Tunisia that it banned demonstrations celebrating them and even prohibited the flying of the Tunisian flag in the West Bank.

That new Middle East was on view during the two-day visit to Lebanon this week by Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad — and it looks nothing like the vision pursued by the Bush Administration's military-driven strategy of dividing the region into "moderate" and "radical" camps locked in a fight to the finish

Lebanon visit nonetheless underscores three harsh truths for the U.S. and its allies

First, Iran is not nearly as isolated as Washington would like

secondly, the Bush Administration efforts to vanquish Tehran and its allies have failed

finally, the balance of forces in the region today prompts even U.S.-allied Arab regimes to engage pragmatically with a greatly expanded Iranian regional role

Iran's regional paradigm shift will be felt worldwide and the 1st to feel it will be Israel to fulfill God Word

Iran and Syria, Hezbollah has three structures dedicated logistics of transporting its weapons - about 40,000 rockets

The first unit is 108, which was probably "taken into account" the missile M-6002. His "principal office" is in Damascus. The unit 108 is responsible for transporting weapons and ammunition from storage sites located in Syria and other infrastructure located at the Syrian-Lebanese border, where the Shiite militia has stepped up its bases. A few months ago, we were still at the stage of flight testing. And today? "We can not exclude that vectors produced as a model in Iran have been provided to Syria," said the expert cited.
